The best restaurants

02/06/2026: Awful experience. Went with my daughter for her first visit to an Ivy which she was so excited about but turned out to be the most embarrassing and awful experience due to extremely poor customer service. I have since written a formal complaint with absolutely no acknowledgement or response from customer relations. I would not recommend this restaurant and would go so far as to now not recommending any Ivy as if you have a genuine reason to complain you are not only publicly humiliated they choose to totally ignore which is totally shocking for a high end chain

01/06/2026: The Ivy is usually a good bet for consistency, but the Dublin branch was disappointing. Service was slow and although my meal was good, my husband’s was very poor. Even the choices of dessert was limited and the Tiramisu was mediocre .

12/08/2026: Their buffalo chicken burger and the buffalo chicken tenders are the best I've ever had. We've been hooked on them for the last few years. The staff are extremely nice and the service is quick.

29/07/2026: Very disappointing, waiting 30mins for a nacho dog and chips, the chilli on the nacho dog was freezing cold :( the cheese not melted only thing hot was the sausage as the bun was also freezing cold, then 2.50€ for a warm can of coke is also disappointing. I definitely won't be back

28/06/2026: Severe security failure – Intoxicated intruder entered our room at 3AM ​​Our family stay at the Amber Springs Hotel was marred by a serious security incident that has left us deeply concerned about the hotel’s safety standards. ​At 3AM, an intoxicated individual walked directly into our room while we were sleeping. To wake up and find a drunk stranger inside our room, while traveling with a young child, was a terrifying experience and our feeling of vulnerability was absolute. ​The issue stemmed from the room’s heavy fire door, which failed to automatically close and latch as it is designed to do. This is a clear maintenance and safety failure. ​What followed in the morning was just as disappointing as the incident itself. There was a complete absence of leadership; no member of management reached out to check on us or acknowledge the gravity of the situation. Instead, we were forced to repeatedly approach the front desk to demand a resolution and an explanation, having to chase the staff for any form of assistance or information. ​When we finally engaged with management, the response was shockingly dismissive. Instead of addressing the maintenance failure or the unacceptable safety breach involving an intoxicated intruder, the hotel insisted that we were at fault for "not closing the door." Suggesting that a family would deliberately leave their room door ajar in the middle of the night—especially when the door is a heavy, self-closing fire door—is an insulting deflection of responsibility. ​For a hotel that markets itself as a family-friendly destination, the dismissal of such a fundamental security breach and the total lack of proactive management care is completely unacceptable. ​If you are a parent choosing a hotel, please consider that safety and accountability should be the top priority. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I would strongly advise other families to look elsewhere.

07/05/2026: It was 3 years ago when I stuck on the motorway for 3 days (Bank Holiday).For a reason. I visited Brennan's and it was an unforgettable night for me. Great atmosphere and staff. I was given lift back to J 14. Thank you!!! Special greetings to Eddie ,Alan and super special greetings for Alan's Father. Will be back. Dariusz (the Polish truck driver ).

21/07/2026: Very nice central hotel with a great bar and comfortable beds, staff were helpful and friendly and overall had a nice stay, i gave only 4 stars because of the parking situation which is a nightmare , the spaces in the public carpark are very tight and it is always packed also with the one way systems in place it was a disaster trying to find the way onto the m9 for dublin.

13/05/2026: The location is great. Hotel lobby is nice but the rooms aren’t great. I was put into a room where the hot water wasn’t working and the shower head was too short as the room was for wheelchair access. When I mentioned the water issue in the morning I was advised the manager was aware and should be fixed now - not really helpful when checking out. I come regularly for work and do not think I’d stay here again.

08/09/2026: Their food is delicious the service is above and beyond and I can't fault them for anything. They're amazing 👏 🤩

24/07/2026: Didn't like the cajun wrap at all, it was really sloppy inside with far too much overpowering relish, and a wad of thinly sliced "cajun chicken" (the tasteless cheap type you can buy in a packet from a supermarket). I'd like to see some 'proper' chicken, more home cooked items and some tuna/mayo/sweetcorn. Service quite slow. Glasses for water on table but no water. The waitress did place a bottle of water on the other tables, but not ours. They should expand and/or vary their menu as it's quite limited. Clearly not my favourite place to eat... and yes, I will go somewhere else.

06/07/2026: Why is vaping allowed in the bar? Most times when I visit there is a man sitting at the bar vaping in front of the bar staff. It should be banned like in most other pubs. I tried to ring the pub to ask but gave up at the phone is never answered.

21/06/2026: Had 2 rounds and cost about €7 per person i would sit inside though the outside chairs arnt verry comfortable

04/09/2026: Brilliant stop right out at Mizen Head! Called in while touring on the motorbikes and the food hit the spot perfectly—lovely, hearty, and hot. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and unbeatable views around the headland. Well worth dropping into!

27/06/2026: Why is the manager so angry??? Honestly the vibe I got was 100% violent. Wouldn’t want to cross her and WON’T be coming back in the future because of her. Scary 5/5. Vibes 0/5

14/06/2026: Great little spot close to where we were staying. Coffee very good, pastries are large and good value. Staff prompt and friendly. We sat on the terrace out back. Owners need to look at the balustrade at the top of the stairs. It’s in a dangerous condition so wouldn’t support someone’s weight if they didn’t notice it and leant into it.

01/08/2026: Good place with nice sandwiches, nice staff. Small and cozy in the middle of small village. All good here.

18/04/2026: Always a pleasure dealing with Paul, Lynda and all of the staff at Botanics. They always go above and beyond. The plants are excellent quality and I have gotten great help and advice on how to keep them alive, considering I was a plant killer in the past.
