The best restaurants

30/11/2025: Food is really tasty. Lots to choose from. Daily specials, friendly staff. Lunch or dinner options. Cater for groups as well as a person by themselves.

22/11/2025: Can’t get service, we walked in at 1pm , shown to our table , handed the menus and forgotten about . The place was dead . Three other tables waiting on service. I locked eyes with the waiter twice as he walked by me , no one at the bar . This isn’t the first time it has happened. . I’m living in Celbridge fifteen years and always try to support local pubs and restaurants as the hospitality sector is really struggling. Maybe this isn’t the case for McMahons .

14/12/2025: Nearly 50 euro for burger and chips and nuggets and chip for delivery, you would expect something above the ordinary, not here my friends, burger missing from order, food presented very poorly and lukewarm , first world problem I know, but still annoying when food missing from order, they had one job and all that, nil points

08/03/2026: This was a busy spot for Sunday lunch. Had Roast lamb and roast beef and two Thai curries. The Thai curries were too hot, too salty and bore no resemblance to the tastes that one would associate with a Thai curry. The ladies were too reluctant to make a big deal other than point out that it was not good. The lady on the staff said that it was unfortunate and that was it. No attempt to alleviate the situation with a coffee or free dessert, just tough luck that you didn't mention it in time and it could be swapped. This is not the way to win good reviews or build a reputation. In these days of online reviews the dissatisfied customer tells 1000 other people.

09/11/2025: Lovely food, service could be a bit better, i would go there again easily if it wasn’t for the initial strong odour within the shop. The smell was indescribable, I think it was vomit that wasn’t cleaned up properly. I guess someone didn’t like the food. I strongly advise you get candles or an air freshener. I would definitely return here but the smell is unbearable. Please do something about it, its disappointing trying to get out of there especially when its busy, i could not wait to leave.

03/07/2025: Just had the tastiest Hazelnut latte from Le Pause Dessert. Wish I had time to sample some of the lovely food that was on display but had to review the minute I got home because of the beautiful Coffee I got.

05/08/2025: Part of the regular rotation and for good reason, food is consistently of good quality, staff are friendly and lovely people, and on the odd occasion there is a mistake, they are very quick to fix it, usually going above and beyond when they do. Thank you for all the lovely pizzas, and many more.

10/10/2025: We stopped for a coffee, and it turned out to be the best latte in town, and the best apple scone I've ever had. The place is tiny, but cozy and very clean. And the staff is very attentive. There's a small bathroom downstairs from where you can also see the kitchen. I'll definitely be back.

01/10/2025: Hygiene at this place is very poor. Dishes are washed by hand and wiped with the same dirty cloth in the same water. There is no dishwasher in the downstairs kitchen, and everything is done in unhygienic conditions. The products are not safe, hygiene-wise. Be careful!

09/10/2025: Had the bruschetta for starter ,bread was burnt on bottom unfortunately so couldn't finish The rest of the meal was nice ,service good ,seemed a bit weird that it was a sicilian restaurant and most of the pictures on walls were of Venice perhaps Pics of Sicily harder to get

23/08/2025: I absolutely love calling into Mackey’s cafe every weekend. The food is always delish & served hot. Coffee is great & staff are friendly and always up for the chats! Perfect walking distance from the forest too
