07/06/2025: Stopped in for a bite after visiting the Ennis Friary. Delicious food, friendly staff, and nice pub atmosphere. Was recommended the lasagna special and have no regrets!
07/06/2025: Fab food , ordered curry was so tasty , I did ask for 1/2 & 1/2 rice and chips but was told chips would be extra .
Rack of ribs was also ordered these were massive so bring your appetite and very tasty .
The staff were pleasant and efficient.
The day was wet , but it was a little chilly..
Def will return .

03/06/2025: Didn't have a reservation and was told it would be a 15 minute wait and to go to the bar, wanted to give a name but they said they'd remember us. Forgot about us and waited over an hour.
Bar lively with locals.
Variety of dishes. Raw oysters plate with fresh local fare was delicious. Nice rack of lamb, and a brief Bartlett, good portions.
03/06/2025: Menu needs a bit of work TBH. Fish platter too big. Staff lovely and lovely old fashioned vibe. Very friendly. Enjoyed our night and a couple of drinks in the bar.

27/05/2025: We ate here twice during our vacation. Everything, absolutely everything, was perfect. Service, taste, and value for money. The portions were also more than adequate. We would be happy to come back. We can't comment on the rooms. We had other accommodations.
23/05/2025: Review is for restaurant only as we did not stay at the hotel.
We ordered two meat based dishes which tasted fine and were presented nicely however both meats were over cooked and dry far beyond the point of enjoyment (chicken and pork both with textures resembling over-microwaved leftover dry ribs). We had far greater expectations as our meals were more than double the cost of anything we have had yet on our Ireland trip however this was easily our least enjoyable meal and only negative dining experience thus far.
Wait times were long which is understandable due to it being a busy Friday night however the abundance and location were nice.

04/06/2025: Really excellent seafood restaurant. 5 friends went for a birthday lunch and we were all impressed by the cooking, presentation and staff. Front of house was as good as anywhere I have been. Highly recommended.
24/05/2025: My wife and I just had dinner here. We didn't have a reservation but walked in at 1800, and we were told that if we could be done with the table by 2000, they could accommodate us.
The dinner was excellent, the staff were super friendly, and we were out by 1940.
Highly recommend this place but do have a reservation to make it easier on you and the staff.

15/05/2025: Everything was excellent—the food, the spacious , the reasonable prices, and the convenient location. The dishes were flavorful, and even the small plate I ordered was surprisingly generous, offering more than enough for a satisfying lunch. While my experience was largely positive, I would have given a five-star rating if the atmosphere and overall vibe had been more lively.

13/06/2025: Last time I was in the Stonechat restaurant was exactly 10 years ago l enjoyed it that much it was my first port of call this time.
The food was absolutely fantastic as usual it never disappoints. The staff couldn't do enough to help, Viola was a really friendly girl who took time to chat and nothing was too much bother for her. We even got to meet Roger the owner of the Stonechat for the past 25 years a credit to him and his staff. Thanks again and we can't wait to come back. So if you're in Killarney don't miss out on great food and a lovely friendly welcome and great food at the Stonechat.

08/06/2025: Kingfisher is one of those no-frills spots that totally hits the spot when you’re craving something simple and satisfying. The place is clean and neatly kept, with a kind of old-school charm. Nothing fancy, but it doesn’t need to be.
Service is quick, prices are super affordable, and the food feels like comfort on a plate. The potato wedges and prawn cocktail are fan favorites for a reason — definitely worth trying. And if you’ve got room after your meal, grab some jelly or ice cream to finish it off. Great little spot for a low-key bite!

02/06/2025: Went to this place for the first time today. Ordered a flat white, but it came out very milky.
I politely asked the young lad at the counter if it could be remade with less milk, as a proper flat white should be. He seemed confident it would turn out the same, and that became a super uncomfortable situation, but still I simply asked for less milk and that should fix it and finally he heard me.
When my new coffee was ready, the person who remade it poured in such a small amount of milk that it felt like they were taking the “mick”.
It was a really unpleasant experience. All I wanted was a proper flat white — nothing complicated.

Very good food and refined recipes.
Reservations are required (well) in advance.
On the other hand, it's quite expensive.
