07/02/2026: Extremely disappointed with the Biriyani here. This is in fact the worst biriyani I ever had. I understand this is not authentic and not the traditional dish, but even for a western biriyani, it was too bad and I have pretty low standard for biriyani. It was so soggy/mushy and I understand you mixed a chicken curry with basmati rice and boiled them together. Everything was sticking together. You are scamming people by calling this Biriyani. I wanted to try other dishes from here but I don't think I will order from here again.

08/11/2025: Staff was friendly, it’s likely you don’t get a seat inside and seating outside is limited too. Toilets that belong to The Treehouse are in a container and the smell of urine is offputting. The food - absolutely no value for money, overpriced for what you get, would not return.

23/08/2025: No idea why people rave about this place. It was very busy at the time I was there, so I didn't mind queuing for the 10 minutes. Although the system was terrible, (they had to stop taking orders as they ran out of buzzers to give out, so when you reached the front of the queue you had to wait until a buzzer came back - woeful setup but anyway), I eventually ordered two acai bowls, with nutella, and one with no banana. 40 minutes passed, I went back up and asked if there was an issue, as I thought my order had been forgotten. I was told that they had to find somone to make them (???). I obviously didn't look too impressed, so I was offered a free slice of cake, which I gracefully accepted. After another 10 minutes, my buzzer went off, and I went to collect. Both bowls had banana, and both were covered in peanut butter, not nutella. At this point I was so sick of waiting, I just handed the bowls, and the free cake, back and asked for a refund, which they gave me no problem. Very disappointed that I wasted so much time, the way the place is set up is completely to blame. Once it gets busy, it's a nightmare. 2 stars as we had eaten here the night before, and the food was fine, but extremely expensive.

13/06/2026: I am a regular customer, I get take aways every often. It's a request to you guys at least change the recipe for each dishes I have tried many curry dishes and every one of them taste the same. You are serving people food so please some justice to the money that they are spending. Thanks

02/08/2025: Worst Chinese in Ireland.Gone downhill big time, food used to be nice but often not hot enough especially the fried rice and often the spring rolls. Two years laterafter starting this review and the food is worse again, portion sizes have deminished , I was given a main course Satay Chicken instead of a starter portion, you would think that was a good thing but the chicken was big rubbery pre-boiled pieces with no taste and the sauce was terrible, the beef curry was equaly as tasteless, fried rice was barley warm and over cooked, again with big slices of tough pre-boiled beef. China park insults the people of Bunclody by serving this muck, chinese food is one of my favourites, but this place makes a mockery of the cuisine, the "chef" should hang his head in shame, never again will I go here after being a client of 20 years.

28/08/2025: This place was fab up until new owners took over,. Orders are been cancelled religiously, they don't answer the phone, food isn't the best, very oily, but the whole canceling orders is a joke!

03/08/2025: Me and my parents ordered and got chips battered sausage and a burger Chips had nothing in them or they were rock solid definitely reheats battered sausage was burnt This chipper has gone massively downhill

15/02/2026: Got a delivery tonight food was hot to be fair plenty of food in the container I ordered a 4 in 1 with onions and peas but curry was not nice it’s was very watery hardly any flavour chips was mushy half cooked rice was over cooked was very mushy chicken was fine onions taste very watery as if they where frozen rather than fresh onions peas where fine

22/05/2026: I dont like giving bad reviews I tend to focus on the positive but this is so important because the food in this chipper was outstanding. It's sad to see the decline in quality taste and freshness. We were starving and ordered a fresh cod chips , steak and kidney pie, curry cheese chips chicken thigh. Lady serving very efficient and friendly. The man was working away too not welcoming but that's ok. Paid €27.90 and ate very little. Unfortunately the fresh cod was rubbery and it bent like rubber as I tried to break it. It was tasteless. The batter wouldn't break and it tasted overdone. So very disappointed. My partner said this means the fish was blanched. I tried to bite into the fish and batter wouldn't give way. How sad is that if chipper cannot give great fish? People just love fish n chips. Unfortunately the curry cheese chips were so disappointing. I thought I was seeing things when I saw the server open an orange easi single! Thought it was a figment of my imagination. But no chips with rubbery melted singles on it and tiny bit of grated thrown over it. Hardly any curry sauce which tasted pleasant. Steak and kidney pie was completely raw on base I mashed it between my fingers and it was like making bread with flour when kneading. Completely gooey and white. Sides of top of pie were cooked lightly. Pie was microwaved for 15 seconds and was stone cold. There was no steak and no kidney just mush. The chicken thigh was excellent very tasty and piping hot and the plain chips were excellent. I understand there is a cost of living crisis and we are all trying to make ends meet but please if you own a business take pride. €27.80 is not to be sniffed at. Please don't lower standards of food. Fish should fall apart and batter should be crispy. Easi singles on chips are a no go! I understand perhaps you are trying to stretch the grated cheese but we are paying good money for tasty fresh quality takeaway food. This isn't acceptable and it's unfair. Take pride and lift standards back up now. Perhaps look at prices of items on your menu and raise price of some of them? You do have good meal deals so raise by €1 per meal? There are ways and means but sacrificing the quality of your food isn't one! Not an option. People will give you a chance and support local business and jobs if you take note and make the necessary changes now. I took photos and videos and will post later. Hopefully you read reviews and get back to the standard you were years ago. Best of luck ty

27/04/2026: Hadn't ordered from here in years but fancied a small evening snack rather than a full meal. Ordered delivery through the app: a chip butty, a battered sausage, and sausage and chips for the kids. Everything arrived quickly, piping hot, and the notes were followed perfectly with plenty of salt and vinegar. Enjoyable overall, no complaints at all, and I’ll definitely be ordering again soon.

17/01/2026: How can you go wrong with a bag of chips? Very easily as I found out tonight. They wern't hot, felt semi-cooked/pre-cooked, infact just bloody awful & after an hour of eating them I was really sick. Do yourself a favour & avoid this place at all costs. 🤮

17/05/2026: Three months ago, I wrote a review as we had had an unsatisfactory experience with Four Star. Last month, we got another order from Four Star. I'm not sure what happened to one of our pizzas but it was almost as if the toppings slid off most of the crust to huddle in a corner of the box. I didn't do a review about that. Today we placed an order. We ordered cajun wedges and spiced wedges. We got spiced wedges (with no sauce even though we'd ordered BBQ sauce) and rather than cajun wedges, we received an order of chicken wings. Considering the person who ordered these wedges is vegetarian, receiving chicken wings was not acceptable. We had also ordered chicken bites with BBQ sauce; we received garlic/herb sauce, which is not liked by anyone in the household. Three strikes and you're out, Four Star. I think we'll need to find another pizza place moving forward.

25/12/2025: The Lemon Tree Edenmore fall off needs to be studied… went from one of the best chinese takeaways around to the worst around! Actually insane how much this place went to the dogs yas should be ashamed giving people food poisoning everytime they eat it

27/04/2026: The worst Indian dinner I've ever had. Ingredients missing from dishes. Meat was sparse, naan was like rubber, mushroom dish was mostly onions. Chips were grand.
