Poppy Fields Cafe

15/12/2025: Wonderful little cafe with warm service and delicious food. I had the French toast with bacon and thoroughly enjoyed it! I didn’t try them but the desserts at the counter also looked divine. Our server was very kind and attentive - would gladly recommend and go back!

06/06/2026: Stayed in downing Bay hotel along with 40+ other golfers on 4th June 2026 .. what a fabulous hotel very friendly and helpful staff nothing was any bother for them. Rooms were beautiful and spotlessly clean would highly recommend this to anyone looking a wee break away . Will definitely return

Hard to not be tempted by their delicious cakes and buns.
Warm friendly service.
Wish it was bigger but that’s part of the appeal too.
My fav coffee shop on Galway bar none.
28/11/2025: These guys know what they’re doing. Excellent latte that had no need for sugar or syrup. I even picked up a bag of the same beans used in their espresso. My wife tried their ube matcha and it was also delightful.

21/05/2026: Good service and good food. We ordered lasagna and pasta carbonara. We were lucky with the waiter as he spoke Spanish, which always makes it easier to know what you're ordering.
20/05/2026: Wow .. the staff are so friendly and the food very very good. The open canzone (pizza) was fresh and the crust airy light. The taste was so good. Highly recommend 👌.

06/06/2026: Went there last year several times. However, ignorant male staff member was rude and refused to turn on the sound for the Munster match when everybody was watching it. Most of us left at half time and haven't been back since.

12/06/2026: We had sunday lunch here a few weeks ago for my mothers 83rd birthday. The food was great and the service couldn't have been any better. The table wasn't needed after we finished the meal so we stayed for a few more drinks. Cost / Bill wasted bad and well worth it. The only small issue was the volume of the music for a lunch time.

16/05/2026: We had a delightful experience at the Kinsale Coffee Cafe. Our scones and latté were excellent, and the service and atmosphere wonderful. The location provides easy access from the docks. Should we go to Kinsale again, we would visit the Kinsale Coffee Cafe again.
08/05/2026: Friendly service, always a friendly chat. Great coffee and food during the day and lovely wine and pizza in the evening. What more can you ask for!

20/05/2026: We were hungry after a day of exploring, and this was one of the only late restaurants open. About 15 minutes before close, we went in, and the food was fantastic, as was the service. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone in Killarney!
10/05/2026: Please try the green curry. One of the best green curries available at multinational asian cuisine eateries. They dont skimp on the herbs in it like many others make the mistake of. Do not recommend the Pho. Pad thai and See yew decent for those who arent feeling adventurous. Let me substitute fried tofu instead of animal protein. Can be more plant based friendly!

01/03/2026: I’m still so confused why this is here along with the Conan O’Brien Air Pump!! Inside & outside in the plasma are large effigies to The Obama’s, which as a US Citizen, is kinda weird.
The weirdness won me over so we stayed, laughed & took pics to share “back home”!!
A great place to stretch your legs in the sun on the grass; reprieve from the roadways!!
