25/08/2025: Our family had a very memorable stay here. Rooms were very clean with a lot of space. The breakfast was excellent. The location was perfect, right in the middle of scenic places to drive. The best part was the staff who were so friendly and made sure we have a lovely stay. Thank you so much!

01/01/2026: Dined here with a group for dinner. The food was very good and the staff were attentive and friendly. The mixed starter was very well prepared and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. I highly recommend the butter chicken. Will definitely revisit.

16/10/2025: Love coming in here apart from one issue.. staff. In fairness one in particular. Don't know her name, middle aged lady with short blonde hair. Anyway each time we go in there we are made to feel like we are an inconvince to her. Never a nice word or a thanks. The others are lovely to be fair but I seriously hope whom ever she is has a better day the next time we are in.

21/03/2026: This review is a bit of a mixed bag unfortunately. The servers were overall very friendly, but took way too long at each step to take our orders. Often we felt forgotten and had to directly catch staff walking by before we would be served. The booth we got was quite comfortable and suited us well, but unfortunately there was a very loud family (12-14 people) right beside us who repeatedly yelled throughout our entire visit which really dampened our time there. The food was flawless though. I had wings, my wife and friend had the Vol au Vent, and my other friend had the lasagne. All excellent. The secret sauce is also almost exactly the same as sauce I used to get on wings in Roadhouse in Carlow. They were immaculate. 4 stars for now because I think the other aspects that let the experience down have a lot of opportunity to be better on other days.

04/03/2026: Limited healthy or vegetarian options (almost everything is deep fried here). The soup starter I had was probably the saltiest I've ever tasted. Waitress somehow forgot to submit my main order with the rest of the group, so I sat waiting for my main for 25mins after the rest of my group had received their food. The only vegetarian main on the menu came with lardons. I asked twice that there be no lardons (I'm vegetarian). My dish eventually arrived 25mins late.... with lardons. I discovered this only after my first few bites. By that stage I'd lost my appetite and asked the waitress to take the food back, no replacement thank you. The manager came over 2 mins later, in what I think was an attempt to avoid removing my main from the bill, to tell me, without any evidence, that what I'd found in my dish were actually small pieces of carrot (they were definitely bacon pieces). He also wasn't aware that I'd waited 25mins for my dish. Start to finish, a very poor dining experience, with limited healthy / veggie menu choices and poor quality-control from the kitchen and floor staff. Avoid.

08/03/2026: Pros - Food was excellent quality. Good portion size. Freshly made - Friendly and efficient service - Restaurant clean and tidy Cons - No heating in restaurant and staff openly admit so. - Toilets have no way to dry your hands - I did order a soft drink and noted it was out of date by a month or so. Staff however apologetic and did give immediate refund as these things do happen. I would visit again after my experience today as the food itself is excellent.

17/01/2026: I recently visited Hochak Asian Street Food at Brú Na Sionna, Shannon Town Centre with my family and it was a truly enjoyable experience. From the moment our food arrived, it was clear that this place values both quality and generosity. We ordered the Chicken Sweet Corn Soup and the Korean Chicken Fried Rice, and both dishes exceeded our expectations. The soup was warm, comforting, and full of flavour — perfectly balanced and freshly prepared. It was a great way to start the meal, especially on a cool day. The Korean Chicken Fried Rice was absolutely delicious. It was packed with flavour, well-seasoned, and the chicken was tender and well cooked. What really stood out was the portion size — the plates were extremely generous. In fact, the portions were so large that we couldn’t finish our meals, which is rare and very much appreciated. The food tasted fresh, authentic, and clearly made with care. For the quality and quantity offered, the value for money is excellent. It’s the kind of place where you leave feeling completely satisfied. Overall, Hochak Asian Street Food is a fantastic spot in Shannon for anyone who enjoys tasty Asian food served in generous portions. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family, and I look forward to visiting again to try more dishes from their menu.

19/11/2025: Poppyseed is a wonderful place to spend an hour beside the river with an outdoor seated area overlooking the river and bay. The food is freshly cooked to order with plenty of variety. Coffee is the best I’ve had in any location worldwide!! Seriously, the coffee is a lovely blend. It is the heartbeat of Clarinbridge village. It has a beautiful garden centre practically linked to its back entrance. The staff are just lovely, well trained and very friendly. Go and enjoy. Pat Surlis

08/02/2026: Nice, quiet pub. We stopped for a drink and when we asked for the drinks menu, we were told, "We don't have a drinks menu." So, we ordered two beers, a Guinness and a Rockshore. We paid almost €16. If I'd known a beer was that expensive, I probably would have ordered something else. But since there wasn't a menu with prices, I couldn't have known!

26/09/2025: Kinda weird. They sat us down in the dining room. An empty room, nobody was there. Took our drinks orders, gave us menus. We were ready to go. Then they told us the kitchen wasn’t open…

19/10/2025: We only had coffee/tea and a scone. All very nice and friendly. Alle the salads in the vitrine looked so fresh but we sadly had to move on before trying and tasting them all. We will be back.

16/07/2025: A lovely little spot that my partner and I visited for breakfast. It was quiet and the staff were quick to serve us. The breakfast menu has a nice collection of breakfast stables with something for everyone. We each had a Pancake Stack. Mine with Berries, Compote, Greek Yogurt and Honey. My partner's with Bacon, Maple Syrup and Pecans. The Coffee was good and fresh. Would definitely recommend this spot and we will certainly be back again.
