11/09/2025: Very pretty garden centre with a nice cafe enclosed. Lovely coffee.

04/08/2025: Drove a long way to find them closed, rang before I left and their voice mail stated they where open 7days a week < they are not, they close on bank holiday Mondays!!!

08/08/2025: Food was horrendous and expensive 17:50 for a collection for one. Dry chips, cheap small cheap sausages, lumpy microwave curry sauce.

27/10/2025: Unpleasant experience. We waited at the bar for around 20 minutes without being acknowledged. Despite approaching staff several times to ask about getting a table, we continued to be ignored. Unfortunately, we decided to leave.

28/09/2025: The food here was genuinely outstanding... chicken curry with half chips & rice - as good as anywhere Ive eaten. Superb / friendly service also.

07/02/2026: We had a fantastic meal in Pavarotti’s. Highly recommend it. The bruschetta, seafood salad, pizza frutti de mare and cannelloni all delicious. Brilliant atmosphere and the staff were so friendly. A point to note you can bring your own wine with a €4 corkage.

16/10/2025: It might have been the time of day but I am 53 and I felt like the youngest person there by far. It is a nice pub and I will return. The Guinness was good and the food was good. A worthwhile stop. The bartender and the chef were very friendly and welcoming.

01/05/2026: Beautiful hotel, attended a wedding here. The bedroom had lovely decor, a queen sized bed and was spotless. The wedding seemed to run very smoothly, small gaps between courses to allow digestion and no tables appeared to have to wait long time. There were only 2 bar staff so the service there could be slow enough at times, especially as the promoted the cocktail list which obviously takes longer to prepare. Few niggles were when serving the toast wine, our table was only offered white and when the bottle ran out they didn't come back to us so some of us didn't actually have a drink for the toasts. Also, the same nearly happened with the tea! The girl moved to another table before checking she had offered everyone at our table. Just staff being either inexperienced or not fully engaged which isn't really good enough when you consider how much is paid by the bride and groom. The food was good and well portioned. The separate reception area for the welcome reception is a major plus for anyone who is looking a wedding venue

Every member of staff is so friendly and welcoming, which makes such a difference. The food is always fresh, great quality, and tastes fantastic every time. You can really tell they care about what they serve. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and delicious takeaway!

01/04/2026: We tried a selection of things here this week and I felt the price was quite high for what we got - we could let that go if we felt the food was to standard, but it was t really, the main thing bringing it down was SALT , one mouthful had what felt like a salt spill in it, it was just a big dollop of raw salt that had fallen in somewhere after the cooking process..from here on I felt every dish was heavily salted, one dish was a 3 in one and it was not filled up to the top and was really quite measly, not liking the curry sauce either., we got veg Samosa also and the ‘sauce’ in them tasted like salty gravy, couldn’t eat them, .veg springs rolls ok but maybe a bit too doughy, We won’t be going back any time soon, we’ve eaten here maybe 1 year ago and it was better, tell whoever thinks using a lot of salt is good that it’s not please, flavour is better, kitchen needs tightening up.

31/05/2026: I had the chicken and mushroom tagliatelle and my partner had the chicken tenders. The food was beautiful and the staff were great. Very friendly with great food I wholeheartedly recommend Clancy's

01/05/2026: Four of us arrived for lunch. Ordered our food. It took at least 30 minutes to arrive, it wasn’t busy at all. That’s ok. The food was decent. We ordered half rice / half chips with the curries. We were charged charged us €5.45 per small bowl of chips. That’s an extra €16.35 for what should have been half and half. These bowls were also quite small - I’d call that saucy. Then proceeded to charge us €1.20 per dash of miwadi. I never left a negative review before now. This one fully deserved it. I’d call this daylight robbery. Won’t be back.

03/06/2026: Overall, the hotel is nice. However , the location isn’t ideal if you want to be within walking distance of anything fun or cool. It’s on a golf course so it’s very relaxing , but boring. As far as the rooms, super outdated and inconsistent. We booked two rooms, one of them came with water and all the towels you would need. The other room didn’t have any water , and only two towels were provided. If you have to stay here in a pinch it’s okay, but I wouldn’t book here again. Not horrible, just not my favorite.

01/06/2026: We booked a last minute stay directly through the website as it looked on the surface to be excellent value; family of 4 for one night, bank holiday weekend, with breakfast for under €150, and access to the pool, which was our must have for visiting with 2 kids who love a pool. Lobby area is stunning, wide open and beautiful chandelier. We had a bit of a wander around and found that the ballroom area also was beautiful. It does feel more like a golf course with a hotel. We ate dinner in the bar with the kids; service was slow as it was very full with what seemed like both locals and hotel guests (positive sign) but not enough staff, but we got there in the end, and it seemed decently priced as well, which is good because the restaurant part did seem a bit excessively priced, and without the bar menu option, we absolutely would have eaten elsewhere. Breakfast the next morning was also good; not a massive selection, the usual fry up, 3 cereals, toast and pastries, but all good. The coffee was not good though, that needs addressing, as it was clearly granule coffee, and definitely too many granules, more like tar. A couple of things werent perfect with the fry up - fried eggs were all overdone, tomatoes a bit underdone, but overall it was good and filled a hole. The bread selection and sausages and bacon in particular were lovely. The pool in very convenient, all within the hotel itself, with changing rooms, showers, large pool, kids pool area, jacuzzi, all in good/great condition, and id go so far as to say the sauna is in excellent condition. The steam room was definitely struggling with the steam element, but it was ok. Kids had a blast. The room itself - this is why its so cheap. We stayed in room 106. Despite all the positives, the food, the pool, the lobby area, the room is a let down. The rooms are old and tired, and need updating. The carpet is musty, the windows old and a bit moldy, and the beds a bit lumpy. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. The bathroom is very tired; mold between tiles, stains in the tub, leak at the toilet. The biggest issue was two silverfish in the bathroom which to find was a big surprise, pointing to that there are probably a lot more. Must be living under the tub. I know how terrible these are to get rid off, but it has to be prioritised. No doubt they will, and I did immediately let the receptionist know, and she was going to get someone to attend to it immediately, but the kids were asleep so said leave it till tomorrow when we check out. The room wasnt clean. Found things under the desk and around the perimeter. I know its always rush rush rush to turn a hotel room around, but more care needs to be had with the rooms. Pics attached of the dirt/dead bug. So a mixed bag; good food, nice lobby, decent location, and Ive stayed in much worse, but to move it back to that next level, it needs a refurbishment of the rooms as soon as possible. The kids were happy and didnt know any better, and we made some great memories, but my experience is 'its fine' rather than 'definitely stay here'.

02/12/2025: We took some takeaway from here a year ago. Since then, every time when we think “If you could have anything to eat, what would it be?” 10/10 times it’d be the chicken tenders from this place. Thank you for changing our life 🙏🏼

27/09/2025: Quick bite on walk back to accommodation. While waiting for my food, spotted some of the food that was coming out of the kitchen, looks top and tasty. One of the nicest fish and chips I've had in a long time. Nice meaty bit of fish in a light crispy batter. Chips skin on and crispy with tartar sauce. Polished away!

21/03/2026: Everytime I pass through Granard I stop here for my dinner. Amazing locally sourced ingredients, very generous portions, staff are always friendly & welcoming & food is never a let down, very reasonable priced to.
