27/06/2025: I fell in love; here you can truly breathe in the air of the Irish countryside. A pearl immersed in greenery, surrounded by horses, cows, and sheep. A peaceful place, meticulously cared for down to the smallest details. The owner was truly kind and friendly, and was keen to recommend the best tours to explore the area and recommended excellent restaurants serving traditional cuisine. If you're staying in the area, you definitely won't regret staying at Mountain View.

03/08/2025: Brilliant camper stop over €10 honesty box with fresh eggs & croissants delivered to your van in the morning. On top of this great traditional music, craic & Guinness beside the parking but far enough away for a quiet night.

02/11/2025: I received an email the day before our arrival saying check in from 2 pm. When we arrived at 2.30 the place was shut. I had to ring and got a chef/cook to open the side door. When entering the hotel the man asked my name and said oh yea you are in room —- he showed us where it was and that was our check in 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ the hotel is about 20 km from the nearest town. When we went back that evening to have a drink in bar that’s when we were told what time breakfast was at 8.45-9.30. The staff were all lovely and very accommodating but I just didn’t expect the hotel to be as far out of the way from everything. The breakfast was lovely but didn’t get a choice was asked did we want full breakfast and that’s what we got. This hotel would suit walkers or bikers but not really a family holiday. We had booked in for two nights but only stayed one!

06/11/2025: Absolutely outstanding! Paradise Indian Restaurant in Ballybofey truly lives up to its name. The food is bursting with authentic flavours — every dish tastes freshly prepared and perfectly spiced. 🍛 The staff are warm, attentive, and always make you feel welcome. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for both a casual meal or a special night out.

05/11/2025: Sandwiches and coffees were good. All food and drink has to be ordered up at the till but plates etc aren't cleared when finished with. Cafe was a bit cold. Staff are friendly.

13/03/2026: This place is an absolute jewel in Dublin! If you appreciate a genuinely well-crafted drink in a beautiful setting, this is the spot. The atmosphere is incredible. It has a gorgeous Art Deco vibe that makes you feel like you've just stepped into a glamorous 1930s jazz bar. The cocktails are professionally made with real care and top-tier ingredients. The menu is fantastic, but the welcoming staff are more than happy to go off-menu and mix up whatever you're in the mood for, always taking the time to happily answer any questions about the drinks. While the everyday food menu is a bit limited, it perfectly suits the style of the bar. I highly recommend the charcuterie board, as it offers a wonderful balance of high-quality Spanish and Italian cured meats and cheeses with surprisingly generous portion sizes. I also had dinner here for New Year's Eve and the experience was excellent. They put together a special menu for the night, and the food was absolutely delicious. The best part is the connection to the Stella Cinema, a truly classy and vintage theater. I recommend this place for grabbing drinks with friends before a screening or catching up after a movie. A brilliant, five-star experience all around!

21/02/2026: Have to say that the food here was a huge disappointment. The trio of bread, olives, and almonds was an actual joke - 5 small olives, bland stale nuts, and bread that I physically couldn't tear or cut. The only decent thing we had was the arancini. Service was also poor - there were about 6 staff there around the bar but only 1-2 people actually working. The manager seemed totally fine with the fact that most of them were just standing around sampling a cocktail. They took our order without writing it down, came back to confirm it again, and we were still served the wrong thing. Puzzling how they manage to take 20 mins to serve a glass of whiskey with only about 4 tables occupied.

21/12/2025: One of my favourite pubs in the city! The beer garden is huge and such a vibe during the summer. Wide selection of drink. The (I think) Australian bouncer is so lovely and funny!!

08/12/2025: Our little troupe of geriatric walkers booked our Christmas night out in "Deep South" and from the first contact to the last we were met with outstanding hospitality and real appreciation for the custom. As the organiser, I have to give a special mention to Alannah who was absolutely superb and for whom no detail was too small, even though we were only a group of 13 and there were some big company nights on as well. We were also asked if anyone had any special dietary requirements. As a party venue I would highly recommend "Deep South" and, whoever is organising next year's gig, I imagine there will be no complaints if we return for the next instalment.

25/01/2026: My daughter & I had a lovely one night stay, warm welcome when we arrived, the hotel itself is so cosy and all the staff were so friendly...our room was actually two connected rooms, one with a double bed and one single; the beds were so comfortable, the room & ensuite were so clean and so tastefully decorated. Food for dinner and breakfast the next day was delicious with generous servings. We will definitely be returning...soon hopefully.

27/12/2025: My partner is new to kilkee and said the following. Perfect spot to stay, great food in the bar or restaurant reasonably priced at the top of main street, we think most of the staff are family already trying to get another weekend in August 2026. We stayed there 2 weeks ago for the first time but definitely not the last. Highly recommend it
