The best restaurants

26/11/2025: What’s to say really. Very popular pub opposite the National gallery in Dublin. Lovely helpful greeting upon entering. Nice table in the bar (it also has a lounge section with lower tables and chairs). Nice menu and not the tourist prices. I had the most delicious Irish stew and the obligatory Guinness. Service was quick and polite. It emptied out very quickly after 2pm and I was virtually alone in the bar. If your passing pop in for a friendly pint and some excellent food.

25/11/2025: Service was excellent and so welcoming. Food was fantastic (steak and Guinness pie). Guinness also very good so enjoyed a few of those.

26/11/2025: Great beer selection, they have a wheel if you can't make up your mind. Especially for me, the fact they have two sours on tap cannot be overstated! Lovely service as well, will come back.

14/11/2025: I booked last minute for a table for my family (two adults and two young children). On arrival the staff were so lovely and welcomed both us and the kids! They had a high chair ready should we need one. The atmosphere was so friendly and joyful. We never felt under pressure to curtail the kids, but they were surprisingly quiet and well behaved. The staff were all amazing. And the food was next level amazing! Even my two year old daughter who eats very little sat with her eyes closed chewing some pork saying it was “melicious”. Overall it was an amazing, calm and enjoyable family meal and we will most definitely return ❤️ thank you ❤️❤️❤️

12/11/2025: Second time here, both upstairs and downstairs are very recommended. Different flavour combinations then you see in most other places in galway and or ireland. Very much Recommended

08/11/2025: I had a beautiful gluten free pasta dish in Osteria de Simone. The helpful staff explained that almost all dishes could be made gluten free. They would use gluten free penne pasta for the dish. I ordered Mare e Monte and it was gorgeous. Prawns and mushrooms in a creamy parmesan sauce. A gluten free sign was in the dish to ensure that the correct dish went to the correct person. Great for a coeliac to see care like that taken. Thank you!

02/12/2025: The coffee is exceptional! The customer service is lovely and attentive but not intrusive. The brioche is the stuff of pillowy indulgent dreams. It is a real neighbourhood place, I wish this was my neighbourhood!

21/10/2025: Came to have a pint and listen to tradition music but we're disappointed to find that the upstairs was full and it wasn't made clear online that the trad music was only certain times so we missed the show

17/09/2025: Great for some trad live music but have to get there early. Couldn’t even enter on Saturday but luckily got there early Sunday to get a spot.

01/12/2025: A cozy pub with a colorful atmosphere. But... the food has its drawbacks, like the loaded fries(in the photo)....It's not tasty!!!....The Caesar salad was edible)) And also,.... it wouldn't hurt to clean up the women's restroom. It's dirty....

17/11/2025: Everything is delicious. The chefs aren't afraid of spices and their flavor is fantastic. This is my first order and certainly won't be my last. A highly recommended place for a party; everything is prepared perfectly, from A to Z. Definitely come Back for sandwich with chicken

04/11/2025: Karen’s Diner has now closed in Dublin but fear not, you can come here instead! Ask for just coffees, and you’ll hardly be tolerated by the staff, even if the place is quiet! We were told AFTER paying that we could only sit and drink our coffees for 20 minutes (despite there being two available 2-person tables) and we were reminded to leave after 10 minutes. Decided to give it 2 stars instead of 1 star because at least the coffee is decent.

11/11/2025: Amazing pastries and the best cappuccino I've had!

21/11/2025: I thought that the sticky toffee pudding would save an otherwise very average meal but even that was dry and lacked flavour (although the banana ice cream was delicious). Seated right next to the door meant it was very cold and my food got cold very quickly because of the constant draft from opening and closing. Not sure it's worth the high prices but service was good and the Christmas decorations added a nice, festive atmosphere. Packed on a Thursday evening.

20/11/2025: Great food, service was quick and some of the staff are super nice. Others made us feel 'unwanted' rushing us and asking us to return the table half an hour before it was due.
