The best restaurants

10/09/2026: It wasn't a busy time, and we enjoyed the place almost entirely to ourselves. Very interesting, and you can tell it's a local institution!

20/05/2026: What a wonderful experience at Monks, beautiful place right on the water, dinner and breakfast excellent, Colette went above and beyond to ensure our stay was 5 stars, would highly recommend and we will definitely be back Deirdre Daly San Francisco

14/05/2026: Colette and the entire team at Monks were kind, welcoming, and friendly. The hotel appeared updated and was comfortable. The restaurant served a great fish pie and some delicious salty oysters.

05/09/2026: A gem! Jimmy is great and they made us feel most welcome. The food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is lovely. We would come back in a heartbeat!

04/09/2026: This is a little jewel that will surprise you palette with every mouthful! We were in Westport for the afternoon and i had remembered looking at this venue when voila ! We were standing in front of it and said lets see if they have a table..and by amazing chance the fitted us in. Relaxed atmosphere with super staff and a must go to place if you are within 50km it will be worth the drive in fact its worth a one night stay for the experience. Chapeau chef ! Simple ingredients cooked with passion. Thank you and look forward to our revisit Make sure you book ahead.

11/09/2026: Well worth a visit, make sure you book though. Food was amazing, we had the seafood chowder which was delicious and lamb shank that melted off the bone. Really good portion sizes and would go back every night.

10/09/2026: Host was great! He pointed us to a pub with live music since the scheduled musician was sick.

30/08/2026: Had a fantastic time here, food was incredible and the staff were so sound. Amazing spot in Waterford city!

19/07/2026: Lovely bar,lot of tourists not even drinking,service very good,music so good atmosphere hard to get a seat !! Didn't like the Guinness but that could be just me.Anyway stayed until closing drinking cider so they doing something right !!!

19/07/2026: Great pint! It's very busy with truck loads of tourists coming in every hour, but still a lovely place with nice staff!

20/09/2026: There is always a line out the door but, the staff is always great, free samples until you've made up your mind, and the flavors are unique. We had the Dingle seasalt, espresso Martini, and the whiskey one.

19/09/2026: Wonderful, creamy quality ice cream and delightful service. A big thank you to Neasa, Elizabeth and Zoe. The honeycomb caramel and chocolate was delicious.

12/09/2026: These lads don't skimp on their food. Run of the mill chipper food but they go X2 on their portions

06/09/2026: Unbelievable food, first time I had their kebabs and I will only go here from now on. Service was unreal and everyone was so kind.

22/09/2026: I tried my food at chopsticks in this evening i have really impressed by their service and their food and more importantly staff was being soo nice and humble his name was siva 😇 one of the nicest person i have ever met ✌🏻mainly i recommend chopsticks strongly for their food😇i love food and the team members

18/09/2026: Great Food, hot piping serving everytime. Its a halal offering across the menu. Grate taste. The staff is very welcoming and polite. Best grab and go options if you are travelling on N7 west bound.

20/07/2026: We had an excellent experience here. The staff are very friendly and inviting. When we arrive they helped with our bags and brought everything to the room l. John the Bellman was excellent. Very friendly and full of great conversation. Food in the restaurant was very good as well.

07/07/2026: 4 stars bc everything was nice except shower filled up on feet, but nice rooms. rude server at restaurant but also had a nice one. & front desk staff were fabulous, location felt safe but still had to walk a lot.

13/09/2026: The waitresses sure make you feel like its an inconvenience that you're eating there. Waited 20 mins at the table before even getting offered a drink (wasn't that busy either). The waiter that eventually served us was great, but other than that, very meh. Stop for a drink and move along.

10/08/2026: Got a coffee with their butterscotch syrup, very tasty and well made and the girls serving me were lovely

22/09/2026: A very nice pub with a large selection of beers and whiskeys. Live music on the first floor, so you can easily have a conversation downstairs.

07/09/2026: Lovely garden centre with great parking facilities and a lovely cafe. The food here is amazing and the staff are very friendly, very reasonable priced would highly recommend visiting here
