The best restaurants

01/03/2026: I have had dinner hear many times in the past and it was always a pleasure but it was so bad this time I had to change the review I left before. On our latest visit I think it was the worst service I think I have had in a restaurant in Ireland. The food when we received it was excellent. But what should haven been a two hour visit tuned into a 3 and a half hour affair. Their was lots of staff but only one seemed to be doing anything including taking our order clearing the table the rest of the staff where busy talking.It was such a bad service I don't think I would return.

01/11/2025: Usually butlers is top quality but for the last 4 months I’ve been getting our coffees here and the quality is so poor. Lattes and cappuccinos are being served piping hot, as if it’s being made at the wrong temperature. This makes the coffee go flat quickly so there’s no foam it just has the appearance of an instant coffee. The iced drinks are also coming 3/4 of the way full and taste watered, every time I’ve gotten one it’s either had no syrup, or they made me the wrong version of what I asked. I know some would say it’s not that deep, but for almost €6 a pop I would expect high quality considering other butler cafes never deliver this low of quality I know it’s not the brand however it’s definitely this particular branch or team.

13/03/2026: Lovely food...friendly staff and good atmosphere. Highly recommended. I overheard a lovely statement from one of the owners when asked was business good she replied "our customers are brilliant and only for them". Fair play you. And best of luck into the future

24/02/2026: The steak was too salty and there was a lot a sand and big chunks of black peppers It was a total waste of money and time.the fries were soft and the fish was raw and not crispy.I had the worst fish and chips in the world and the worst experience

09/01/2026: One of the best takeaways I've had. Staff always in great form. Anything I have ordered has always been excellent, but for me, the Pizza is the number one item on the menu! Definitely worth ordering!

11/11/2025: I decided to get a takeaway last Friday evening as I hadnt prepared anything for dinner. Ordered it at approx 5.30 pm and it arrived about 70 mins later. Couldn't eat it as the chips were competely dry and cold as was the burger. I'm guessing that the takeaway was in the delivery guys car for all that time. Dreadful to think thats acceptable. I emailed them later that evening (7th November) to give them feedback but no responce so hence my decision to publish it.

24/01/2026: If I could give this place lesser than one star, I would. The food is terrible to say the least, it’s just a sad excuse for a restaurant to be honest. It seems lucrative considering the price and the fact that it’s an all you can eat buffet, but the food and overall experience is simply just not worth it. The fried items taste stale, and the curries have the most strange texture. The butter chicken was sweeter than the dessert served. Overall pathetic, 0/10, would not recommend.

21/01/2026: Its very clean but the food is horrible in it im afraid the chips are always re done and reheated so the chips and good and burgers too the size of them they are small they need to up the quantity a bit . Milkshakes horrible disgusting im sorry they never taste nice . Kebabs very nice i cant complain about them . I love love kebabs .

22/10/2025: Fresh fish and homemade chips delicious and very generous portions. Server really friendly. Highly recommend.

28/12/2025: These pizzas are seriously good. It’s real pizza dough, not that cardboard stuff. The flavours are delicious, I can highly recommend them.

03/12/2025: My complaint is about the owner. Leaving only one girl working on a busy day is absurd!!! Nobody should do this to a staff. It’s ridiculous.

18/08/2025: I went to the place to order takeaway and the guy who was serving was totally impatient, it seemed like I was asking for a favor instead of shopping... In addition, the chicken wrap was quite small and tasteless... not worth the price... I wouldn't go back.

16/07/2025: I frequently visit to have an amazing Flat White and one of the best breakfasts you can get. Staff are ALWAYS FRIENDLY and can nit do enough for you. highly recommended 👌

18/01/2026: One of the best places in Ireland! The staff made sure they were offering the best experience ever. The food from the restaurant was outstanding, the pasta was super Italian! The view was divine. The spa was everything I was looking for to recharge, the massage was just on point. The whole weekend was brilliant!

16/12/2025: Beautiful hotel. Room was good. We got one that was away from the main corridor. Bath had seen better days. And no big mirror at side board in room, which was a little inconvenient for makeup and hair. Staff are great. The breakfast was unreal. Been a long time since I was in a hotel that cooked breakfast fresh. Much better than the typical smelly buffet where people put spoons in back in the wrong containers! Would recommend a visit to the terminal suit, if you like jacuzzis that are actually hot. Overall great stay. Would definitely visit again.

10/03/2026: Terrible, never again will I see foot in this place. The service was shocking the waitress would hardly speak to us it was more a series of noises and grunts from her, not to mention the food was diabolical I ordered a chicken wrap without tomatoes it came with tomatoes not to mention it was also burnt to a crisp after waiting 45 minutes for the food, the people who I was with ordered roast beef it was as dry as the Sahara desert. Terrible customer service and terrible food as well the place was freezing. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

08/03/2026: We arrived at 2:45pm for some dinner. We ordered food and then asked for a jug of mywadi. We were given the miwadi without glasses. After 20 minutes of waiting on glasses I decided to get them myself. I was handed 5 glasses and did not receive any help bringing these to the table so did 2 trips to the table with the glasses. We weren’t served our food until 3:40pm. I had ordered the chicken wrap without tomatoes as I am allergic, which arrived completely burnt. I took a bite to find tomato in my wrap. The beef was dry, soup served with one thin piece of soda bread. The bar was freezing cold. The waitress was extremely rude, smirking and did not apologize for not bringing glasses/the long wait or the fact that I received food I was allergic to. No apologies when paying. Overall a terrible experience. I recommend staying far away, will never return.

18/01/2026: Lovely place old charm mixed in the new .not to big just inviting. Food was lovely big portions but I'm suppose for the price .the only thing was the vegetables to my liking were not steamed enough very hard to even cut thought them .but overall I shall be back .we went here in the winter time and it was busy .I'm sure you will have to book ahead for summer cause the view's are just stunning off the bay..
