The best restaurants

20/09/2026: Had a really enjoyable night overall, and I want to give special recognition to one of the security guards who was genuinely lovely. There was a small misunderstanding while we were dancing. I accidentally bumped into someone and immediately apologised, and a few drops of my drink ended up on another person. I apologised to him as well, but unfortunately the response was quite confrontational, which left me feeling uncomfortable. When we spoke to security about it, one of the security guards was absolutely brilliant. He took us aside, listened to what had happened and was incredibly reassuring. He made us feel respected, heard and safe, and handled the situation in such a calm and professional way. I really want to say a massive thank you to him, because after an uncomfortable interaction, having a security guard respond with that level of kindness and understanding made a huge difference. He deserves a lot of recognition for how he treated us. For reference, this was on the night of 19–20 September, at approximately 23:50, so hopefully the management team can identify the security guard who was working at that time and pass on my thanks to him. Overall, we had a good night, but I especially wanted to leave this review so that his kindness and professionalism don't go unnoticed. ❤️

19/09/2026: Food & drinks was good. Service was a little slow but I think we arrived during a shift change as staff seemed to be switching over or going on breaks. Overall would recommend!

05/09/2026: Play House Café is a great spot for little ones, especially those aged 2–5. The play area has a lovely collection of toys, and parents can comfortably relax with a coffee while keeping an eye on their children. Entry is €8 per child per day, which feels like good value. There’s plenty of parking, and the space is clean and well‑maintained. Footwear needs to be left outside before entering the play zone. Mornings are usually quiet, but it gets busier after 12:00. Overall, a friendly, enjoyable place for kids — definitely worth a visit

13/08/2026: The best place space for toddlers. So safe, only 1 exit with a baby gate. You can see the whole room from your seat. Very reasonably priced with group deaI available. I go with a 5, 2 and 1 year old. I don't see them for the duration. Never had food so I can't comment. Plenty of parking. Staff are very friendly.

08/09/2026: We were driving from Carrick to Dublin. It was 11 a.m., and apparently still regular breakfast time in Ireland. They had sales, which are part of a typical Irish breakfast. It was busy, with a constant flow of people coming and going, so even the five of us quickly got a table. It was worth taking the exit from the M4 at Enfield.

26/08/2026: Delicious lasagne.coleslaw & chips.. Also recommend banoffee pie,yummy.

04/09/2026: Great pub. Great Guinness. Full of locals which is a great thing. Lots of screens with different sports on. Atmosohere is good.

10/08/2026: A fantastic bar! Our hotel was right next door, so we had to have our first Guinness there. We've been back three times now. It's very cozy with lots of locals. It's great for all ages. We even had the pleasure of experiencing a karaoke night. It was a fantastic party! We're in our forties and we would definitely come back. Everyone is incredibly friendly.

08/09/2026: The fish pie was seasoned so well i didn't even notice the rotten fish that gave me the meanest food poisoning of my entire life. Wouldn't recommend.

08/09/2026: A yummy Fishy Fishy fish pie & mash, finished with a fab sticky toffee pudding. I’ve not had one in over eight years - what a delight. Light and fluffy with a delicious treacle syrup 🤤

21/09/2026: Absolutely exceptional, cosy, right in the heart of Killarney with incredible coffee, great food and welcoming, attentive staff! The service and atmosphere are always a 10/10 , with outdoor seating for the nice sunny days and cosy indoor seating for when you need a lovely hot cup and a meal to hide from the cold It’s clear to see that the owner and all the staff are passionate experts at their craft! If you’re visiting Kerry you absolutely must come here!

28/05/2026: Visited with my family for food and drinks only, not the hotel stay. The location and views are absolutely beautiful — on a sunny day it genuinely felt more like being somewhere in Spain than Ireland. The atmosphere and seaside setting are definitely the highlight of this place. Unfortunately, the food and service did not match the location. The prices were quite high for the quality received — for example, the fish of the day with chips was €23 and quite disappointing. We also had to ask twice for additional drinks and the order was still ignored, which made the experience frustrating. Overall, a lovely place for the views and atmosphere, but the food and service need improvement.

25/08/2026: Not an unenjoyable experience, by any stretch, but I couldn't help but feel a little bit disappointed by the quality of the food. If I had just wandered in off the street with no expectations, I would have enjoyed it more, but knowing that it was a Michelin star restaurant, I was expecting to he wowed, which never happened. Overall, a decent Sunday lunch but the Michelin star is somewhat perplexing.

28/07/2026: As a birthday treat my son took myself and my wife for lunch at this restuarant. We arrived just at ppening time at 12.30pm We got a very warm friendly welcome as we were brought to our table. The lunch menu for the early bird lunch give you 3 choices for starters, mains and deserts. Each of us enjoyed different choices for all 3 courses. The level of detail taken by the chef was extrondery as all dishes were top class. The level of attention that we received from our waitor was exceptional. The table settings and comfort was also first class. I would reccomend this resturant for a special occasion to be spoilt .. We will be back!

22/08/2026: Lovely Chinese food and reasonably priced, it’s also quite nice to sit in for a meal. The lady owns it is always really friendly too.

It is still the greatest Chinese restaurant in the north west of Ireland, if not all of Ireland. Keep up the amazing work. -2026

11/06/2026: I am writing this review specifically because of one of your staff members Becca. Vibrant fun and full of energy - I have years of experience working in hospitality and also attending weddings and she is genuinely a super star and knows how to engage and have fun. Best of luck with everything and do not lose your shine! In terms of the venue I was blown away I fell in love with it, and within seconds knew we will be booking this venue for our big day I would say service was good, friendly and experienced. Again Becca stole the show - nothing worse than an NPC serving at a wedding and becca was the main character (bar the bride and groom) not a paid ad. Just seriously impressed.

10/06/2026: Fantastic area to visit amd amazing hotel to stay a long relaxing week or weekend. Would recommend to friends amd family who enjoy the best of what's to offer here.

08/07/2026: Good place as a stopover on the way from Cork to Galway. Friendly staff and tasty food. Meals are on the large side for lunch, but that is typically Irish.
