27/09/2026: Always a lovely meal - breakfast, lunch or dinner. Staff are always attentive and kind. Great quality food

01/09/2026: They need to work hard on keeping the food consistent. One dinner chicken sent back because it was red in the middle, they brought the same chicken back burnt!

30/08/2026: Got the lamb doner kebab lrd dish, not the meal. Doesn't come with rice, heads up. The meal size does and with a drink. If you don't eat large portions, this is a good size meal, the bigger size is good for sharing for 2. I did not find it spicy, for those sensitive to the heat. Perfectly seasoned. Would recommend.

29/08/2026: We reluctantly ended up here for dinner with our group of 5 since we couldn't decide on a place and restaurants were getting close to closing, but we were glad we did. All of our dishes (mussels, pizza, carbonara, salmon fettucine, and Guinness stew) were excellent. In fact, I wanted a Guinness stew, but based on one very sad looking picture someone posted of it, I passed. Fortunately, one of my friends got it and it was delicious and much more colorful than the photo, so we decided to write this review to post a better photo.

20/07/2026: An excellent casual lunch spot with a relaxed atmosphere, and far better than you might expect from a museum café. We visited while exploring the Chester Beatty and found it to be one of the pleasant surprises of our time in Dublin. The menu offers a tempting range of Middle Eastern-inspired dishes, with plenty of fresh, vibrant flavours. Everything we ordered was well prepared and satisfying, showing that this is much more than a convenient place to grab a quick bite. There is also an impressive selection of cakes and sweet treats, making it an ideal place to linger over coffee after lunch. The café has a bright, welcoming feel and provides a welcome break from sightseeing. Whether you’re stopping in before or after visiting the museum, it’s a relaxing place to unwind without feeling rushed. The staff were friendly and efficient, helping create a warm and enjoyable experience from the moment we arrived. Service was prompt, and the whole venue felt well organised despite being quite popular. Even if you have no particular interest in visiting the Chester Beatty, this café is worth seeking out for the food alone. It’s an excellent example of how a museum café can exceed expectations, offering fresh, flavourful food in a comfortable setting. I’d happily return on a future visit to Dublin, both for another meal and to sample more of the delicious cakes.

28/06/2026: Not immediately obvious to passers-by this cosy cafe with calm and laidback atmosphere sits in a bright atrium-style space inside the Chester Beatty Gallery building. It serves Middle Eastern and Mediterranean-inspired food, including Palestinian moussaka, Moroccan tagine, various salads, and daily specials, along with something sweet like homemade cakes & baklava. Vegan and gluten-free options are available. Our choice: Meat moussaka and chicken with rice Check for two (only mains, tap water provided): 33 EUR Overall verdict: 8/10 — a good option for a quick, healthy, and hearty lunch, but not somewhere I would go specifically go unless I was already visiting the museum. And definitely a must do after visiting the Chester Beatty exhibitions.

28/08/2026: I ordered the mixed grill for takeaway. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was quite busy, which was a positive. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food. The lamb was very under-seasoned and there were only three small pieces of lamb on the skewer, spread quite far apart, which made the portion feel particularly small for the price.The sausage was also very dry and lacked flavour. For what you pay, I expected a more generous portion and better seasoning overall. It wasn’t a terrible meal, but considering the price, I don’t feel it offered particularly good value for money. The friendly staff was a definite positive, though.

16/09/2026: Nice cafe with even nicer staff who are always welcoming and contribute to a great atmosphere in the cafe. The coffee is good and the lead barista is very knowledgeable about coffee. Front of house staff are always awesome and very nice. Just need that full irish to make a 4 star into a 5 star :)

01/09/2026: Had 3 breakfast burritos & 1 eggs benedict. Sourdough bread very hard & no ham (which was ok, had bacon). Burritos ok, not amazing.

20/08/2026: To celebrate my mother’s birthday, my whole family and I dined at this Japanese restaurant. The sushi here is incredibly soft and delicious, made with generous fillings and outstanding flavours. Their signature ramen boasts rich, savoury broth, and the portion of noodles and toppings is extremely large, leaving us fully satisfied after the meal. The staff are polite, warm and attentive throughout our visit. All ingredients are freshly prepared daily, making every bite safe and delightful. Considering its great food, thoughtful service and good value for money, this Japanese eatery has become my absolute favourite restaurant of all time.

13/08/2026: Staff were excellent and professional, and extremely welcoming to boot. One of the most extensive Sushi menus in the midlands, and it's not half bad. My only complaint is that, while tasty, the Takoyaki is a very very small size and is probably made from frozen. However, that aside, I can recommend this place very highly to sushi enjoyers.

12/09/2026: We loved Chaplin’s, and Connor was the BEST!!! We asked him where we should get dinner and he wrote a whole itinerary for our Dublin vacation with recommendations for restaurants, pubs, and sights. What a pleasant surprise! Also, a very good Guinness pour.

01/06/2026: A quiet early evening with friends. We weren’t big spenders but the staff treated us like stars. So very courteous professional and helpful. I recommend the Toastie. Fresh crunchy Batch bread with good ham and cheese inside. The strong mustard sachet gave an added zing to a proper tasty meal.

06/05/2026: Went back in after years and the place is still one of the best little cafes around. The owner is the most lovely person ever, she looks after everyone and the lasagna was 10/10
