09/09/2026: the build itself is what most impressed me

07/09/2026: We visited for the new, short-term exhibition of the Annals of Inisfallen. It was our first time visiting and we were delighted, it's small but well curated, clean and quiet. We were really glad to see the Annals on display and the exhibition itself was thoughtful and provided a lot of context for the book. It was fantastic, especially for a free public exhibition! The gift shop had some really nice things from local artisans, which is always preferable to the same mass-produced tat. It was sweet to see a plethora of beautiful books in the children's section of the shop- hell, I was even tempted by a few volumes! We also visited the café-restaurant Léa in the basement and we'd like to go back next time to eat a full meal.

18/04/2026: The facilities were old, but the beds were comfortable. Also, the receptionist's attitude towards other white people was noticeably different from their attitude towards Asians. It felt like the place was small and there weren't many foreigners there.

16/04/2026: We recently had our son’s Christening in the restaurant in the Sheraton and we were absolutely blown away by the amazing service from the reservation team and the restaurant staff. The reservation team Rachel and Daniel were so quick to respond in emails and had everything organised for us- nothing was an issue! They were so efficient and arranged a lovely menu for our group which was so reasonable. The food we were served was absolutely delicious, everyone was so impressed! Joe, the restaurant manager was amazing- had a designated area for our large group and the table was decorated beautifully for our celebration. Kelly and Daniel were just fabulous servers and so attentive and really lovely to all the children too. It made our day even more special to have been looked after so well by these lovely people, we are so grateful to have had such a wonderful day. We can’t thank them enough and will definitely be back and book any future parties with them.

17/05/2026: Visited the mustard seed for dinner. Lovely atmosphere. Staff very attentive from the moment we arrived. I enjoyed sitting in the front living room, having a drink before our meal by the fire. Cannot fault the food. All fabulous. Due to high price point (but it is beautiful fine dining) I would personally only visit for a special occasion. I will return for a different special occasion and look forward to trying more items on the menu.

15/08/2026: We were passing through and stopped at this lovely pub. The service was very friendly, the food was delicious and arrived quickly. They even had non-alcoholic Guinness. Thank you so much! It made my day.

15/08/2026: We were a group of seven dining here and, despite it being his first day, our server was absolutely fantastic. He was genuinely lovely, friendly, attentive and did everything he could to look after us. Given the circumstances, he handled himself really well and deserves a lot of credit. That said, we did feel it was unfair that someone on their very first day was left to deal with a busy restaurant and a large table, as well as cover the bar & drinks under so much pressure, apparently without anyone properly supervising or supporting him. This isn’t a criticism of the server at all, quite the opposite. He did a great job despite being put in a very difficult position. Hopefully the management can take this as constructive feedback, because leaving a new member of staff to fend for themselves on a busy first shift doesn’t reflect particularly well on the restaurant’s training or quality standards. Overall, our server was excellent and couldn’t have been nicer. We just hope he’s given the support and training he deserves going forward.

05/08/2026: Overall, we had a great stay. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The hotel had a lovely atmosphere, and everything was clean and comfortable. The only downside was that the room was quite small, and we were disappointed that the rooftop was closed during our stay, as we were really looking forward to visiting it. Despite these minor issues, we had a very enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend this hotel.

12/09/2026: My wife and I did the Cocktail Masterclass at Stillgarden Distillery, and it was hands-down one of the best date nights we've had! Making the cocktails was super fun, and learning about the company's history and the inner workings of their distilling process was fascinating. A massive shoutout to Glen—he was extraordinarily knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely passionate about what he does, which made the whole experience top-tier. We loved every second of it and are already planning our return trip—this time for the Premium Gin School & Distilling Academy! I will definitely suggest this to anyone looking for a unique night out idea and who loves cocktails. Highly, highly recommend!

10/09/2026: Me and my husband booked the cocktail masterclass and had a blast! Glenn was super fun and answered all our questions while helping us create two absolutely delicious cocktails each. I can absolutely recommend it if you’re ever in the area! 😊

24/08/2026: Had dinner wasn't good had very bad experience with the staff and not very nice staff was not very helpful when I came to complain my food wasn't what I ordered the drink smells like vinegar the chef wasn't very helpful to me when I pointed out that my food didn't come out the way it said on the menu won't be going back

20/08/2026: I was there last weekend for lunch beautiful food and staff very pleasant but very over priced food for a pub food not a hotel 15-8-26 just dinner for 2 people near 50 euro so needs to bring down price to 17 or18 is plenty way to expensive for two in a pub

03/08/2026: What a mad house on a bank holiday weekend. Great band playing on way in. But with the boom boom coming from the disco at the rear they were impossible to hear. Lots of very drunk people about at 8 in the evening. Would not like to be here at 11pm really a place for the stags hens and young people.
