The best restaurants

05/10/2025: The booking process at Brasserie on the Corner was smooth and hassle-free. They were very prompt in replying when I asked to move our reservation to an earlier time ,great customer service from the start. We arrived a bit early and waited briefly, which was totally fine. A gentleman ( believe his name was Rory), kindly guided us to our table. Our server, Neil, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating throughout. I had mentioned in advance that it was my daughter’s birthday, and when I reminded Neil, he didn’t miss a beat. They gave her a lovely surprise, complete with the team singing Happy Birthday and presenting a dessert beautifully plated with “Happy Birthday” written on it. It truly made the moment extra special. Huge thanks to Neil and the team! The food was absolutely delicious. We skipped the starters as we had eaten earlier at a café, but the mains were superb, cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The ambience was spot on,cozy and relaxing. I had requested a quiet, private table, and they granted that perfectly. Everything from service to food to atmosphere was just top-notch. I’m genuinely super impressed with this restaurant. 😍👌 Highly recommended for special occasions or just a quality dining experience in Galway!

22/09/2025: Do yourself a favour and make sure you go to Swans for a drink. By far, the best pub around! I have been going to Swans for years now and it never fails to be a great night out, or daytime drink. The staff are always really friendly, helpful and up for a laugh. We have also had multiple family parties in their function room and it's always been a success. Paddy and the team are really supportive with the event planning and always on hand or contactable to provide any vendor recommendations or support needed.

22/09/2025: Best in the business, prob best pub / venue in the country, amazing atmosphere, music , staff can’t do enough, won’t leave you stuck for anything! Highly recommend! A night to remember!

06/09/2025: I would prefer to give zero, the kebab is inedible and the sauce is so hot that I get hiccups and my friend has difficulty breathing

21/10/2025: Came to have a pint and listen to tradition music but we're disappointed to find that the upstairs was full and it wasn't made clear online that the trad music was only certain times so we missed the show

17/09/2025: Great for some trad live music but have to get there early. Couldn’t even enter on Saturday but luckily got there early Sunday to get a spot.

25/09/2025: Unbelievable pizza but the tatties steal the show, absolutely delicious!!

18/09/2025: We had Deanos wood fired pizza truck to celebrate work anniversary.Pizzas were amazing and staff were very quick too making them for over 40 people.Special sauce and chillie honey were class.

07/09/2025: I absolutely love this pub. Just back after two nights in Galway. I spent both evenings here. I had to get back since my last visit at Christmas 2023. Michael was his brilliant and usual welcoming self as was Fiona. They found time to chat as busy as they were with myself and my wife. If I could live there, this really would be my local. 07/10/2025: I ordered tea, my friends ordered coffee, and I loved the way the girls made it. They looked super cute, like professionals. They were also very friendly, and I loved it.

04/10/2025: The focaccia they make for lunch are great! Either in sandwich format or by slice. Cakes and pastries are also very good!

26/09/2025: Highly recommended, got a Small breakfast and bagel with coffees. Could not fault the food and good value.

24/09/2025: If you're going to Cork and want to eat reasonably well, homemade, and cheap, this place is a must. The owner makes everything, both the food and the service. Plus, there are only a few tables and it's usually full at lunchtime. We liked it quite a bit. We had to wait a bit, but nothing excessive.

17/09/2025: The food was A1 and arrived in a timely fashion. The staff weren't unpleasant, but seemed a lil flat or seemed unhappy to be there.

28/09/2025: We had a wonderful meal on Sunday afternoon at Hemingway’s in Clontarf. The food was delicious, and the service was amazing. Our server, Bogdan, was nothing less than fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant and this server. It was a great way to top off our first day in Ireland.

10/10/2025: The gelato is quite good if you choose the whiskey or other liqueur flavors, as the others are bland and a bit washed out. They're nothing like Italian gelato, and considering that a small gelato with two tiny scoops costs €6.50.

07/10/2025: Called in on Saturday evening with friends and had a wonderful time. Pints were fresh and tasty. Service was brilliant. Smashing pub!

10/09/2025: Cute B&B and excellent location. Bar was super cute and food was delicious. However the room was FULL of mold. I got super sick during our 2 nights here. I’m also allergic to mold so anyone traveling with mold sensitivities beware and find a different spot for your stay. We had to keep both windows open throughout the night so I could breathe, but the noise outside kept my partner up.

06/09/2025: We ate after lunch at Blarney Castle and the place is a beautiful tavern that is worth eating at.

07/10/2025: We came in Sunday evening. There was a live music. Place was half empty. Everything was ok, food was good.

05/10/2025: We really enjoyed our visit, here. The menu was very similar to most of the pubs in the area. We enjoyed the live music.

23/09/2025: Fab place for food, we called just before serving stopped but we're made welcome. We had a great meal and the staff were great 👍.
