03/08/2025: Great coffee. We had the almond croissant, a bit to full with cream that was light on the almond. However, 17€ for 2 lattes and 2 almond croissants.... Ouch

14/02/2025: Very friendly staff and good service but food wasn’t good. Pasta al limone was inedible because it was so bitter and the tiramisu was frozen in the middle. Disappointing.

08/02/2025: recently visited Don gregorio, a fresh pasta spot in the city, with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was a mixed bag. I ordered the spicy pasta with guanciale, and I was disappointed to find that the dish didn’t include any guanciale at all. The pasta itself was clumped together, likely because it wasn’t loosened enough with sauce, and the sauce lacked flavor. For a restaurant specializing in fresh pasta, this was a letdown. On a positive note, the **mortadella focaccia** was excellent—well-prepared and flavorful. The **coffee and cannoli** were also highlights of the meal, and I’d definitely recommend them. One frustration was missing out on the **ragu special**, which is one of my favorites. I wasn’t informed about it by the staff but overheard the waiter telling other customers. It would have been nice to have been given the same opportunity to try it. Overall, while there were some bright spots, the inconsistency in the food and service left me underwhelmed. I might give it another try in the future, but for now, I’d recommend sticking to the appetizers and desserts.

03/07/2025: I was there today and I ordered from Beatrice and within SECONDS my food was in my hands with napkins and a little box and everything that you could ever want. FANTASTIC SERVICE!!

16/08/2025: Over priced Over salted chips Undercooked burger and absolutely terrible for something that cost me over 20euro to eat. Staff were very loud also and I did not enjoy my time in the restaurant

05/06/2025: Not a very pleasant place tbh and staff are quite rude becaue they are in SWORDS ...my self and my daughter called in to get burger and chips ....tbh i was very disappointed it cost around 50 euro for 2 sub par burgers ,the chips were good but the burers were awful ...my daughter said that I would make better ...this wasn't the experience I was expecting and my daughter didn't eat hers ..... not good five guys .. .not good at all

10/09/2025: This hotel should be condemned. Our accommodations were terrible. The room smelled like Clorox. We were told we could not have dinner in the bar because there was a funeral and when we returned for a night cap, someone in the funeral party vomited all over the floor in front of us. The shower diverter was broken, scolding hot, no way to adjust. The hallway and stair carpets were dirty and smelled. Should have read reviews as this same issues were mentioned as far back as Covid 19 and obviously have not been addressed! Bad deal. We could not run out of there fast enough! There are better options 20 minutes down the road!!

07/09/2025: I rode my bike in pouring rain for half the day, this was the only place that had vacancy. Might as well have been heaven. The pub / restaurant oozes authenticity and what a wonderful view to boot. Fish n chips and their goat cheese salad? Unreal. I’ll take this over a cookie cutter hotel any day.

15/06/2025: €17 for a Roast chicken dinner and I kid you not it was the worst I’ve ever attempted to eat in my life, I rarely have a complaint and I’ll move on not the end of the world but I was so so disgusted after eating in here the other day, the chicken is literally a breast of chicken fried, and so hard on the outside, not a sliced roasted chicken as you’d expect, I ate the potatoes because I was so hungry at the time and paid so much! I left everything else, I felt proper scammed! Photo is what I walked away and left!

27/08/2025: Been charged twice for one order.Food was nice as always but paying almost 39e for half pounder meal its as steal.just eat helpline said they see double order and twio of them was marked as delivered(received just one), so for them its no problem

17/08/2025: Two times I have asked for my wrap and my burger to have cheese, and they have never put it, even though they say ‘Yes’

26/06/2025: Got salt and chilli chips here and everything was wrong about them! Frozen chips quite skinny, piled with onions with afew chilli’s and very scarce peppers. Served in a plastic tub which made it very soggy and not nice at all! Paid €5.50 for it which it turned out to be quite a small portion in comparison to other Chinese takeaways in the area. Very poor food would not recommend! The girl behind the counter was friendly though hence why have given it some stars!

11/05/2025: As regular customers to Newbridge silverware restaurant..today was disappointing to say the least. My wife had tea and a raspberry scone which she said was lovely but as she was eating the scone she felt something in her mouth which happened to be a 1cm of hard plastic that was in the scone and my wife had it in her mouth. To our shock we went back to the counter where one girl at the till was shocked ..and then another girl came who I presume was the Supervisor..apologised and asked my wife if she wanted another scone..In my opinion those scones where contaminated and should have been removed immediately but they were left for other customers. No offer or an alter product ...no fresh tea but the ultimate insult was when she came down to the table and left 4 euro ..the price of the scone on the table. We were not looking for anything but just the situation was handled so poorly ..will not be visiting again which is a shame because we liked this restaurant
