04/01/2026: I come here about once a month with a group of friends, and it's generally a great time. The tea selection is fantastic, and I've yet to have a bad one. The desserts are also really nice, and the atmosphere is cozy.

27/12/2025: My second trip to this very special oasis of calm and serenity on the north bank of the river Liffey ("Anna Livia Plurabelle" herself) and it improved my day no end. Hostess Sandra seated me (most comfortably) and then returned to take my order: No. 44 on the menu, a remarkable Slovakian tea with honey and lemon, which I noticed is prescribed for cold and flu' (neither of which I happen to have). Noticbly calmer, plus with a spring in my step and an friendly "Hello" for everyone who crossed my path, I emerged back into the world a better man (much enriched by my experience in The Tea Garden...). NB.: Prepare to forget about time itself once you step into this establishment. Also, cash ONLY!

10/11/2025: A horrible end to what had been a nice weekend. We visited here on a Sunday lunchtime after a weekend in the caravan park. We had drinks the night before, but decided to grab a quick pizza before heading home. They were preparing for a private event, so we asked if we could be accommodated, sitting outside and were told absolutely. We waited 15 mins before I went on the hunt for menus, and after another 15 minutes with no service, I went inside, where a sulky waitress, whom I was clearly inconveniencing, proceeded to reluctantly take my order. When ordered, I discovered the kids' meal didn't have the dessert, so she said she would " sort it out once we had eaten". My daughter's hot dog arrived along with our side of fries that we had ordered with our pizza. No cutlery or our drinks. There was a tsp of garlic mayo with the fries, which my daughter liked, so considering the portion was so tiny, I asked for a little more. This did arrive promptly, along with the card machine, for a €1.50 charge. Asked again for cutlery. The pizza eventually arrived, long after the fries were gone, and I asked again for my husband's drinks. When the pizza was gone, I went back in and asked for a refund for the non-arrival drinks, but after no sign of either a waitress or a refund, we left. We paid €37, including one Coke, which was not received. Additionally, we paid € 1.50 for an extra teaspoon of garlic mayo. The caravan park was fine, nothing special, but I couldn't fault it apart from having to wait 20 minutes for someone to come back to check in. I spent the whole meal in and out chasing menus, ordering drinks, and cutlery. etc - whole thing took over an hour despite no one else eating at the time - If they had just said that they were completely preoccupied with the later event, we could have gone somewhere that actually wanted us there. What the website doesn't make clear is that once you roll past Sept 1st, it's off-season and lots of things are closed , fewer choices of eating, etc.

02/04/2025: Great neighborhood pub. Food was tasty, staff were friendly and nothing was a problem.

01/04/2025: Sadly, closed its doors for the last time on the 31st of March 2025. Will be demolished from the 13th of April. Hopefully a pub will return to the iconic location in the summer of 2027 🙏

18/08/2025: Great atmosphere yesterday in there for Oasis, real pity about the older gentleman working behind the bar. Ive never seen someone as rude behind a bar, was there all afternoon and watched him have a go at 2 or 3 people for nothing, called one customer a gobshite. I couldnt believe it, he has to own the place for the way he carried on. Crazy, no way an employee would have been let carry on the way he did.

13/08/2025: A great bar. Didn't have the food but it looked lovely. Pub and toilets are spotless. Bar staff attentive and engaging.

29/11/2025: Maybe it's the previously empty stomach talking, but those were the best chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce I've ever eaten.

25/12/2025: We got married in the g 9 years ago, we have stayed there every year for the past 15 years. We celebrate our anniversary and we now have 3 December birthdays. This was all relayed through email while booking. As we have 3 small kids we love to stay at the g around Christmas and have our own little pj party. Despite sharing all this information when booking there was no welcome plate or card even left in our room on arrival, something which was always there before so that was a disappointment. The room itself was beautiful and spacious especially with our own Christmas tree. The room however was cold. The heating seemed fine on our first day but didn’t seem to work on the second day. While using the bath there was no little body wash beside it or that could be moved from the sink, which meant I had to get in and out which is a little dangerous. Breakfast selection the next morning wasn’t hectic, I chose pancakes and I asked for just strawberries and cream to be told there was no cream available. How can a 5 star hotel restaurant not have something quite basic as cream. Overall we had a nice stay but there is definitely room for improvement as initially it was even difficult to complete our reservation.

