The best restaurants

13/08/2026: Chicken so tough none of us could bite through it. And not battered much either. Burger bun was soaked in sauce. Would’ve given it back but not worth it driving there and back a second time with the long wait.

27/07/2026: After going to the Texaco location, it's genuinely angering me reading some of the bad reviews on here. Saw some morons call it overpriced. Genuinely don't know how you can reach that conclusion. A big double patty burger, a mountain of fries (their medium fries puts the large portion in other fast food places to shame), and an Oreo milkshake for 13.50 is outrageously good value. Honestly unbelievable in this day and age when you're paying the same price for a smaller portion of processed stuff up the road in Burger King. The food was excellent, the presentation of the food was great, food came hot and freshly cooked, and service was swift. Can sit indoors and out, and there's also a drive thru. My girlfriend and I went on a Sunday afternoon and there were a few customers there but still very chill and easy to find seating. The type of place where you hope the food and prices never change. Loved it. My singular complaint was they need to update the menus on the ordering kiosk screens to show pictures of the food. I'll be back, this is the BEST burger joint in Gorey.

31/07/2026: Sum total of like 9 fries for €6. Nearly at €1 per chip there. Pizza very very good but I can’t forgive the chips

30/07/2026: Ordered One 14 inch margarita pizza and it took almost 2 hours till I got the the pizza. Keep in mind that I live in Terenure which makes it even worse. As you can see in the screenshot I ordered at 19:30 and the pizza wasn’t even on its way by 21:22 which is just a disgrace. The only reason it’s getting 2 stars is because the pizza was mediocre at best

22/09/2026: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Ordered the seafood pasta and lasagna. There was a long bone in the pasta which i nearly chocked on. Then came across a bit of plastic, barely ate half of the pasta so sent it back, Waitress went back to the chef and the chef tried to say the plastic was off of the prawns even tho it was peeled prawns in the dish??? We got fed up and went to pay and mentioned about the bone again when the chef came out shouting ‘not my f***ing problem it comes from the factory in a bag’. There was no point in arguing so we paid FULL PRICE which is outrageous. If i could give 0 stars i would. Maybe you should change suppliers so you dont end up killing somebody!

15/07/2026: We were here as a family and were very satisfied. Warm bread with Irish butter and a large carafe of water were served beforehand. The food was excellent.

16/08/2026: Got food here after couple of pints ,food excellent but all the staff were Super friendly and Chatty ,HIGHLY RECOMMEND dropping in here 👏👏👏👏

10/05/2026: Tourists BEWARE. Several men here were physically violent to me here and I was from thence banned. Bar staff here communicate with each other to ban women who dont enable it [Marcy's, O'Conner's O'Donaughes, Pig's Lane] A skeezy place for men with performance insecurity to prey on drunk women. 🙄 With disease rates as they are and employment/economic security here as it is they should prioritize customer safety and service.

20/08/2026: I couldn't fault this place. Spotless and great staff. I'd the €25 steak offer and honestly it was delicious. I'd spot there again on my journey home.

12/08/2026: Myself and my partner had a steak dinner with all the trimmings home made chips ,mushrooms baby tomatoes caramelised onions ,pleantyfull bounty I would rather it 5 star exelant

02/08/2026: This place was extremely homophobic loads of people were making out and specifically targeted two girls that were kissing. Bouncer issued a warning to stop. This is not a queer friendly space and should be avoided. Prices and staff were abysmal aswell

18/09/2026: Had a beautiful meal here tonight. Freshly cooked, staff attentive and friendly. Very reasonably priced. Excellent service

21/06/2026: We waited 40 minutes for mediocre food. I’m pretty sure they brought in the groceries for our dinner about 20 mins after we ordered. Keeping in mind the restaurant was open for an hour at this stage. The the tables and the water jugs were all dirty. The toilets were dirty and had no designated lady’s facility’s. We were also brought the wrong food. To top it all off at the end where where dull charged a 10% service fee as we where a table of 4 ans then they only accepted cash.

27/07/2026: Went in this morning and ordered a breakfast bagel and tea, the woman took the order, gave me the tea and told me to take a seat and she'd send it over. 25 minutes later and a cold pot of tea it still hadn't arrived so I went back in ,got a refund and left. It's not as though it was busy , they just forgot to make it

27/06/2026: Walked in and ordered a Mexican melt and a cappuccino. The lady said you need to order over there and pointed at the floor tile beside the one I was standing on. Then a man came in behind me and ordered a sandwich and they started to make it. I was skipped even though I ordered first so I just left. I think the man who came in after me but was served before me was the same nationality as the ignorant woman behind the counter. I walked out without being served and I won't be back. I buy nice rolls from the deli in SuperValu beside this shop and they're much better than O'Brien's sandwiches

17/09/2026: Ordered food for collection and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. Ended up waiting an extra 20 minutes in the shop with no update or apology for the delay. To make things worse, the woman serving me was rude throughout — no acknowledgement of the wait, just poor attitude. If you're going to quote a collection time, either stick to it or communicate delays properly. Won't be ordering again.

13/09/2026: Should have known not to order from a chain endorsed by Conor Ryan but ordered a “Savage Spice Bag” from JustEat for delivery. Delivery was avg time, fair enough. Bag weighed nearly a kg so I thought happy days but it was just all chips. About 4 pieces of chicken and a single chicken ball. Far too much seasoning, an overpowering amount of dried chillies. Rip off for €14.50 , far better value elsewhere in Bray. Avoid.

06/07/2026: Ordered a coffee to have here but they made it to go. I mentioned again it is to have at the premises. The barista just dumped the whole thing in a cup and handed it to me. Kind of regret getting off the train in Connolly just for a coffee here. Definitely won’t be visiting again. Disappointing morning coffee.

14/05/2026: Perfect coffee, you get it incredibly quickly. Great for having coffee before work. Amazing croissants. Stuff is incredibly nice and helpful

24/04/2026: Guys please, do not order from this pizza shop. Totally disaster, my family and I just got food poisoned. Sick since yesterday, my mom was throwing up the whole night till now. One of my little brother is sick and throwing up, my twin brother also sick and throwing up. And now me. I have been throwing up 9 times now. So bad.

14/06/2026: First time here and it will be my last , the ribs were good but the sauce was supposed to be BBQ ( I’m not sure what it tasted of) , the aromatic duck was unfortunately burnt and had small bones in it. Sweet and sour chicken was ok. You would expect better for the price. Staff were nice.

05/09/2026: Just left the restaurant after taking my two young children for dinner. The kid's meals were delivered without toys. I asked at the counter if they had toys, and was advised by Anastasia that they were out of stock. I asked if they were offering anything in lieu of the toys, and she said no. I stated that the toy is included in the cost of the meal, and asked to speak with someone who might be able to offer an alternative. She said she could get a supervisor, but rudely stated "he'd say the same thing." The supervisor, Luke (I think was his name), was very helpful, apologetic, and offered to refund the cost of two kids meal toys. Anastasia was observing, and I suggested that in the future she should ask a supervisor, instead of making assumptions. She got very confrontational and argumentative, and I said I'm not interested in arguing with you. She escalated further, until the supervisor asked her to step away. I suggest further training in customer service for this employee. She is completely incapable of maintaining professional behaviour or addressing customer service issues appropriately.

29/08/2026: The staff said nothing except calling out the number. No napkins no ketchup no other word. Saw them eating fries with their bare hands. Not even bother to hide from customers
