18/04/2025: We have always enjoyed our breakfast at Bakestone. We’ve been happy and satisfied customers here for many years. However, today was different. Dreadful and upsetting experience here this morning. Went to Bakestone, as we have done for a long time, to meet friends for breakfast. We arrived ahead of our friends and ordered coffee from the server while we waited for our friends. We told the server that we would order our food once they had arrived. At this point in time another member of staff, who was manning the till, arrived and advised the staff member that there were clearing tables. We were asked to go ahead and order our coffee. This we did. At the till, an extremely rude and somewhat aggressive member of staff demanded that we return to the order area as we didn’t have a table number. We politely informed her that we were asked to go to the till by the other member of staff. She became very animated and very sharp with us. Her tone with us was totally unacceptable. She mentioned something about a leaking roof and she didn’t have any tables. We responded that we were asked to go and order our coffee at the till. The person on the till continued to be rude and very confrontational with us. We asked the initial server if we could speak with a manager. We were advised that the person on the till was the manager. We were then told we could sit outside with our coffee. We make the decision to have our coffee outside as advised and wait for our friends. We decided not to order any food and when our friends arrive advised them not to order food. We would go elsewhere for breakfast. Dreadful customer service and could not recommend this establishment. I can see from the reviews that there is a pattern of poor reviews here.

20/03/2025: Bakerstone Café is absolutely delightful! The Eggs Benedict with spinach sandwich is scrumptious—flavorful and satisfying. The apple pie and cheesecake are both incredibly yummy and make for the perfect sweet treat. The staff is friendly and always serving with a smile, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, including the restrooms. It’s a lovely spot for a delicious meal and a pleasant experience all around!

28/03/2025: Ķeyed in order & paid by card. Food was delivered quickly to our table. The chicken breast burger is lovely & tasty. My friend had the 7 oz beef burger...he said it was o.k. but has had nicer. The Bewleys coffee was lovely....I had to go search for milk which was in a silver thermos jug. You can walk through the place to a supermarket if you need groceries...milk, bread etc. They even have hats, scarves & braclets!.

08/03/2025: Our family ate here a few times now and have not been disappointed. Very friendly staff, the pizzas are amazing, one of the best in town....definitely recommend.....

10/04/2025: Life-changing! I suffered for years from very debilitating mouth ulcers - tried everything but without success. Finn recommended Vitamin B1. I was a bit skeptical but tried it. Complete transformatin. I thought it might be a blip but six months later - it's still holding. It's transformed my life and I'm incredibly grateful. I'm a firm believer in science as well as nutrition and I think the Hopsack and Finn has a good balance of both. Finn was lovely to deal with and really knows his stuff. I am very grateful and can't recommend The Hopsack enough. Sinéad

09/04/2025: Ordered Acai online, arrived very quickly and notification of dispatch & arrival ensured was able to get it into freezer pretty quick. The acai is absolutely delicious - we are addicted!

30/03/2025: I love this place, I always come here before going home, but is getting bad, the glass of wine is 8,50 but it is a small glass of wine, I work in temple bar and the glass of wine is 7,50.... and they are closing too early, sometimes 23:00 is the last order! I Still love this place but they have to improve, staff is changing every month! Owner, pay attencion

02/04/2025: I visited Lockandbrew for a breakfast at the weekend with friends. The staff are friendly, we didn't have to wait for a table. The place was spotless, including the toilets. I asked for a 5 egg omelette made of 2 whole and 3 egg whites with spinach, onion, and peppers and it was no problem at all. I recommend eating here if you are training and want to eat out as a treat and still be on plan. I will definitely return.

17/04/2025: I visited JoJo's of Manor Rd today with Ivan, my super friendly Border Collie. Such a lovely welcoming atmosphere here. Joanne and her staff make dining there a real pleasure. The friendliness and beautifully presented food was second to none. Ivan was treated like a prince with pieces of chicken and water. Ivan and I will be making JoJo's our togo place for food and coffee whenever we are in Dublin. Tony

13/04/2025: If you're in Palmerstown, and you haven't heard of Jojos we'll your missing a smashing atmosphere, smashing food , smashing staff, there's massive Empathy here,, and I love that , if I could get to it more , I certainly would, honestly, its got everything, a cafe could ask for Palmerstown needed Jojos Badly, it's the life Hub of community there, Jojo and the staff are just lovely and fully if empathy and care and good cheer,,

21/02/2025: We stopped in here for a spot of dinner and really enjoyed the very traditional atmosphere. The bar man and server were lovely, friendly and so helpful. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the second night for dinner as well. The food was lovely, freshly cooked and the dessert were sweet and tasty. There was a lovely log fire burning in the background and we’re definitely recommend here for dinner.

16/02/2025: Pretty close to Letterkenny town. People are nice and friendly. Food is awesome. The meat is so fresh.
