The best restaurants

14/02/2026: We had an amazing dinner on Valentine’s Day. The restaurant was beautifully prepared and decorated for the occasion, creating a lovely and romantic atmosphere. The service was excellent — attentive and professional — and the food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming place in Athlone town centre. We’ll definitely be back!

05/01/2026: The worst place ever to eat , the food was not hot and well cook and the staff is not friendly as well , we ordered delivery food is very cold and chips and soft drinks is missing and i call them the owner has no manners and tell us dont ever order or come to our restaurant , the worst ever restaurant we had the food

27/12/2025: I've been here before and it is okay - however they aren't open the hours on the door or online, and do not answer the phone, so our most recent trip was a waste of time.

20/11/2025: Favourite take out in the town but they have a habit of forgetting things in deliveries. Not always…. But occassouand sometime they take the phone off the hook when they are busy so if you ordered online and get the wrong stuff you have to drive up to get it fixed

22/04/2025: Good chips, great curry, beef and chicken burgers overcooked, saturated with sauce to try cover how dry they were. Will give them another go🤷🏻‍♂️

29/07/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely blown away! We stopped in at Ultimate Coffee for a quick coffee and were completely amazed. We were just handed one of the most delicious coffees we’ve ever tasted—beautifully crafted by Carlton, a truly wonderful barista. The coffee tastes every bit as good as it looks. Friendly service, great atmosphere, and outstanding quality. We’ll definitely be back!

10/03/2026: Dolce & Salato are live savers. We had a previous caterer cancel less than 12 hours notice before an office event and Dolce & Salato saved the day. Daniel was excellent over the phone, organised sweet and savory, pastries freshly baked. Cannot thank the team enough.

05/09/2025: Been ordering delivery from here for awhile and it's been great - burgers have been delicious, onion rings super crispy and moreish. Great portions. However, the fries are bad - they're lukewarm, not crispy, dry, and tough. Tastes and feel stale. Might just start leaving them out in future orders.

26/07/2025: I recently visited Backyard Diner in Leixlip, eager to satisfy a craving for a good beef burger. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations, proving that not every glittering thing is gold. The smash burger I ordered was quite disappointing. The bun was soggy, and the burger itself had a peculiar, off-putting smell with absolutely no discernible taste. It was a far cry from the flavorful beef burger I had hoped for. To accompany the burger, I ordered fries, but they were entirely dried out and frankly, inedible. This added to the overall frustration of the meal. In my opinion, this was a waste of money. Based on this experience, I will not be buying from Backyard Diner again.

19/10/2025: We visited this restaurant as a group of eight and were really looking forward to it after hearing and reading so many good reviews. The food itself was great — everything we ordered was tasty and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. From the moment we arrived, there was no friendly greeting, and throughout our visit, not one staff member smiled or made us feel welcome. Our orders were taken without any warmth, and no one came to check if everything was okay or if we wanted more drinks. The staff seemed grumpy and uninterested, which made the whole experience feel uncomfortable. It’s disappointing because the food was good, but the lack of customer service really brought down the experience. Sadly, I won’t be visiting again.

11/10/2025: We had a very pleasant meal here, one steak one fish. Service was lovely, efficient and timed well. We had a table with children next to us and contrary to other reviews the children were treated well. Would return

20/11/2025: Tainá and staff was very nice and very professional with us, and her smile and enthusiasm was great. We would love to go back with family and friends and have another cake.

16/11/2025: Continues to disappoint with the worst flat white. Been a loyal and constant customer of this place for about a year. While the pastries are lovely, and the staff is friendly, the flat whites I’ve been getting here became just terrible and not up to any standard. Not worth paying 4EUR for a coffee with milk that I can make myself at home. Cant give no more than one star and will look for another place.

28/10/2025: Great coffee stop with safe parking for bicycles, sitting indoor and outdoor, amazing selection of cakes and other sweets, great coffee. Very friendly and efficient staff👍

01/01/2026: The manager who attend your call is very rude and unprofessional. He needs to be addressed as soon as possible on how to handle a customer when a customer is upset on their missing orders and when they looking for a resolution on missing/delayed orders. If not they should be removed from their position irrespective of the matter whether they are manager or the franchise owners of this brand !!! The initial order when placed on Uber Eat's was promised to be delivered to me at or around 7:30 PM at my door step from Appache, Glasnevin as per Uber Eats app. When i called Glasnevin Appache around 7:50 PM whenI didn’t get my order or didn’t get any order update, I got a very rude response from Appache, Glasnevin that Appache Drumcondra is the only one responsible for fulfilling my order which is not true as per my my initial order promised. Both Appache manager’s were rude and unprofessional as well(even when they knew the orders swapped between shops purposely against the information published online). My question is…. If u can’t make it on time why do you promise it on internet???? The actual fulfilment of the order was finally made from Appache, Drumcondra which is very odd and was done only after 8:15 PM against the initial promised time of 7:30PM irrespective of the matter Mr. Pat mentioned as “internet can promise you many things” in his rude reply on my review to his shop. Mr. Pat your Pizza was really cold and very pathetic which ruined my New Year Celebration with my friends completely. Van u imagine how bad it was for all of us!!!! You can only boast about your Pizza quality in your dreams!!! It was really cold and dry!!! You can also see he don’t have a temperament to handle a genuine customer review as well. Imagine how he he must have been replied to me over the phone when i called him out of my desperation !!!! The food was really cold. The delivery driver also complained about this man’s attitude when asked to share my contact details to contact me to deliver the order without delay. His attitude caused a lot of delays. My another question is on why you guys show yourself as Appache Glasnevin and accept order in Appache Drumcondra of u already know you can’t deliver it from Appache, Glasnevin??? Guys this is not the first time this happens… Try make a booking in Glasnevin it will only delivered from Appache, Drumcondra after 1:30 hour after a lot of confusion and mental trauma like this. When i shared my experience lot of my friends also had similar experiences like this from Appache. It’s kind of fooling and confusing people and when order goes missing you mock people and say why don’t you make orders on our website instead of this stupid applications??? How could you make such arrogant statements?? I being a customer I have all the rights to be angry or upset because I didn’t get my order on time and was made fool by swapping the shops purposely for some unknown reason. The food was really cold and dry as well. I don’t how a pizza can be delicious when it is cold and so dry like the way i got it. You guys made my New Year eve so terribly bad and how could you be so terribly boastful??

18/10/2025: I came to have a cappuccino after a good walk at the park. Very friendly staff but in other hand, the coffee wasn't the best. The barista burned the milk while steamed it for more than enough time to create the foam. My cappuccino was so hot that burned my tongue.
