The best restaurants

24/11/2025: Popped in here on a whim and was so happy I did! The food was absolutely amazing as was the service. The Galway oysters were some of the best I’ve had and the scallops were so good, I was sad when they finished. Will definitely be revisiting.

22/11/2025: Drove past the establishment so many times over the past years, and I finally stopped for a breakfast. I never knew what I was missing all these years. The portion was good, the brekkie was tasty and yummy, one of the best I've had in Ireland. Small, cozy space, freshly made with love and attention. Lots of folks having their breakfast here. The breakfast menu has great options, from pancakes to french toast and scrambled eggs with avocado. Great service, all round a good experience. Thanks guys... I'll deffo be back

Congratulations to the Church Restaurant, what an amazing lunch today…you are a credit to your local community and a wonderful restaurant to visit in Skibbereen

07/12/2025: It was my dad's 68th birthday yesterday, and we had lunch here. The welcome we received and how nice the staff were really made my dad's day, and mine. The waiting staff also brought out a cake and sang happy birthday, which they did by themselves without request. Amazing, thank you so much to the happy cup team 😀 (the food was great too)

07/11/2025: I was hungry and wanted a basic breakfast. Liberty Grill was busy but they had a nice table available by the window. I ordered scrambled eggs with sourdough bread and tea. The eggs were good, the sourdough bread was nice with some butter and the tea was amazing. The service was great and quick. The tea was brought to me right away. The food took a little while to arrive but drinking the tea by itself was nice. The music being played was soul and R&B not to soft and not too loud just right to enjoy my food. I will definitely come back for more food here.

17/11/2025: My wife organised a birthday dinner for me at Trocadero and I could not recommend the restaurant any higher. It was fantastic from start to finish. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. The wine was reasonably priced and the whole meal went perfect. Great value and expereince

15/11/2025: A very pleasant time at the Trocadéro. Beautifully decorated with a 1900s ambiance. The food was very good! A little too salty at times. And the service was impeccable!

04/07/2025: This is a great coffee shop with the best coffee and pastries ever. The owner is amazing guy and very friendly and helpful as we talked to him about things to see in the area. Love the ambience and vibe and food and drink.

28/07/2025: This cafe was amazing! My partner and I had the best oat milk latte and Mocha along with a delicious apple turnover (vegan)! They had a huge selection of on the menu of sandwiches, pizzas and sweet treats it was hard to pick just one thing so we took a few things away with us for home later. The staff were so lovely and helpful and overall it was just such a pleasant experience I can’t wait to go back!

24/07/2025: This place is a real gem! Delicious salads, sandwiches and meat and cheese boards (I’m looking at you gluten free folks) in a welcoming, clean, non-ostentatious environment. Because it’s a bakery everything is incredibly fresh! Oh and the baked goods are delicious.
