03/11/2024: Food was ordered at 8:50, not delivered till 22:30, pizza was cold, sons food was cold, my curry chips where dry! Very disappointed!

19/09/2024: Unfortunately we chose to dine here tonight 18/09/24, I ordered beef curry&rice, my partner ordered prawn curry with rice and a bottle of house wine to share @€22 total bill just shy of €57, my partners prawns and rice were fine but the curry sauce was like runny yellow vomit with a few frozen peas chucked in, my beef was like leather, it was so sub standard that my Jack Russell 🐕 would struggle to get his teeth into it, I requested to speak to the chef to relay my dissatisfaction, but the waitress informed me that the chef was new and he doesn't speak/engage with customers or entertain their valid complaints/concerns but as a gesture of good will she offered to reduce our bill by €4 euro. In my honest humble opinion this is the worst Chinese restaurant that I have ever dined in, I have never in my lifetime left negative feedback for any restaurant or hostilely that I have visited and if it was possible to leave zero stars then I would have. I have no problems with the waitresses as they were very professional and efficient, but when the chef treats you with utter contempt and fails to address the issues at hand, that I do have a problem with, the food was sub standard and to me that's taking my hard earned cash under false pretences, by dishing up what's basically junk food. I do sincerely hope they learn some little bit from my honest feedback. We were the only two patrons in the restaurant at this time tonight. I wonder why??

30/12/2024: We recently stayed at Feenys Lodge and found it to be a clean, efficient, and good value for money option in Salthill. The location was excellent, with a bus stop just up the street, making it easy to get into Galway city—thanks to the lovely lady at check-in who pointed it out. The check-in experience was warm and welcoming. The lady showed us to our room and mentioned there was a heater in the cupboard in case we needed it, which came in handy. The main heating in the room didn’t seem to work through the night. This was fine for us while sleeping, but the room felt a bit cold after a morning shower. Using the little heater helped warm things up nicely. The hot water in the shower didn’t get as warm as we would have liked, which added to the morning chill, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. After a full day exploring the Cliffs of Moher, we enjoyed dinner and drinks before returning to the lodge for a good night’s rest. Overall, Feenys Lodge is a budget-friendly and convenient option for travelers. With a few tweaks to the heating and water systems, it could be even better.

07/11/2024: Great place, rooms spacious as was bathroom, shower facilities. Lovely lady dies the room cleaning, and easy reach to Salthill and Galway centre only 20mins walk away .

03/01/2025: Service was great but we went at 3pm on a Friday so wouldn’t be as busy. Food was ok, Irish breakfast and kids goujons were piping hot but the French toast was lukewarm overall but cold in areas which I suspect is because it was cooked first and let to sit. I’d say on a busy day the food wouldn’t be great if it was like this when it wasn’t.

31/12/2024: Waiting 15 minutes with no service, in the end had to ask for someone to take our order. Boyfriend ordered waffles and was given pancakes, and I was charged the same price of a full breakfast ( which includes the full works) when I only got two sausages and two bacon with toast. Very disappointed.

12/01/2025: Charged an extra 50cent to literally toast my burrito!. (Which was a small burrito) paid €7.90, then when i asked for it to be toasted he said thats 50cent for toasting! Crazy...Never experienced that before !!

26/08/2024: I have been going to Kilkee for the last forty years, and The Pantry has gotten progressively bewildering in what it is trying to achieve. Back in the day, it was a thriving Café and bakery, serving cooked breakfasts, sandwiches, and delicious treats. They have changed a lot over the years, and the current layout doesn't do it justice. The majority of the space is taken up with what I assume is intended to be an Italian style Delhi, with displays of jams, wines, olive oils and pastas. This runs alongside a hot counter and baked goods stand, and a seperate coffee counter. This peculiar layout is entirely at the expense of adequate indoor seating, in the wilds of west clare. There are a handful of small tables inside the front door, and an outdoor seating area with no awning or umbrellas despite frequent heavy rain. The food is very good quality, but you are paying Café prices for essentially take-away food, which is served in single use plastic, even if you are eating "in", and the staff can be gruff. The Pantry gets away with this solely because of the lack of competition. Save your money and head for Beag in Kilrush.

26/08/2024: The sandwiches at The Pantry are hard to beat. Top-quality ingredients, generous portions and a wide variety of options. Their scones and carrot cake are also well worth trying. The only downside is a lack of indoor seating which surely is a bit of a must given the unpredictable weather on the west coast.

03/12/2024: I was in here earlier today and I was absolutely disgusted at the way an older customer was treated! We were just finishing up our food when I heard a server raising her voice to an older lady sitting at the next table. The lady was waiting for her daughter before she ordered her food. She simply told the server that she was waiting for her daughter. The server aggressively told her "you cannot sit here until you have ordered your food". The lady tried explaining that she was waiting for her daughter. That wasn't enough... Another staff member came over telling the lady "you cannot sit here. That table is for people who have already ordered their food". So now there were two servers standing over her as if it wasn't embarrassing enough for her. All the nearby tables could hear them. The lady again tried explaining that she was just waiting for her daughter. These two staff members were so horrible to her. It was absolutely disgusting to see. The poor lady was absolutely mortified. There was another table at the wall that the people ordering could have sat at. I offered the lady our table as we were leaving. She seemed a lovely lady and visibly upset and embarrassed. I was genuinely upset myself for a good while after witnessing the way they treated her. Disgusting!!

22/10/2024: Ordered multiple meals for delivery. It arrived later, but well, that can happen. However the food is great and it is worth the wait. Lamb saag is well made and flavourful. I need to highlight their garlic naan, it is amazing with the lot of garlic pieces in it. I would easily recommend them. Thank you!
