28/01/2026: Super friendly staff, food is good and prices are fair. Hidden gem in the Cork landscape

23/10/2025: Seems to be only a haven for racist and fascist ideologies. Walking down the street, I took off a sticker for an openly fascist political party on a pole near the cafe. Almost immediately, three men ran out from the cafe, dressed in clothes that indicated they worked there. They screamed at me, threatened me, and intimated that they had put up the sticker. I have no idea if the owner holds these views or is aware that at least three people working there do so, but it certainly casts doubt on the cafe’s name and reputation.

03/04/2026: Coffee is decent, visited Arch Coffee today on the 3 April, but unfortunately the outdoor area was heavy littered, which spoiled my Arch Coffee experience while sitting outside on their lovely benches and soaking up the sunshine.

03/06/2026: Delicious, fresh, tasty and the food is served piping hot...bog potions in the mains, huge menu selections and can adjust to your likes and dislikes...very friendly staff each time I've visited... Comfy seating and bonus star for the free icream you can have after your meal.

01/06/2026: Review: I ordered three dishes to go — two Pad Thai and one Singapore Noodles. The food itself was very tasty, with good flavor and generous portions. However, I was quite disappointed with the service regarding utensils. I specifically asked for chopsticks since three different people would be eating the meals. They only gave me two sets. When I politely asked for one additional set, they refused, even though I could see they had more chopsticks available. It felt strange and rather unhelpful, especially for a takeaway order. We had to improvise with the utensils, which was inconvenient. Overall, the food is good, but the small lack of courtesy left a sour impression. I hope they improve this aspect in the future.

08/05/2026: We were celebrating today. We choose Old House by an accident. I hope God gives me more accidents like that. Food? Absolutely divine. We had salmon and beef cheek. Salmon, was made to perfection well seasoned and lovely sides. Beef cheek was absolutely mouth watering. Delicious just delicious. For the dessert we had sticky toffee pudding(whoever loves sweet go for it blindly) and chocolate brownie both desserts served with ice cream on the side. Our waiter ( and I do apologise for not remembering the name- truly) was the most kind and cheery person. A true gem to the place. Well done. Will definitely come back and recommend. Good spot in Mullingar to eat, drink and relax! Ps. Unfortunately I only have the picture of the pudding as everything was so good it disappeared faster than I could snap a shot!

04/12/2025: Milk Issues!! Used to love going here for a coffee then a relaxing walk on the beach but not anymore. The number of times, usually after 12 on a Saturday or Sunday, there’s been a chalkboard sign on display saying ‘No Milk’ is becoming frustrating. I appreciate running a business is tough, managing the flow and ebb of customer demand, but I prefer my coffee with milk, not oat or soy alternatives. How can they seem to consistently run out of milk, regularly.You’d think that would be a low tide for a coffee shop. Love the people, the service and the coffee when I’m lucky enough to get one. Unfortunately, the ‘No Milk’ issue is leaving a sour taste in my mouth. Please sort it out and then I’ll be back.
