The best restaurants

17/08/2026: We came here for dinner and a couple of pints. The waiters did forget about our food a little and we had to wait some time before we got the food. But once they realised it they took it really seriously even though it honestly wasnt a big deal, so honestly, I was still very satisfied with their service. Food was great and the place itself is really lovely. Keep up the good work guys and gals :)

07/08/2026: Probably the best asian ever. Such a tasty and fresh genuine asian experience. We had ramen, chicken katsu curry and dumplings and wow...what a food what a taste what a service! Thank you!

29/05/2026: There’s a free art tour given at 5pm which was incredible - Jonathan’s knowledge was very impressive and just an all round great bloke. Would’ve given a hefty tip if we had any cash! Followed by a few of the best cocktails I’ve ever had in my life - the 1958. Tastes like a spicy marg, looks like a martini. Stunning hotel and the staff were all class, we’d definitely come to stay next time.

27/05/2026: Sensational few days! Service was top class, food was perfect. Staff couldn’t have looked after us any better!

15/08/2026: What can I say it is a destination restaurant owned and run by the loveliest and most competent people. You can't put into words how well curated and designed the food, ceramics,decor and service are. 10/10

04/08/2026: A space with restaurants, clothing stores, and souvenir shops. There are tables to sit and eat, and a musician provides background music.

18/09/2026: Lovely service! The slow cooked rib with mash is to die for.

17/09/2026: Lovely atmosphere with good service but inconsistent with some amazing food and some tasteless. My tagliatelle bolognese was so so good. There was tons of flavour, everything was cooked really well and I was really happy with my choice. Unfortunately my latte was undercooked and sour which was disappointing given it is an Italian restaurant. My partner ordered the carbonara and while the meat was delicious, the rest of the dish was disappointing. The sauce had a nice creamy texture but somehow lacked any flavour whatsoever. Seems odd how different the two dishes were but overall it was a satisfactory visit with some caveats.

23/08/2026: Asked if ok with dog, ladysaid mot normally, but made exception. Once sat and ordering food was told by second person dogs not allowed, but we cpuld stay. Though if anyone came in & objected we would have to take dog out. Throughout breakfast there was a frosty attitude from server. Having saod this food was excellent, and place nice & clean. May have been easier of not ket dog in to start with.

16/08/2026: A beautiful small café with extraordinarily good food. We stumbled across this gem accidentally, and will come back the next time we happen to be in the area... Very friendly staff, lovely selection of food. Remember to bring cash!

23/08/2026: St Margaret’s course was in fantastic condition, the greens were superb. One of my favourite courses around Dublin, well designed course and the 18th is a challenging hole to end on with bunkers and water to shake up any score card.

05/09/2026: The service was absolutely amazing and epic. Friendly, fast, efficient... cannot complain one bit about the staff. My issue was with the food. I ordered wings as a main and the wings were overly dry and lacking in any flavour. The rest of the party ordered the beef lasagna and that was utterly brilliant. It was voiced garlic bread with cheese would have been a better side than the chips. We requested chips as the side to each meal. Chips were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside lovely!

05/09/2026: The teach is famous in Carlow for consistently providing good service and meals with knowledgeable staff and skilled chefs. But the introduction of the specials board has shaken things up with new choices and delicious food. I had the ribeye steak with sauté mushrooms and onions, French fried onion in tempura batter, cherry tomatoes and a delicious Guinness and tarragon butter. The steak was mouth watering tender cooked perfectly and every month full was a joy. Thanks Teach we will be back.

22/08/2026: Good atmosphere, food was good with large portions and the pint of Guinness was creamy. Great spot and bigger than it looks with a big outdoor smoking area with tables.

14/08/2026: What a fabulous Bar, cozy, full of character, so welcoming. Staff were fabulous, Claude the owner made our visit to Ireland so special, he couldn't do enough for us!! He was so good with our young grand kids and made them feel at home very welcome! Can't recommend highly enough!!

20/08/2026: Such a lovely place for lunch! 🥰 Arán has a great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service. I especially recommend the Italian toast — absolutely delicious and full of flavour! 🇮🇹🥪. I’ll definitely be back! ❤️

19/08/2026: A must of you're visiting Kilkenny! If you're planning to eat in the bistro, we'd advise planning your time and booking ahead. On one side of the road is the bakery - so much choice and drinks too. All the pastries looked amazing! We are in the bistro - amazing chai latte and Korean Chicken Wraps...cannot recommend them highly enough - delicious!
