The Grill Shack
05/04/2025: Niamh was our server today. She was absolutely brilliant. In fact all the staff are brilliant that served us. Aiden is a master in the kitchen. Wish we lived closer so we could come here more often. You are made to feel welcome from the minute you walk through the door by Kilian and the food is 10 out of 10.
28/03/2025: Been here a few times and it is consistently very good! We’ve sat in a few times, but we usually collect food for takeaway. Both are very good and the staff are always friendly

The customer service was amazing and for sure we will back again.
Nice to know we have a such good restaurant in Galway with vegetarian and non vegetarian options.

02/04/2025: My husband and myself dined this evening 5.00.for dinner and was very impressed the staff were very friendly and welcoming,the food delicious and service wonderful we were staying at Farnham Estate for a couple of days and had checked out here before we arrived and would recommend it to anyone x Not forgetting the decor loved it 💛🧡🩷
25/03/2025: My husband and I came to Cavan for a couple of days and ate here each evening as the food was so good! As a coeliac I had a huge choice in all courses, which is so rare. The food was absolutely top class and the service was amazing! Future trips will be planned to Cavan just to eat here again!

08/04/2025: The Kingfisher is a fantastic place to stay while in Dublin!! In a great location with many of the tourist attractions accessible by foot. There is a Tesco and Lidl close by and public transport right outside. The room was impeccably clean and Gillian and Malcolm provide tea, coffee and some cookies upon your arrival. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

16/02/2025: En una tarde húmeda y fresca El Jardín Secreto fue un lugar inesperado de refugio y refresco al final de un fin de semana.
La bienvenida era cálida, incluso para nuestro perro, y el espacio estaba disponible en el "jardín secreto" cubierto. Los asientos interiores también incluían un espacio informal relajado y a juzgar por los otros visitantes con su material de lectura, esto también es favorito entre los lugareños.
Hay una increíble variedad de sabores de té y el curry de guisante era justo lo que se necesitaba.
Muy recomendable, con o sin perro o hijo!

09/03/2025: We had a lovely experience yesterday on on International Women’s Day. The drinks were good, but the food was absolutely amazing.
The seafood platter is a must, Seafood risotto was a bit too much al dente for my taste, but it was very good as well.
I wish they had Dirty Martini in the cocktail menu.
The kids meal is huge, but we brought home anyway., so it was a win.

05/04/2025: I love Scholars. It’s a wonderful experience. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic. Highly recommend going there for a meal. The rooms are comfortable but a little basic though.
01/04/2025: It's a hard line to draw between eclectic decor and cluttered spaces. I think the public areas in the hotel are wonderful and someone has obviously put a lot of thought into them. It's a great base from which to explore the Boyne Valley, Battle of the Boyne Museum, Newgrange and the other burial sites nearby. Staff cannot be faulted - wonderful welcome, wonderful service in the restaurant. Could not have felt more at home with them.

11/04/2025: Gavin is a true artist with his bartending knowledge and skill. Great conversation with Gavin, and Kate. The best, and most unique cocktails that my husband and I have experienced and tasted in quite some time. Very impressed. A beautiful, and special kind of place. Very clean, cozy, and unique vibe. A must visit while in Dublin if you love speakeasy type bars with truly unique cocktail combinations with a cool atmosphere without crowds of tourists.

McDermott's Pub
14/04/2025: What a wonderful pub with great food and atmosphere. The special open face salmon sandwich with brown bread and a salad was excellent. Top it off with a pint of Guinness, and their warm chocolate granache will make for an excellent lunch. Thank you to the staff.
13/04/2025: This has been my favourite pub since visiting Ireland. The staff were amazing! I arrived on a very busy night for dinner, they found me a seat with a smile. My food arrived in record time and it was so good. It's a small place with lots of character, most of the patrons were locals. Highly recommended this pub if you're in Doolin.

20/02/2025: Nice little coffee shop, not a big fan of their black coffee as it lacks strength and earthy taste 4/5 for me. However missus was very happy with her matcha latte 6/5 she said. I tried it and it was very good. I kinda miss the little rose petal they put on it though haha
