01/06/2025: We walked past this café and saw gluten free options in the window and decided to stop. Well worth it. Seating upstairs is cozy and comfortable. Our coffees and pastries were served shortly after we ordered. Wifi worked great.

21/05/2025: Visited here around 9am for breakfast on a weekday! Staff were friendly and welcoming, had great coffee and food was great. Quite a small cafe so there can be a wait for tables, but it’s worth it!

02/06/2025: The Pear Tree Cafe was a great starting point for a weekend stroll along the Salt Hill boardwalk. Recommend the breakfast toasts. The latte was good. The flat white could have been more refined. Other than that, the patio seemed large for sunnier days.

07/05/2025: The best Italian Cuisine Tralee has to offer the taste is so authentic that you wonder are you eating in Toscany or are you eating in Tralee Co Kerry. The food is so flavourful,the place is so clean so service is amazing and the prices are affordable not like some other places that you get charged an arm and a leg for a handful of pasta. The waitresses are so helpful and so friendly and that’s a big plus because it makes you feel so welcomed. If there are more Stars than 5 here I’ll definitely give it. Thank you for an amazing Dinner & Service we will definitely be back and spread our amazing experience in Il Pomodoro.

10/05/2025: My husband and I decided to have a lovely Friday dinner in Kilkenny, driving all the way from Dublin for the occasion. After a quick search, Google recommended "Rive Gauche Restaurant", and we’re so glad we took the suggestion! Even though we didn’t have a reservation, the staff kindly seated us at a lovely table. The menu was full of delicious French classics, and I was excited to introduce my husband to proper French cuisine. I ordered the "Coq au Vin" for him and the "Coquille St. Jacques"for myself, along with a "Baileys coffee" to enjoy with our meal. The food was absolutely delicious that my husband happily finished both our plates since I was too full to finish mine. The Baileys coffee was a delightful accompaniment, and the service was impeccable and friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Rive Gauche to anyone looking for authentic French food in a charming setting. We’ll definitely come back!

01/05/2025: On a recent birthday trip we went torive gauche we had a really nice meal .I had scallops and prawns it was fab.my husband had hake both delicious.i also had a cocktail or two really nice.our server was a lovely girl from Bulgaria called Michaela she was very good at her job so friendly.she spoke to us like she knew us before when we next in kilkenny we will go there again.the atmosphere was great also.it was so worth it to go there.

30/05/2025: Lovely place to have some authentic Italian food and drinks, got great help from the waitress with the menu choices, very friendly and lovely waitress. We shared the Lazy Platter between 2 of us and it was delicious, highly recommend to try it. A mix of hot and cold food, a selection of almost all of their menu including a basket of bread. Followed by a Tiramisu and coffee for dessert. Will definitely return. Excellent value for money.

29/05/2025: Having an hour to kill before a gig, we went to Sfuso for a glass of wine. We had heard high praises about it, and it didn't disappoint! We felt like tourists in Italy, truly authentic vibe. After half an hour, we had to try their fantastic meat and cheese platter, even though we had dinner not long ago. Food, wine and people were a delight, we'll be back for a proper dinner! Highly recommended

06/06/2025: We were here last year while on a trip to Ireland and I should have written this review sooner, but I just wanted to say we really enjoyed their gluten free fish & chips and cottage pie! Yum! Also the atmosphere here was very nice and just what you'd expect from a proper old time Irish pub.

03/06/2025: Celebrated our Dad's birthday here over the bank holiday weekend and the service was amazing throughout. Our server Alvin was really attentive and really added to our experience. Food was top class and I would highly recommend for catching up with friends or celebrating something special. Lovely atmosphere and suits all needs.

01/06/2025: I have been ordering and dining here for. Any years, however this afternoon I ordered food and a cocktail, the cocktail '' woo woo " was €10 on the menu however when we went to pay they charged us €11 each for the woo woo's, the server insisted it was €11 and checked a menu to prove it, when I stated our menu said it was €10 he went on to say how prices have increased, this was not addressing why our menus said it was €10, I felt like a fool that we were being made out to be liars, quite dissapointing I won't be dining in again unfortunately, perhaps check your menus and ensure consistency and don't insinuate your customers are dishonest.

11/06/2025: The maître d was extraordinarily welcoming. Loved how quirky the inside was with the baseball caps on the ceiling 🤪 Food served in a timely manner and was very hot. Reccomend asking customers what type of sauce they would like as opposed to providing a seafood sauce. None the less the atmosphere would be conducive to a revisit plus such a lovely outside view from this establishment.
