The best restaurants

06/02/2026: I would go as far as to say their pizzas are the best we’ve ever eaten and that includes pizzas in Italy. Lovely thin crust base and unlike other pizzas you don’t feel bloated after . 11/12 euro for a large pizza is unreal

09/09/2025: I booked a table in advance for a birthday meal for my partner yesterday evening, neither of us had been there before, and we were both very impressed. Our host was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the steak in sichuan sauce and the aromatic duck hotpot. Plenty of flavour, the veggies were fresh and the meat was tender, we'll definitely be back.

27/12/2025: Food not great the hotel needs Upgrade and more staff at parties and weddings . They give a resent glass of wine . Good location right in the middle of Bandon Kid friendly I am sure it’s great value

14/11/2025: I booked a meeting room. The space was prepared as discussed, everything organised when we got there. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was very good experience, 5 starts, we'll eb back.

12/01/2026: Paddy Moran’s Pub is everything you want in a traditional Irish pub and more. The atmosphere is warm, authentic, and full of genuine Mayo character, the kind of place where locals chat easily with visitors and the craic flows naturally. The Guinness is exceptional, easily among the best you’ll find anywhere, poured with real care and consistency. Add in the friendly service, the family-run feel, and the traditional music nights, and you’ve got a pub that captures the true spirit of the west of Ireland. If you’re visiting Castlebar and want a proper pint in a proper pub, this is an absolute must stop!

21/07/2025: We came here for a wedding at the weekend and it was fab! The venue was lovely and a perfect size - felt intimate without being cramped. Food was tasty and staff were more than helpful in making last minute swaps for me. Alcohol free selection on the bar was great as well, the raspberry beer was so good!

03/01/2026: Got a spice bag off of deliveroo and it was the worst spice bag I’ve ever had. The chips were soggy and chicken was very clearly from the freezer. We counted two pieces of pepper and onion in the whole bag and to top it off they gave me two spice bags. Coke was also gone off and flat in the tin. The curry sauce had separated in the container and tasted like O’Donnell’s cheap sauce from the supermarket. Something so simple could be done so much better :(

19/11/2025: Super bar. Came down from Belfast and a friend recommended this place - did not disappoint. Pints were great, staff were sound and I could have stayed for hours more for the music alone! Will absolutely be back again.

17/07/2025: Super place for a match, a chat, a laugh and one of the best pints of guinness in Cork! Great staff too!!

01/02/2026: so I ordered here 3 times. first time they forgot my curry sauce and the fish was mushy, second time they forgot my nuggets. last time I went in and asked are they sure the curry is inside. the answer was yes, it's in the bag. there was no curry. again 😑

15/10/2025: Weren't advised that the course was only playing 13 holes until arrival. Man behind counter fairly content that a tenner off was more appropriate than calling non members in advance to advise of course shortcomings. Long journey wasn't wasted as we played Bunclody which is a better course.

31/01/2026: Love this spot! Amazing Green Thai chicken curry and when paired with their fried rice it was beyond delicious. Also, special shoutout to their black pepper beef. Def see myself coming back for such a cheap but delicious meal!

18/12/2025: Can honestly say i travelled 2hrs 10min from belfast going to kneecap concert and had to call in to this place, which id been to a couple of times last year as i was working in liffey valley. One of the better spice bags ive had as this is almost a delicacy as we dont get them in the north sadly but definitely a shout for a quick fix and curry sauce nice n thick too

26/12/2025: We arrived at The Port House Cava for our booking at 1pm Christmas Eve. The restaurant was empty except for one table. All the other tables were vacant. The server greeted us and immediately warned us he needed the table back at 3pm. That’s fine. We sat. We waited. The same server was down the back chatting with the kitchen over the pass. We waited a little longer, still no drinks order was coming. I decided to draw some attention to our table by going up to the empty bar. The only occupied table gave me a glance that I read as a comment on the hopeless service as they tried to get the same servers attention. He was still chatting at the pass while the only two tables were both waiting for some attention. Up to the bar he saunters, I ask if we can order some prosecco. We only have Cava he says “they are the same thing”. No there not I reply, but ok let’s have a bottle of cava and if you don’t mind 6 glasses for our table. Back at our table he produces a wine list which would have been handy when we were seated. The cava arrives. It’s barely chilled. I say nothing. Again the same server reminds us that he needs the table back at 3pm. My blood is boiling at this stage as my family as I are made feel like we are an obstruction of sorts. The food arrives and it’s delicious. Well presented. Well cooked and a delight. The first bottle of cava is empty. I’d like to order another but the server is back down at the pass chatting again. To command he attention, again I get up and venture to the bar. Another server has started his shift just before 2pm. He’s more attentive. We order another cava and a bottle of rosé. 2.40pm and the 2nd server starts clearing our table. 2.50pm and they are hovering around our table to let us know it’s almost time to go. The restaurant is still empty except for one other 3top table. The bill arrives and I settle at the bar leaving half the tip I normally would. I ask the server why the hard push on getting the table back while the restaurant is empty. He has no answer. Which points me toward the owner or manager who I know will read this review. So, dear sir or madam, your pockets would be better lined if you spent as much time on encouraging your staff to deliver a good experience rather than a punctual one. You’re employing bus boys, not servers. We’re paying for the experience of which the food is only part. The atmosphere was dead just like the bookings. What’s the different between The Port House Cava and Tapas Del Lola? The staff. The staff. The staff. You’re doing Camden Street no favours with this diabolical customer service. I strongly suggest you consider adding some charm somewhere because you’re just not at the level of some of your good neighbours.

22/02/2026: This is a lovely restaurant, which these days are rare as I find alot of restaurants are more interested in doing takeaways and not creating a nice dining experience. Delhi Darbar Lucan is a restaurant with a great atmosphere, great food and very attentive waiting staff. They also do amazing cocktails. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

13/01/2026: We went there on Saturday, and we had a great meal. After that, we stayed for the live music and danced. The crowd was fantastic and really interactive. We stayed until closing time, and the atmosphere was amazing. The service was very humble, and the staff was great. It was an incredible experience, and it was my first night out in County Kildare, and it was totally worth it!
