29/12/2025: The place is really cute and cosy, such a cosy spot to relax. The service was excellent, we felt very well looked after. The food is absolutely amazing! I loved the fish and chips, full of flavour, and the apple vinaigrette was such a lovely surprise — it went perfectly. The portion was generous and really satisfying.

03/03/2026: Hands down, one of the best meals I've had in Ireland! The food here is unexplainably amazing. What really makes this place special is the staff. Brenda and Atish are always so friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. This is such a damn good spot. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and go, you won't regret it! Highly recommend to everyone.

02/03/2026: Wow! What a night!! We celebrated my boyfriends 30th birthday at McGowan's. The staff were so good all night, and the atmosphere was electric. I was also there recently for the Six Nations so it's slowing turning into my new local. The food is unreal!

09/03/2026: Ate here yesterday with my wife and kids after it was recommended to us by friends and we have to say we were not disappointed. Starters, mains and dessert were all perfect. The Guinness accompanying it was great too. We experienced great service from every staff member who dealt with us We will be back again

28/02/2026: Starter was delicious, however, my main course of chicken wings were overcooked and my impression was that they were cooked hours before and reheated, then, they were covered in sauce. Although, I spoke to the server, there was no response. Very disappointed!

12/11/2025: Went here 3 times in the past never had a problem. Tried to go today with my 1 year old 2 friends and my partner. The waitress made me feel so unwelcome. Made me feel like it was an issue that I had a baby and a stroller. Felt really uncomfortable and embarrassed we ended up leaving after 5 minutes and not getting anything. Don’t treat young parents who are just trying to go out and enjoy themselves like that, I have just as much right as anyone to go into the restaurant. Wouldn’t go here again after that treatment. Shameful

28/11/2025: Best coffee both drinking and beans, they sell items you'll find hard to get elsewhere like Kerry hands made stem ginger and syrup, herbal tea, all manner of health foods, a big plus is they know what there talking about and it's so friendly the only downside is at certain times it's very busy.

01/01/2026: Underwhelmed Slow service, long wait, my lamb dish was very fatty. Didn't bother to stay for dessert and coffee Yes, it was New Year's Day But if you can't cope don't book so many tables.

The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and the overall experience. We’ll definitely be back and would happily recommend it to others.

14/10/2025: I visited Filo Caffe. I buy a sausage pie, a freddo espresso, and later took a ham and cheese croissant to go. Everything was excellent, both in taste and quality. The space is just right to make you feel comfortable and cozy , especially combined with the extremely polite and cheerful staff. There’s a wide variety of pastries, sandwiches, and sweets. And as I told you in person congratulations!

12/10/2025: Absolutely love Filo Café! Such a cozy and relaxed spot — perfect for coffee or a small bite. I tried the Ekmek Kataif and Bueno cake, both were super tasty and fresh. The coffee’s really good too — rich flavour and nicely done. Staff are super friendly and make you feel welcome. Great place to chill, catch up, or just take a break.

19/12/2025: Best coffee in Kilkenny, best food too! I love their seasonal ginger bread people, so cute and fun to call them a gingerbread person and they're delicious! The staff are so nice as well!

18/12/2025: Can someone explain to me what a gingerbread person is on the menu?? Is the lady that runs it called a personager? Fantastic food but come on now there is no need for that sillyness.
