12/03/2025: This chipper was quite the interaction the chicken burger gave me a stingy hole just like keven did 😉. There was loads of fighting going on and people headbutting each other quite the experience was like watching goats headbut each other. Bossman was speaking in gibberish almost like he was casting spells even the money in my hand started to float I don't know if they need a hygiene check or an exorcism in there all round good experience from what happened

02/11/2024: They don't deserve any stars at all,I ordered a meal at 17.26pm this evening and still waiting on it to arrive.i will never order anything again from this takeaway,very bad service

20/03/2025: Rudest staff I've ever witnessed. Asked to leave the seating having purchased food and they said you can't eat dunnes food outside. So disrespectful and rude as many other people have pointed out. Lots of people sitting outside with no food.

01/03/2025: I used to go there for almost 2 and half years. If not everyday but more than often. I always purchased tea and snacks. Today I felt very very low due to health issue .after grocery i couldn't find anyplace. I sat there with my 2yrs old son. And they came as asked me to leave without even showing any kind of courtesy. Naas dunnes. I know the rules being regular customer that you should be cafesol customer. But i have seen multiple times alot lot people sitting there without anything on table even when it is full. Today it was not even full..alot tables were available. It was just inhuman. Worst manager.very very rude.

10/04/2025: Great food when ordering in person to collect. Delivery, not so good. If you’re literally around the corner, how does the delivery driver go around the whole town first to deliver you cold food?

23/01/2025: Spice bag was so fresh. Possibly one of the nicest i’ve had. Food was so fast and service was friendly. Would definitely recommend this Chinese.

16/03/2025: Went for food, they set our order to the side so had to wait 50 mins for a battered sausage chips 2 dips and chip butty and 2 drinks, got the order and walked back to the car (a good bit past the four seasons hotel) and noticed they'd forgot one of the dips and battered sausage too, brought it back got the battered sausage through back in the bag and handed back to us not even an apology and feeling as if it was my fault they'd got it wrong to eat cold food in the car. On the plus side the sun was out

11/04/2025: Unfortunately I would not recommend this time but will give it another go as I have had pizza from here before and it is better than what I bought today. Bought chips that were anything but fresh; they seem to have been recooked over and over. Also bought a crostini and an arancini and I'm sad to say neither were good. Lovely staff though.

15/03/2025: I was at McDonald's in the morning and while waiting for my food, I saw a female employee grabbing food with her bare hands without gloves and preparing it for further processing. Meanwhile, she threw something into the scythe and touched the top of the scythe and continued without washing her hands. When I asked if it was okay for her to hold the food she was preparing for further processing with her hands, I was told that it was in accordance with McDonald's regulations. Can someone explain to me what this regulation is about handling food with hands without gloves for further processing??? What kind of hygiene is that??? The first time I was here a few months ago, the floor was not swept - I understand that customers can make a mess, so I thought it was good that there were a lot of children there then. However, this is unacceptable in terms of hygiene.

21/11/2024: Never coming here again. Ordered coffee and plain croissant and was told it would cost 7.80 euros! Croissant didn't even look fresh so I just had the coffee. When I mentioned it was expensive I was told it's because of the VAT. I've never paid that amount anywhere else in Midleton. Avoid at all costs!!!!

02/01/2025: **Disappointing Experience** We ordered takeaway from Shapla on the 31st of December, and I regret to say the service was unacceptable. When I called to place the order, I asked the person on the phone to give me a moment to get the Airbnb address. Instead of being patient, he told me to call back when I was ready and ended the call abruptly. When I called back with the address, he struggled to hear me and repeatedly moaned in frustration, even though I repeated myself several times. When the delivery driver arrived, I couldn’t tell if it was the same person or not, but the attitude was just as unpleasant. We told him to give us a second while we grabbed the cash for our €90 order, and he sighed, placed the food on the ground, and snatched the money rudely before walking away without a word. As for the food, the quality was equally disappointing. I found a hair in the food, the rice was unsalted, the chips were cold, and the butter chicken tasted like leftover curry sauce from the day before. The only redeeming item was the naan bread, but even that was overly doughy. I understand it was New Year’s Eve and a busy time, but this does not excuse such poor service and attitude. Customer service is crucial in the restaurant industry, and sadly, none of that was evident during our experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve both their food quality and their attitude toward customers.
