The best restaurants

26/05/2026: Of all the restaurants I've been to so far in Ireland, this was the best meal I've had. The scallops were cooked perfectly, and the combination with the black pudding was a pleasant surprise. The thyme brunoise didn't taste strongly of thyme, but it was still tasty. The sea bass was fresh and perfectly cooked, accompanied by delicious river potatoes. I didn't particularly enjoy the cheesecake; it didn't taste like cheese, and the biscuit was too buttery. The texture was perfect, but it lacked flavor. The brownie was the best I've ever had—exquisite. As constructive criticism, the wine glasses were cheap and low-quality. For the quality of the food and the ambiance, they leave much to be desired. They also don't have a very extensive selection, although the French wine I ordered was very good. The restaurant is located in a beautiful marina, with stunning views and ambient music that enhances the experience. Very happy and satisfied. Excellent value for money.

28/05/2026: I tried their steak and it was delicious, and the best thing about the restaurant was the staff's excellent manners and outstanding service.

20/05/2026: Rump and pizza were good. On a monday most of the few restaurants are closed. Book brick oven in time! We were lucky to roll in.

16/06/2026: Very disappointing dining experience at The Castle Inn! The food was just passable. The restaurant was cold, soulless and smelled of detergent. Staff lovely but we won't be back!

10/05/2026: Only food spot open past midnight in the area, staff were more than happy to serve 5 customers at 12:30, food was bang on, prices were objectively reasonable, couldn’t fault the quality it if I tried. Would definitely recommend as a late night bite.

02/05/2026: The business is family owned, and they are extremely kind and charming. I can't believe there are humans who go out of their way to be so kind to strangers. The food was delicious, seven euro for a kids meal and the portion was amazingly sized. The service was quick, they personally handed us menus, and the food made my eyes water. I have never had such a life altering dining experience. The atmosphere was welcoming and the menu was easy to understand. I will recommend this to everyone I ever meet for the rest of my life. I will write the phone number of this chipper on my tombstone. If mcdonalds is tenerafe, this business is elevenerife.

11/05/2026: I'm not a big fan of fast food, but recently needs must and I bought some food in Angelo's as they were recommended and it was an excellent recommendation, the chicken fillet burger meal was delicious, freshly cooked, yes you had to wait because they were busy but it was worth it. Delicious food and very reasonably priced.

17/02/2026: Took our daughter there for a 21st birthday treat. Our 2nd visit but first overnight stay. She has additional needs and was made to feel like a princess. Had scones and coffee/tea in the afternoon, while we waited for the rest of our party. Pre dinner drinks by the fire. We had a very good meal and returned to the bar area where we sat and drank until bedtime. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. I had the full irish, daughter had pancakes with lots of fruit and honey. I also had melon and was too stuffed for breakfast scones. Our daughter was able to get upstairs with help but had to come down on her bottom, so if you can't manage stairs be aware. Overall, a very good experience, one we enjoyed immensely.

19/10/2025: Today I was here by accident because I wanted to eat something but I'm really shocked. I ate well and it was tasty and healthy. I love Polish and Hungarian cuisine The Lady working there was very nice, very kind, we had a great conversation, I really recommend going there, you will be greeted with a smile and a kind word, I recommend it

27/10/2025: I’m really disappointed with how my cousin and I were treated at this pub. My cousin is autistic, and instead of showing any understanding or patience, the staff were rude and dismissive toward her. We were made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, which completely ruined what was meant to be a nice night out… Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness — especially those who might experience the world differently. I’d really hope the management takes this seriously and provides proper training to their bouncers especially on how to treat all customers with understanding and empathy. We definitely won’t be returning until we know that’s changed. Literally pushing my autistic cousin out at the end of the night which nearly made her fall down the stairs of this pub!

16/06/2026: People crowd in front of the main match schedule board, and there aren't enough places to sit and wait. How about finding a spot and installing other smaller boards?

11/06/2026: Found access to trains easy.....long walk though for Galway train...should visit Swis train stations...not enough tracks side by side...

31/05/2026: Breakfast wasn’t great at all. Took 30 min to be served luke warm/ cold food. Asked for some sugar and was told they don’t have sugar?
