20/08/2026: A very special gem of a pub that preserves the great Dublin model to a tee. Beautifully refurbished fittings and most comfortable banquet seating make this the perfect spot for a quiet afternoon (the Guinness is SUPERB here, at a competitive €6.00) or for a superb evening with the unique atmosphere strived for by the likes of myself. As one of my photo-shots show, the back offers a very surprisingly ample function room, pool table included: doubtless the scene for many family and community events over many years. Carla's the boss and she runs the place with a very charming personal touch as well as an obvious love - much deserved - for this utterly loveable pub.

20/06/2026: Really enjoyed my pizza from Dominos! The pizza was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. Definitely a reliable place when you’re craving good pizza. They were very polite, attentive, and ensured my order was handled perfectly. It’s always nice to see such excellent customer service. Highly recommend!

18/08/2026: My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Townhall, and it was a true gastronomic celebration! We ordered stuffed chicken, beef steak, seafood cocktail, and chocolate mousse — every dish looked like a work of art, so exquisite and prepared with love! And the taste exceeded all expectations — incredibly, incredibly delicious. A special thank you to our waitress Natalia for her attentiveness and professionalism. The service was fast, and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. Thank you for making our evening so special! We recommend it with all our hearts!

10/08/2026: Fantastic food, friendly and good humoured staff, professional and helpful, the history of this wonderful building is an added extra to a peaceful and relaxing break from a busy day and a busy Town centre.

06/09/2026: Let's start with the bad points - TOO MUCH CHOICE! seriously, I have a waistline to consider. Exceptional find this one. We nearly missed it when searching for a coffee shop on the motorcycle tour of the Wild Atlantic Way. The 4 of us had a coffee and 2 opted for cake and 2 for a miners pasty (like cornish, but not from Cornwall) Pasty was exceptional and the cakes went down a treat. Very friendly staff, all food baked onsite. I'm just disappointed that I won't get to go back here for some time. Wonderful place.

14/08/2026: We had dinner in Bodega tonight and it was absolutely gorgeous! We were originally going to go for the unlimited tapas, but decided to get 3 tapas each instead and honestly, it was more than plenty — we were stuffed! 😂 The food was amazing, everything we tried was full of flavour and the atmosphere was calm and chill with a great buzz about the place. The staff were lovely and the whole evening was really enjoyable. Definitely somewhere we’ll be going back to. Highly recommend!

11/09/2026: We had our Day 2 of our wedding in Mervyn’s yard From start to finish, everything was absolutely amazing. The staff were so friendly, attentive and helpful, and nothing was ever too much trouble. They really helped make the day so special for us and our families. The food was absolutely incredible too — everyone commented on how lovely everything was, and we couldn’t have asked for better. We really appreciate all the hard work that went on behind the scenes to make sure everything ran so smoothly. It was the perfect way to continue our wedding celebrations, and we will have such lovely memories of the day. Thank you again to all the team at The Central for making it such a special occasion for us. We genuinely couldn’t fault a thing! - Jason and Martin

04/09/2026: We had such a lovely evening for our Day 1 wedding celebrations at The Central. The food was great and plentiful, the music created such a great atmosphere, and we felt so well looked after throughout by Tara and the team. Everything was so easy and well organised, and our guests loved it too! Thank you again - we had such a lovely evening and would 100% recommend you!

25/07/2026: The rooms are great but better hope you don't stay here for the shuttle aspect of the hotel. Booked this place because they offered a shuttle 24 hours a day and needed to get to the airport early. It's not available if few people book it ahead of you and the staffs suggestion is a nice 'call a taxi'

24/07/2026: I would really love to give the hotel five stars for the very friendly and helpful staff, as well as the lovely room and good breakfast. However... there was no air conditioning in our room. The heat and the lack of proper ventilation made it difficult to sleep. Otherwise, though, it is a lovely hotel that deserves a recommendation.

25/08/2026: €12 for a take away sausage roll and oat cake. Too expensive for a small amount of food especially the oat cake which is just like a savoury scone.
