The best restaurants

25/06/2026: Came in for a quick lunch and to get some relief from the heatwave. Sandwich was great, but I brought with me a soda I had just purchased at another shop, and an employee very rudely told me I could not drink it in there. I have never heard of a restaurant with a rule like that. It was odd and the employee’s attitude was very off putting.

21/04/2026: ABSOULUTETLY adored the service it was all happy vibes and genuinely made my day. The hot chocolate aswell was heavenly. Absolutely recommend.

17/11/2025: I'd like to point out that my review refers only to the Mocha Beans guesthouse, which is located above the bar. My room was very small, with a bulky closet. Luckily, I didn't have a large suitcase, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to open it. The mattress is old and sagging, with springs that hurt my back. There are no electrical outlets in the bathroom, and to figure out how to use the shower, I had to call the owner because I wasn't told there was a button outside the bathroom to activate it. There's essentially no reception, and you're given an access code for the main door, which is the same for the room. I texted the owner several times in the days leading up to my stay to ask if it was possible to check in at 11/11:30 in the morning instead of 2:00 PM. He never answered, and when I called him after arriving, he showed up, saying the room was still occupied and that I had to return at 2:00 PM. I told him about my messages and that I hadn't received a response, but he showed no interest. Once I returned at 2:00 PM, I had to wait on the stairs because the cleaning lady hadn't finished. I had to ask for a hairdryer because there wasn't one in the room. I wasn't provided with a shower mat, and I only had a face towel and a large one. I struggled to sleep that night because of the mattress, and in the morning I woke up around 6:00 AM (the only window in the room is on the ceiling and can't be opened because it's too high, and there's no curtain). For what I paid, I didn't receive good service, and even the lady who prepared the room seemed very cold; she didn't ask if I needed anything. The cleanliness was passable. The only advantage is that it's twenty minutes from the city center. I definitely won't be returning.

19/10/2025: There is no check in as such for this bedroom so I can't rate service really. The room itself is clean and comfortable and an adequate size but there is nowhere to store clothes. There isn't enough room for a wardrobe. We were in room number 4 and the shower room isnt exactly ensuite but almost. It's opposite the room on a tiny off side corridor only for room 4. The shower room is spotless nicely tiled and the shower is lovely. There is no plug for the basin. There's no hair dryer or iron. The rooms are above a cafe so I think breakfast should be included. It is an easy walk into the centre of Galway city so perfectly situated.

04/04/2026: Very disappointing experience overall. Ordering was frustrating – the staff member seemed to struggle to understand simple requests. Delivery time was quoted 40–50 minutes which felt quite long. When the food arrived, nothing was prepared as expected. Everything was packed separately (noodles, meat, sauces), with no cutlery, chopsticks, or even napkins provided unless specifically requested – which is not ideal for a delivery. Food itself was bland and lacked flavour. I would rate it around 4/10 at best. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t order again and wouldn’t recommend unless you have no other option.

12/06/2026: Excellent, charming place to stay. The rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable. Very close to the center and with incredibly friendly staff. I would definitely stay again. I loved it!

27/05/2026: Leaving the place after my first night, paide for two. Very small bed and uncomfortable sleeping conditions where I won't fit into the bed and will have to put my feet against the wall. Old, sagging mattress Hard pillow No hot water in the shower Noise throughout the night Light coming into the room from outside Privacy issue with the peephole lacking a cover highly dissatisfied. Only good thing it was clean

06/07/2026: Best Qabuli Pulao in Dublin. I have tried different places in Dublin and D grill’s Qabuli Pulao is the best no doubt. Recent renovations have made the place even better, service is also top notch. Highly recommended

02/07/2026: Very good service and very good food. A very nice place to sit with friends. I recommend it.

24/03/2026: They have an extensive menu, but we ordered pizza. It was wonderful! The crust was very crisp but chewy, and the sauce was very light and flavorful, with not too much acidity. The food came quickly and the service there was very attentive.

14/02/2026: Currently waiting over 2.5 hours for a delivery. Tried ringing many many times and getting no answer. Absolute joke i will not be getting food from here again

18/11/2025: We had a delightful and refreshing lunch of freshly made sandwiches and tea. We also bought cakes and baked goods for our breakfast the next day. We had the privilege of meeting the wonderful couple who make the bakery magic happen. Cue the song “Baker-Man” by Laid Back.

04/11/2025: Sometimes you just need a moment to relax, so you go into a café looking to enjoy something tasty and a nice warm coffee in peace… That was our intention until the waitress started rushing us. Several times she came to clear the plates and told us to hurry up because there were more people waiting — when we had only been there, what, 15 minutes? And then we had to wait another half hour standing just to pay?

11/04/2026: Wonderful place. Sarah was our waitress and she was wonderful. She was attentive, friendly, and polite. She had a positive attitude and acted like nothing was too big an ask. Would come back just for her!

06/02/2026: Love this bar but one issue is when a recent premier league match was on every screen I.in the bar yet there was no sound ? Lots of people watching silent tv ...and there was no music ...please explain the silent football??

23/04/2026: I’m so disappointed with this service tonight I ordered a carbonara as it’s my absolute favourite comfort food from here I got it tonight as I was very upset and I received the greasiest and watery pasta I’ve gotten turned off the food completely it’s sad this was my comfort food

20/04/2026: I didn’t actually stay here, but would’ve loved to. I will say the pub atmosphere was truly wonderful with stories, music from local performers, and a true sense of community. The food was also delicious.

30/12/2025: Beautifully situated right next to the Connor Pass and 20 minutes away from Dingle but not a lot of tourists come here. We were so warmly welcomed here and had the pleasure of taking part in a music night like none other - it was like sitting in a living room among friends. Thank you so much for this night, it made our trip very special!

24/02/2026: The food here is very average... Indeed, the portions are large but no one in our group would be requesting to return for the food. The staff were very friendly.
