The best restaurants

18/02/2026: I had a fantastic experience at Central Grill in Ballymany, Newbridge! From the moment I walked in, the staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious — perfectly cooked, generous portions, and full of flavour. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into every dish.The menu offers great variety, and the prices are very fair for the standard of food and service. My favourite dish Fish & Chips. Overall, Central Grill is a real gem in Newbridge — consistent, tasty, and always a pleasure to visit. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys great food and top-notch hospitality!

01/02/2026: Ridiculous amount of chips, paid for 2 bags and this is what we got

09/02/2026: Had the fish and chips. COD was old haddock ( not especially fresh).. & chips but no veg or salad. Very cheap at 19 euro but I’d have preferred to pay more to be able to eat it….

Ordered over the phone as had to collect on the go, when reached they said they dont have it, and no one had amy idea about the order.. showed them the number , they said its correct, but dont know who took the order and what happend. Really disappointed with the service and attitude... will not recommend it to any one

19/12/2025: Shockingly bad experience to say the least . Was told on the phone to the cinema earlier in the day to get the Showtime of the movie myself and my two kids wanted to watch. Travelled 40 minutes there for the show time with a 40 minute drive home. When at the counter I was told there was a mistake in the information I was given earlier in the day that the movie had already began and started a half a hour before. They offered an apology and 3 free passes for the following day, which in the beginning I thought was fair , but thought about it further and realised it didn't account for the wasted time or disappointment for the kids , barely covering the fuel expense let alone anything else and with a 40 minute drive back home for nothing and a drive back again the following day again to see the movie they wanted. I brought this to the attention of the staff member to come to a resolution where I thought the least they could do with let us into see something now so our time wasn't wasted and use the free passes for the movie they originally wanted to see the next day. The staff member informed me there was nothing further they could do, while I was speaking to her ,another staff member rudely interrupted and began saying they weren't even there when the original mistake was made, given her repugnant attitude, demeanor, hand gestures this then turned into a full blown argument, after repeated attempts to get this irrate individual away from me ,I was then seen as the blame by other staff members and asked to leave. I can understand a mistake , could accept only getting the passes and not being compensated for our wasted time and disappointment but couldnt accept the rude display of unprofessionalism so i ended up throwing the free passes back at them and telling them keep them and was asked to leave by 3 staff members in a situation where I refused to be spoke down too and talked to like a child as if it i was my mistake ,even telling to write down the show time for the next day and given a pen and paper as if i was fault, condescending, rude , shocking , two minds to pursue a civil action let alone just a complaint to management. Unbelievable.

06/12/2025: Good cinema sweet popcorn is nice good if you are to watch any films i would last watched Back to the Future for 40th anniversary but I have been watching different films right now for all these years such as different ones can't think of at the moment ice cream is nice and so is there slushies tried the director's lounge once was nice

06/10/2025: A wide selection of coffee beans, which you can either pick up ready-made or have roasted right for you. The only inconvenience is that when you order coffee to go, it's always piping hot. In good establishments, coffee is ready to drink right away.

11/09/2025: No gluten free food at all. Not even a single prepacked brownie. Disappointing.

06/08/2025: Delicious coffee, nice staff. Beautiful view of the river from the terrace.

07/07/2025: I enjoy the food but not the beverages. I ordered a cappuccino which was very weak and tasteless. Was advised they use medium roast. Tea also bland. Not to my taste but the cakes and scones are good.

20/09/2025: ordered food an 655 [response said 725 delivery time)pm still waiting at 817 pm. No food? Despite two calls. I'd have cooked food for 4 people in half the time. Wouldn't have minded if they have us a heads up it would be so late. When we ordered delivery estimate 30 mins. Its now 817pm no food. Food came 820 and was very good. Just a call in advance to say it would be late would have been cool

23/12/2025: Fantastic for entertaining kids. Different areas suitable fur different ages.

11/01/2026: Ordered off the street, sweet n sour pork and chicken in black bean sauce. Got ribs and chilli in the black bean sauce. A disaster, will not be there again.

10/06/2025: We have used the Gourmet Parlour on a number of occasions for outside catering, never disappoints. Catherine and staff are always on the ball. Would definitely recommend.

01/02/2026: Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and very helpful and smiley staff. Accidentally we left something valuable at the table and they kept it safe for us to return and collect it. We really enjoyed our visit to this lovely place. Will definitely come back again in the future.