22/12/2025: Our stay was brilliant & Davidus (front office manager) made our stay special from the beginning with his warm welcome. Would 100% recommend to friends to stay here. Look forward to returning.

28/02/2026: First time at a comedy club and we're at bit skeptical but had the best time. Thank you Johnny Feelgood for saving my relationship! XD

21/02/2026: We booked this for a Birthday Party. Contacted and confirmed the table would be reserved via email. Show was fun and a good variety. Overall, we had a good night, unlikely to revisit due to the following. 1. Upon arrival we were informed no reversed seating was booked. Very disappointed. 2. Paid full price and then three weeks before, could have booked with 50% off. 3. The room possessed a cool, institutional atmosphere – devoid of warmth and ease. 4. Chairs are jammed together and staff requested on three occasions to move chair closer, eventhough there was no room. 5. Must order drinks through app - ordered drinks from staff and after 20 mins was told same. Still don't understand why we were not told first time. 6. Given vouchers for food and drink, however very hard to get servers. Not well organised.

30/11/2025: Fabulous pastries and sausage rolls, however there is a major bottleneck with coffee. Not vey busy in a Sunday morning and still waited almost 10 to get my coffee after paying for it.

22/11/2025: Oh good LORD. Greatest place on earth. Staff are lovely, food is incredible, building is gorgeous and clean. Each item on the menu is delicious and inventive. The place is so clean I could eat off it. And the staff are so unbelievably kind. SUCH good energy and always up for a chat. I could be having the worst day ever and one minute in there, im cured of everything. Im not even glazing. Keep doing whatever you're doing and I look forward to seeing the business continue to grow 😊

22/02/2026: ….an update review.Stayed here again a yr or so later.Cannot fault it at all.Joanne(I think.Gave us an upgrade to the Lennon suite) on the front desk is amazing.6 star service from her,Id actually feel guilty if i didn't return just because how professional she is .The hotel is just one of those places that you feel comfortable in but appreciated as well…… The walk behind the hotel on the western way is fab. Stayed for 2 nights recently. Really enjoyed the stay. Room was fine and clean.Big modern bathroom. Breakfast was good and the the attention from staff was great.From the service in the bar to the lady who ran out of reception to open the door that leads to the lift. You can see they are making an effort to keep guests happy. It’s only a 20 min drive to Achill and we spent 2 days out there. We didn’t eat in the hotel but did try the local pub which was good. The pub charged €10 for a pint of Guinness and a vodka and 7 up👏👏👏👏 The Dublin barman was chatty. But back to the hotel.We will definitely return. They have deals mid week so its worth ringing them direct

18/11/2025: We had a delightful and refreshing lunch of freshly made sandwiches and tea. We also bought cakes and baked goods for our breakfast the next day. We had the privilege of meeting the wonderful couple who make the bakery magic happen. Cue the song “Baker-Man” by Laid Back.

04/11/2025: Sometimes you just need a moment to relax, so you go into a café looking to enjoy something tasty and a nice warm coffee in peace… That was our intention until the waitress started rushing us. Several times she came to clear the plates and told us to hurry up because there were more people waiting — when we had only been there, what, 15 minutes? And then we had to wait another half hour standing just to pay?

11/02/2026: I did not stay in the rooms , but had plenty of pints Lovely staff , very friendly And huge smoking 🚬 area outside , Got a bit cold , 🥶 But one of the better places

30/01/2026: Location was great. Rooms were good. Unfortunately I found the service to be lacking. Tried calling and emailing before my arrival but got no response. Tried knocking on the door too but the same. Eventually got somebody to let me in. I felt like a massive inconvenience rather than a guest.

02/08/2025: Had a take away and although it took a little longer than estimated. It was definitely worth the wait. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted deliciously authentic! Definitely recommend Will eat in next time...

08/03/2026: Had to return to till to request the toy from the Friends “happy meal”. This has happened here twice previously. Other than that clean, nice staff and prompt service

23/02/2026: It's hit and miss here, they never have milkshakes available 'machine is broken' mmm.. chips cold, and went to the Castletroy one and it was so much better which is a shame. Come on Raheen!
