The best restaurants

18/07/2026: I was there for a group event. Food was amazing. Service was good. Atmosphere was very relaxed and child friendly in the area sectioned off for us.

27/06/2026: The staff at the blackrock organised a wonderful event for us this week. The finger food platters were excellent and the service was terrific. We were made to feel very welcome. Thank you all.

30/07/2026: The food is wonderful and the place is super clean and organized. Prices are as expected, but the counter staff judge your every word and look at you with mocking expressions, pretending to be kind, but you can feel the arrogance in their passive-aggressive tone. They give information but change their minds immediately, acting as if they own the establishment. I'll order delivery next time.

20/07/2026: Bad service, today around 4:40 am I went to Padoca and the attendant (I don't know her name but she had braids) didn't pay attention to my order, she gave me a plain bread instead of the ham and cheese bread I had ordered. And she even told me that if I wanted my original order I would have to order it again and pay for another one even though the mistake was hers. I didn't argue because it wasn't worth wasting time. It's very frustrating to eat something that isn't what you actually ordered and expected. I think this place could renovate its service by having people who pay attention to what the customer is ordering.

15/04/2026: Perfect sweet treat for a night out in Temple Bar! The staff was really kind and let us try a few flavors. Plenty of seating which was great!

30/05/2026: We had a fantastic time here! We arrived while horse racing was on and asked if they could switch the TV to MotoGP. They were more than happy to do it for us, which we really appreciated. The guy behind the bar was incredibly friendly and even spoke a little Spanish, which was a lovely surprise. The atmosphere was great, the locals were very welcoming, and there was a fantastic selection of beers at very reasonable prices. We had a brilliant afternoon watching the race and felt right at home. Highly recommended if you're looking for a friendly pub with great service and a warm atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

19/04/2026: We stumbled upon this pub completely by chance, and what a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere is very welcoming; we immediately felt at ease. And above all, a fantastic waiter: friendly, smiling, and genuinely interested in France. It was a pleasure chatting with him.

31/05/2026: Such a fantastic experience here, from my initial enquiry until leaving we met the most helpful, professional and friendly staff. Beautiful room right in the centre of the city with the Q Park (discounted) across the road - highly recommend.

02/08/2026: Sarah, is a full blown legend. Her smile brightened the whole shop, as you could see the smile through her eyes as well as her mouth too. She enhanced our experiences. The food was exquisite, selection immense and chai latte superb! I had the sausage and bacon bap. Holy good duck, that was a sausage and bacon bap. Ham and cheese toastie proved to be marvellous too. The special of peri peri chicken wrap was munched and devoured joyfully too. The millionaire shortbread may have been prepared by thw chocolate angels themselves. Perfection. I will happily return to this epic cafe, which was open on a Sunday for us Here 6 out of 5 stars

06/05/2026: One of just a few eateries open on a Tuesday evening during a slightly off peak season. The BR Bistro is easily accessible for a wheelchair and the owner/floor manager was most accommodating and helpful. This is a family run business and the owners serve on a 'front line' system. They obviously take great pride in their business and the eating experience reflects their dedication. The steak selection for the evening was fillet and for me, cooked precisely to my liking. Declining the chips option I was served tastily prepared baby potatoes as a side dish. Perfect! My wife's Prawn dish c/w Spanish chorizo was equally enjoyed. The husband and wife team were charming, friendly and very helpful. Our bill came came to €44 per person including drinks which we consider good value these days for excellent fare and proper, personal service. We chose this restaurant for the evening partly because of the limited choice available on the off peak season. We wish now that we'd have found it sooner. We'll be back to Carrick on Shannon in the future though and the BR Bistro will be our number 1 choice when dining out.

22/07/2026: The food is good but expensive. The portions used to be massive but recently they have been getting smaller and smaller which is disappointing for the same price. The atmosphere is nice but not suited for big groups. I came with 21 people and the seating was incredibly awkward with no space to get out and a pillar in the middle. The menu was very traditional Japanese.

10/07/2026: Had a really enjoyable meal at Kyodai on Eden Quay! The sushi was really good and fresh. The ramen was decent, though it didn't quite hit the same high standard as the sushi rolls. The restaurant has a nice, lively vibe to it. The service was standout—very good, quick, and attentive throughout our meal. Overall, it's a great spot in the city center and I definitely recommend checking them out!

24/05/2026: Absolutely lovely place, food was amazing, everyone at the table loved every bite. Gorgeous desserts that I've definitely got to try next time. And such a cool place with the loveliest staff big shout out to our lovely waitress Bernie so welcoming and professional. We will be back!
