The best restaurants

09/05/2025: Double check re allergies as the vegetarian dishes may have crustaceans in them. The girl serving changed my order promptly.

08/05/2025: Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. Everything was overcooked and not warm enough when arrived. Our expectations were high, very surprised with what we got.

17/10/2025: Great lunch spot - the waiter/front of house guy is one of the best I’ve ever met !! Always courteous , professional, great service , always perfectly attentive. Have been a few times and always come back because he’s so good ! Thank you

12/10/2025: We were lucky enough that there was only another pair of couple in the restaurant when we visited. The waiter was so kind, so friendly and he offered us explanations of some menu options and helped us to order a nice selection of dinner. The salmon maki was so fresh, so tasty that we finished the dishes in 5 mins. The main was Sukiyaki, we ordered with a regular beef (Irish beef) this time, but the moment I had the first bite, I realized I should have gone with wagyu. Sukiyaki goes well with soft fatty tissues of beef that melt in your tongue. Irish beef is generally lean, making it hard and chewy that creates a major difference in overall experience. It was our mistake as the waiter was suggesting the wagyu, next time we definitely try with wagyu! We had an amazing time with food, service and atmosphere. We will definitely go back again soon!

03/10/2025: No pictures to show but we were impressed with the size, variety, and friendliness of the workers. Being Canadian, I was amazed and happy to see the cashier's comfortable at the tills. They had chairs to sit on, and the progressiveness of them not having to count cash, I think it's two options that Canadian food stores should adopt. And even talking to the cashier's, they were happy with their jobs. Highly recommended.

28/09/2025: The supervalu is a convenient and well organized shopping destination, offering a wide range of products from fresh produce, dairy, and meats to household essentials and packaged goods. Aisles are clearly labeled, making it easy to navigate, and the store is generally clean and well lit. Staff are helpful at checkout and customer service areas, ensuring a smooth shopping experience. Many locations also feature in-store bakeries, delis, or cafes, adding extra convenience. With competitive pricing, loyalty programs, and occasional promotions, the supermarket is ideal for both routine grocery shopping and one-stop errands.

25/09/2025: This is my favourite venue for lunch, lovely atmosphere with very friendly staff. The menu is varied and my usual choice is the fantastic steak sandwich which is very tasty and always cooked to perfection. I would heartily recommend this Bar/Restaurant open from Wednesday to Sunday. The evening menu is equally varied and great quality.

19/09/2025: Great burgers, big petrol station with a lot of food and snack options and also a Krispy Kreme point of sale for donuts. Toilets are also very clean every time we visited.

09/09/2025: We had the best day at our Day 2 Upstairs in Bistro. The food was ideal, everyone loved it. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The space Upstairs in Bistro is exclusive and it was perfect for our celebrations where we could have music and our own bar. Cannot recommend it enough. Thanks to Gillian and all the team for looking after us all so well 😊

21/08/2025: My new favourite restaurant in Sligo. Central location, great vibe, lovely staff, excellent food and wine. I recommend their signature dish. Absolutely delicious! Parking is a bit tricky, especially in the evening when most of the big car parks are closed. On street parking is free after 7.

08/10/2025: I really liked the place and the food. We got our order to go. We had two burgers — one was the biggest one, and the other was the Hawaiian. We also got some potato chips. Everything was very tasty, filling, and fresh. The service was lovely. The staff were very nice. We’ll definitely come back.

21/07/2025: I ordered a burger and a soft drink and decided to sit in. They threw more than afew free chips which is a lovely touch and will make me come back. The chips are thick and almost have the consistency of double fried chips. Easily the best chipper chips in Dublin. They have a crunch on the outside and are super soft and fluffy inside. The burger had fresh ingredients, plenty moist with sauces, onion and cheese.

03/08/2025: Brilliant camper stop over €10 honesty box with fresh eggs & croissants delivered to your van in the morning. On top of this great traditional music, craic & Guinness beside the parking but far enough away for a quiet night.

09/09/2025: Me and my friend went on a very busy Sunday where the community games were on and also Matches in Carlow. Service was seamless and so prompt despite the crowds. Staff were really playing a blinder serving huge numbers without a wait. Great supermacs. 🍟🍟⭐️
