28/08/2024: Very nice and cozy place. Everything we tasted was delicious. We ordered the crab meat soup, and it was amazing. We also ordered Thai green curry, one with tofu and one with chicken, which was great. It's a perfect place for gluten-free and lactose-intolerant people like me.

05/10/2024: We stayed there one night. It is a prefabricated house close to the road (noise at night), however we recommend it for the proximity to Kilkenny, the included breakfast and the good treatment with the hostess. We had never been in a prefabricated house like this, very large, spacious living room with kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom.

17/01/2025: I must say I love visiting apple green on cork hill here in youghal were the staff are so nice especially Catherine aaron Rachel Victoria who are on tills . Then we can go down to the deli where where we have none other than the fabulous Fay who is the supvivor and also the amazing aisling corcron The manger is also sound .thank you so much to each of u for all been so helpful to me i really appreciate it .

17/01/2025: Super coffee. Couldn't really fault it to be honest. I only had a pastry, which was roughly the same as you would get in a myriad of other places. That isn't a criticism as such because I enjoyed it .

28/01/2025: The make and mark is normally my family's go to place for food. However we visited here on Sunday for my birthday dinner and the experience was sub-par. Each of us ordered a drink to start but the drinks did not arrive until after the food started to come out. The main courses did not all arrive together so we were all eating at different times. My father ordered the beef joint of the day but received Turkey - this then had to be corrected. 4 out of the 5 adults present had a dish that included chips. The chips were unfortunately dry, overcooked, and were more like small shards of potato. When is came to dessert the service unfortunately became really poor, and not the standard we have been accustomed to here. My father's ice cream sundae arrived first. About 5 minutes after that my mother's ice cream sundae arrived. Approximately another 5 minutes after that, two of the three apple pies were brought out. I would say a good 15 minutes after the first dessert was brought out, my partner finally received his apple pie. However he was missing the custard pot that was supposed to come with the dessert. By the time he received his dessert, the rest of us were finished or half finished our food. Usually the experience here is fantastic and we normally love the food, but this experience was very disappointing. The only shining star for the evening was the singer playing in the bar, as it encouraged my 11 month old daughter to dance. He was also very sweet and said goodbye to her as we left because she was enamoured with him.

31/01/2025: Beautiful setting due to the great design. Great lively atmosphere. Mediocre food. The cold Aranciata beggged us not to call it Italian. The Mexican entre salad had stale tortilla chips and an inedible unripe avocado. The chicken on it was dry, tough and over seasoned. That chicken piece did not remember the time when it was raw. The plate of side chips came limp and soggy as if they were dredged from the bottom of the sea (see pic). The creamy seafood chowder was luke warm and not creamy at all. I considered calling the guards. It really should be an offense in Ireland to make a uncreamy seafood chowder with barely any seafood. How can you fail at this on an island that produces the best dairy in the world? When the waiter, who never smiled, never said a kind word and never acknowledged our thank yous brought in the course before the drinks I was a bit surprised and said oh, before the drinks. He said coldly: we are fast. In retrospect that should’ve been a harbinger of things to come. Speed is probably their only KPI. Again. Great ambiance. Go for the meh cocktails and the background cocophony of the drunken knowledge workers on the patio. But if you are keen to waste your hard earned money. Don’t order the food. I’ll send you my Revolut details. PS we were there at 8pm.

14/02/2025: Were there for the first time and found it very good. The kids had a lot of fun and space to run around. The food prices are okay too. Only one heater was off and therefore a bit cool in parts. Will definitely come back.

01/02/2025: I would actually give zero stars if I could, I had my sons 2nd birthday party here last week, the list of issues was endless, when we arrived there was two random kids names signed in for the party, I immediately told a member of staff I don’t know those kids and the guy scribbled out two of the the names ( one more scribbled than the other) and I thought that was sorted, after the party we realised we where charged for the two kids I didn’t know even though I brought it to their attention straight away, We had to ask 8/9 times to get drinks for the kids at the party ( the only time the kids got a drink was when the food arrived, we where advised the kids would have unlimited drinks but to have to chase them for just one drink is ridiculous). When we arrived the guy took our birthday cake into a back room, we asked for the cake 6/7 times before it was brought out to us. The place was absolutely jam packed and it was clear there wasn’t enough staff for the amount of kids there. I definitely wouldn’t recommend, clearly they just want to get as many people as possible in so they get as much money as possible, the experience clearly doesn’t matter to them, when I emailed about being over charged I was told only one name was crossed of so I would have to pay for that other child I don’t know. Absolutely ridiculous. Edit in response to the reply It WAS brought to the attention of staff on the day multiple times. You offered to refund me for ONE child but you overcharged me for TWO children. I know what normal procedures are but from the time of entry I told your staff what we wanted yet it wasn’t done. The play area was filthy, food in the ball pits, one of the kids at our party found a birthday card belonging to another child, when I took it to staff we where told that child’s party was the week previous, this just shows how often the play area is cleaned. I’ve requested a call or an email from management about this but as of yet I haven’t heard anything back.
