02/01/2026: Worst experience ever. Food was slow to come out. What you call a full irish I would not even call it a half. Toast was only hot bread. This was at Tesco Powerstown Clonmel.

12/09/2025: I used to like going to esquires…now I’m not too fussed these days. It all changed there when they changed their menu. They had the best sweet chilli chicken noodle salad and then for whatever reason stopped it and revamped the menu. I’m not inclined to order from there at all now. I do go in sometimes when a family member want a cuppa. That becomes another annoyance for me because any time I’ve asked for 2 teas, we get 1 pot. If I wanted 1 pot for two, I would have asked for it. This happened again to us yesterday but I was prevented from saying anything which I regret now. I did say something the first time it happened to me. I didn’t think I would have to be extremely exact in wording for what I’d want. Just a tip for esquires though, please ask the customer if they want 2 pots or one large if they’re ordering tea for 2. Some people might like their own pot for the price charged.

19/12/2025: Ludicrous prices, disappointing

10/12/2025: A DECAF coffee costs €4.30! More than an Americano. When I commented to the teller, he said “So you want one or not”. I returned my pasties and left.

14/12/2025: This place has very friendly staff, and rooms are fine, good comfy beds, clean, for the most part, But its not a hotel, its a pub/nightclub with rooms. If you are here on weekend, you will not sleep before 3am. The rooms are directly above the "nightclub " and its loud, Not just a little, its very loud. But if you know what your getting, its fine. About the food, sorry but its really bad. Like bad, bad. Apart from that, staff are great, rooms basic but, decent, common areas are very 80s and rundown. If you want a cheap place to sleep, with a good place to get pissed and stay up until 3am. This is for you. If you want a luxury room and a peaceful early night on a weekend, then look elsewhere.

12/10/2025: Hotel and pub on Arklow's main street, a welcoming place to stop for tea, coffee, or a beer with friends.

03/03/2026: Ordered my food at 19:11 and it’s now 21:13 no sign of food rang after an hour said it was in the way rang again and said they are waiting in a driver DISGRACE!!!!!

31/01/2026: Worst experience I ever had I placed an order it took almost 2 and half hour for the first time I saw that a delivery will take more than two hours The shop was too near less than a kilometer I ring three times but still took that much time and than I cancelled the order was totally hungry😪,,, totally disappointed and a very very bad experience

20/10/2025: Horrendous service especially as of late, we have had 5 orders over the last few months arrive with 1 or more side missing, then being told you'll have to ring the store to get it sorted. You ring and are left on hold then the staff try to get you to not have a replacement sent out, the missing sides end up taking longer to receive than the original order does

10/10/2025: Didn’t even explain about the food! The guy on the till explain the way sounds like dips are free but actually he charged for that! Not enough veg on the spice bag, chicken is very hard, and the potatoes are too dry and hard too. Over all taste is very poor.

30/11/2025: Dead pub. Had it's day and is now rotting and decaying. Went in for a pint and to watch the football, felt like I was in a strangers living room Won't be coming back any time soon at all Needs massive improvement in all aspects

15/10/2025: Sign says "Fine food served daily". Food is only served Thursday thru Sunday.

09/12/2025: There's only chip size option; large and it's a standard size portion in my opinion. I ordered the chips and a southern fried breast of chicken. I asked for salt and vinegar and when I started eating, the first thing that struck me was how bland the food was. There was very little salt and vinegar on the chips. In fact I suspect it's that watered down 'vinegar' some chippers use. The chicken was a big let down too. Southern fried should have tons of flavour but this tasted of nothing. Overall it was a disappointing meal and service was very slow. Also, leave the chips unwrapped and the salt and vinegar out on display so customers can add more. Will not return.

14/11/2025: The kebab had to much lettuce and cabbage and the curry chips I got were too dry didn’t have much sauce 👍

14/01/2026: Just got Apache there usually usually get it most weeks absolute disgrace Pakistanis working in there called Food the kebab was absolutely disgusting. It was cold and Meet would remind her out of it. Something out of the freezer. It was disgusting but one order from them ever again and I was a good customer Get rid of the Pakistanis and put in the proper Irish staff. They can understand you as well on the phone.

03/01/2026: We ordered food at 9.35 and did not arrive until 11.15 an hour and 45 minutes later. We understand it was new years but there was no level of communication from the store and I am guessing the phone was taken off the hook because it would not ring for over 45 minutes as we wanted to cancel our order. When the food arrived the pizza was hot but could have been cooked a lot more as it was wet on top, the taco fries were honestly stone cold, they must have been sitting there a long time and the camberet bites were fine. If the order wasn’t leaving the store when I rang I would have cancelled and asked to be refunded. I am so disappointed with the food quality and the amount of time it took as we have used apache a lot over the past year especially for events such as my daughters christening and my sisters day 2 of her wedding. The only positive about the whole experience was the delivery driver, he was so apologetic and friendly. I submitted feedback online but still have not received any contact. Such a pity as it used to be a great takeaway and there are some lovely people working there.

22/08/2025: ⭐☆☆☆☆ Avoid this place. The girl at the counter has extremely poor people skills — always rude, never friendly and acts like customers are a nuisance. She gave me the wrong order, blamed me for it, and couldn’t even apologise. She’s been like this since day one and it ruins the whole takeaway. I won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

21/10/2025: I ordered from this restaurant last night while in Kilkenny. I ordered Hot and Sour Soup, Schezuen Chicken and a Chicken Chow Mein. The delivery was fast, the food arrived piping hot and the chow mein was of a good quality and tasty. That was where this all stopped! The hot and sour soup had sweet chilli in it, and had an overriding sweet flavour that was not pleasant. This was more of a sweet and nothing soup and definitely not hot and sour. I then opened the 'Schezuen' chicken and to my absolute disgust this was again a sweet chilli chicken and not a schezuen pepper in sight. I rang the restaurant to see if i had been given the wrong dish in error and I was told 'No they do Schezuen Chicken with sweet chilli'! Well then this is not Schezuen chicken but sweet chilli chicken. The flavour was not to my taste at all, it was so sweet when all I wanted was the yummy spiciness of schezuen peppers. To their credit they agreed to get the delivery driver to come back to collect the food, as I was not going to eat either of these dishes, and I have just received my refund today also. If the schezuen & soup had been to the standard of the chow mein, I would have given this 5/5 but unfortunately neither were the dishes advertised.

23/11/2025: Great coffee, fresh bread and pastries, and a friendly atmosphere. Definitely a place I’d come back to

07/11/2025: Rejected my order for delivery from 1km away because of being ‘too far’ (with a high delivery charge). Took 5 days to get money back

08/07/2025: Got mixed veg fried rice and onion rings would definitely get again .
