04/04/2025: Dreadful chipper. Kebabs are disgusting, chips are horrendous. Keep away from this so called chipper. They take ages to do food. In my opinion not a good chipper, stay away!!! Glad it's closed as it deserves to be closed permanently. Worst chipper I've ever been to.

25/10/2025: I bought a pizza from Sizzlers Pizza a few nights ago. Honestly, I didn’t really enjoy the taste — it wasn’t what I expected. However, the customer service was okay, and the staff were polite. The restaurant itself is clean and well-kept, and the prices are reasonable for what they offer. Overall, it’s an average experience — not bad, but not great either.

22/07/2025: Vile,Vile overpriced stuff. 2 hours late on delivery literally only up the road. forgot two items chips and coke. Garlic bread disgusting cardbordy and chewy. only the kebab was half decent. terrible

20/07/2025: EV charger out of service a week now and they still don't have the cop on to put a sign on it to say it's out of order

16/02/2025: Poor quality food. Bland. Greasy. Chips soggy. Chicken dry hot and spicy was pure dried out chicken. Rice didn't seem fresh and fluffy. Sweet and sour sauce flavourless with grease in it. They don't take card only cash. Will Never go back there again

17/08/2025: Worst Chinese takeaway we have had. Rice noodles were dry, chicken is boiled, defrosted and without flavoi. Wings was ok but sauce was mostly liquid.

05/09/2025: I visited this week, pizza was good, the service from my waiter was excellent but the place is rather dirty. Especially upstairs where I was sitting, lots of old crumbs on the benches (and I was the first one in on the day, so the dirt must have been older?). The dirtiness made it very unpleasant unfortunately

24/08/2025: Terrible service, I don’t particularly feel like begging restaurants to take my money. They would not serve us outside, quoting a litany of issues, including that they didn’t have staff to service their 3 outdoors tables, all the while having people already eating at one of the tables. No amount of asking nicely or suggesting alternatives could persuade them to provide us with a pleasant experience on a rare sunny day! No thanks!

03/09/2025: Why I hadn’t tried this before , I don’t know ! Had heard of the breast in a bun, but just thought it’d be cheap rubbish . Turned out it was a lovely fillet breast in delicious seasoning . I liked it so much, i went out searching for it the following day (and minus beers haha) and it was just as good ! 😋

09/08/2025: Closed Sunday Bank Holiday. Joke Downhill last 5 years. August 2025 at midnight no chicken left... No chicken, in Hillbillys. Closes before 12.30 too. This used to be open till after 2am.

05/08/2025: They are cheating on prices! For several months, I ate there once a week, and only now I realised I was being charged €3 more than what the kiosk and receipt indicated. I have all the receipts to prove it. Be aware of these thieves!

22/11/2025: Ive been a member of the gym for a while now. Its a shame that I pay for a full membership and can never use the pool as it is always taken up by kids swimming classes or mommy and baby classes. Ive gone at every different time of the day and theres ALWAYS a class in the pool. Ive asked the staff multiple times to put up the time tables in the locker rooms but they never do as theyre “constantly changing”. Theyd rather make money off the classes, than prioritise the people who pay for the gym membership. There are only four showers in the womens changing room with see through curtains and broken soap dispensers. They always forget to put on the air vents so its always super warm. Theres mould in the showers and womens locker rooms as well and theyre filthy. Theres only one changing room thats usable as the doors have literally warped because of the heat. The pool isnt cleaned regularly enough and you can feel the dirt on the floor when youre swimming. The temperature of the pool is either freezing or nice and warm. Theres no in between. The hot tub isnt regularly cleaned either and sometimes it stinks! Theres a hole in the ceiling of the pool as well that hasnt been fixed in years. The stairs up to the gym havent been touched in 15 years and looks like a construction site. There’s literally been a slice of toast sitting on the stairs for YEARS. The carpet in the hall between the stairs and changing rooms is full of mould and hasnt been changed in years and it stinks. The gym itself is alright but theres absolutely no security. Creepy men stumble in and out whenever they want and dont look like theyre supposed to be there. There have been some men that wait for other people to put the code in, to get into the gym. Not worth the price at all, the only usable thing is the gym and the studio.

07/11/2025: I am a member of the hotel gym, as I believe the hotel is still not open to the public, just for refugees or government deals. A pity, coz there is a nice McGettigan's restaurant, but generally empty. Nice gym with mostly welcoming, friendly stuff, good new trainers in the last weeks. I specially like classes with Jose & Paul. They push you, but don't kill you with the workouts 😂 It would be good if they turned down the AC, specially in winter. AC sometimes is so high, that my throat feels really bad after a while there. In some classes the AC is blasting over your head. So you are sweating and freezing at the same time, which is ackward. Thus, the class doesn't feel so useful, as you don't probably sweat. Also would be useful if the deep cleaning is done at the beginning or end of the day, instead of the cleaner pouring down toxic bleach when you are showering or getting changed 😆
