The best restaurants

29/09/2024: I speak with 12 years experience is hospitality industry, this is not 5 start experience. Catastrophic customer service, inexperienced served not knowing dishes on the menu being smalles issue, pointing finger at menu card, unsure of what is and isn't available, with zero compression how to great and engage guest. Owner chatting with mentuoned server by the bar, I heard all details of their conversation. Could have done without. Table not cleared promptly. Owner on the phone instead. There was 12 maybe 16 sits in the venue, not like it was busy, but we sat with empty plates in front if us for 10 minutes. Cutlery set on the wrong side. Zero ambiance, really awkward, tables not dressed, music too quiet. You want to charge 60£ per meal for two, slap a tealight on the table, that would really help to justify to starts. I was give tea with ONE sashet of sugar. ONE Owner flopping around in her flip-flops around. Lift your feet woman. Honestly. Don't get me wrong, your restaurant you do you, but damn thats was such a poor experience. Food not authentic, I can tell cheap tomato from vine tomatoes. Canned artichokes. Wasn't offered balsamic or olive oil on the table. Super stingy with cheese sprinkles. No warm welcome or goodbye. Half menu 86 (not available) How do you run out of fries? Questionable wine per glass, I had wine once or twice wine before I am confident I can te the difference, I was not served what I ordered, some awful cheap red liquid instead. If you are not local like me, do yourself a favor and visit a very descent pub not far from, Highwayman.

12/01/2025: Been on the hunt for finding a Pad Thai that I’d go back to and I think I’ve found a place. I really enjoyed it, it was the perfect amount of sauce with well cooked noodles . Prawns and chicken were flavorful and I’m a prawns fan so this was a great choice. The portion size was filling. Its definitely worth the price. Ambience is warm and service was quick and friendly as well. Would recommend dine in for sure.

28/01/2025: A WARNING TO ALL This hotel is hosting refugees, I was only fortunate enough to find out as I have family living in the area, there is absolutely nothing notifying customers on the twin trees website or booking sites. This is truly unacceptable putting families in danger like this.

25/01/2025: The food is delicious, but the service is very slow (considering we were the first guests in the restaurant). Interestingly, the manager seemed more concerned with showing something to the waiter on the phone every two minutes!

12/01/2025: Fast and friendly service, good food and generous portions. We arrived late and without a reservation and they gave us a table without any problem. If what you are looking for is fast food, this is your place

19/12/2024: Decided to give here a try after hearing good things about it and we weren't disappointed! The lounge is enormous but was lovely and warm, with a great atmosphere. The staff were nice and welcoming and the service excellent too. Now - I'm going out on a limb here to say that this was the best pint of guinness I've had in Rush! The only criticism I have about tje establishment is that the ladies toilets need an overhaul. We heard that they owners are going to start making food - can't wait to return to try the menu!

05/01/2025: Spice India - A Culinary Delight for Our Anniversary! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary with a catered meal from Spice India Galway, and it was an absolute triumph! Chef Sebastian and his team crafted a truly exceptional dining experience that left our guests raving. Every dish was a standout, but the butter paneer and vegetable korma were particularly memorable - rich, flavorful, and crowd favorites. The samosas and spring rolls were also big hits with our guests, and the beef cutlets were another favorite. The Malabar biryani and chicken curry were divine, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. Not only was the food delicious, but it was also delivered on time and beautifully presented before the guests arrived. Spice India went above and beyond to make our anniversary celebration special. We've already passed their details on to our guests, and we can't wait to order from them again! Highly recommend Spice India for any occasion!

28/12/2024: Ordered takeaway. Service was good, staff are polite, seem organised and one the ball. Food was not great. I ordered chicken tikka, was given chicken tikka tandoori from the clay oven, i just wanted a regular chicken tikka masalla, maybe it was my fault, I only said chicken tikka on the phone, but anyway it was too spicy and not alot of sauce for it. The korma was bright yellow and very Yogurty or something, I've never seen a korma this color. Anyway the food was barely lukewarm when we ate it even though I was home within 10 minutes of collection and it seemed i was given it straight from the kitchen as I did have to wait a few minutes for it when I got there. It wasn't enjoyable to eat, it went cold within minutes, the korma was bland and tikka wasn't the one I wanted and the chicken was a bit dry/overcooked. The Naan breads were nice.

10/12/2024: I just had the chicken doner meat with chips... I'm in heaven! Chicken doner was said to be a bit spicy but I'm cool with that. The sauce was lush, the salad wasn't over bearing the chicken itself was succulent, I was smiling from ear to ear the whole time! If you're wanting meat and chips, come here. It's a MUST!

11/10/2024: Lovely pub. No music tonight unfortunately

24/09/2024: To quote a certain beverage provider, Shanleys is probably the best pub in Ireland for atmosphere and Live music. With no cover charge you can expect to see a quality of music that would as easily sit in a 10,000 person venue as it does in Shanleys. It's rich history as a live music venue preceeds itself and it really is wonderful to see the range of performers and music styles here. With some of the biggest names in music having performed here over the years its a treasure trove of history on the walls with photos and posters from years gone by. One of the best pints of Guinness and Murphys around too! Staff here are always delighted for a chat whether you are in on your own for a quiet drink or a group to enjoy your visit. Fantastic beer garden at the back too for any event. Thanks to all in Shanleys.

23/12/2024: Peor pub de la historia, dueño muy paranoico, falta de servicio al cliente, peor pub en Irlanda para el deporte, menat para ser pub dirigido por la familia, no una esperanza, peor familia para dirigir un pub, absolutamente ruina que son, Padre e Hija, pensando allí mejor que otros, miran hacia abajo a los clientes, kip de un pub, todos en la zona dicen lo mismo de ellos, simplemente toman el dinero de los clientes, siguen subiendo los precios, pintas son horribles, vasos desaliñados sucios,

21/11/2024: Up from Cork for a weekend and we were told that this place was good and it did not disappoint. Very friendly lovely staff and the prices were very reasonable even in this economy. Also a sitdown option which was very handy given that there was not much in New Ross generally. The munch box was the best option for me and very cheap with loads of variety unit.

04/01/2025: My ex introduced me to this store, and it's great for the ingredients I need for my home cooked food. I will be back here for sure.
