The best restaurants

25/03/2026: Their food is always good. A 3 in 1 may seem to many to be a simple dish, trust me it is not. Theirs is always top notch.

11/04/2026: We took a group of 12 seniors down there yesterday it didn't make a difference if you had allergies was diabetic etc they had no intentions of helping all l wanted was a toasted chicken sandwich and chips l was told no (l couldn't eat what they had on the menu) the manager's were very rude and the reason they gave was they would have to slice a portion of chicken to make the sandwich l had no problem paying for the portion then they would not take bills individually they put it all together so we had to sit down and total up what each person owed it was a joke never in life will we go back there not just this group but our families also l have family living in Killarney and they used to go there all the time never again the 2 managers are horrible MEN??

07/04/2026: Pub atmosphere. Generous portions.

06/04/2026: Went here as a party of 3 for Sunday lunch. It was very busy so they took our details and said they should have a table in 20 mins. We did a little walk around the harbour and about 10 mins later my phone rang and our table was ready. Even though it was 12.15pm, and breakfast ended at 12pm, I was still able to get the scramblers and bacon which was fab. We also ordered the eggs benny and mini breakfast. 3 meals, 2 coffees and a softdrink later, the bill was €55 and we were full and happy!

26/03/2026: The food is usually excellent, but this morning my scrambled eggs were overcooked, unseasoned and served cold. So disappointing! Not sure what happened, but would make another attempt, based on previous positive experiences.

28/12/2025: A magical enclave. There are jars and jars of teas to choose from, a selection of pastries that are as beautiful as they are delicious, and cosy seating that includes floor tables and cushions. I wish I had more time in Galway; this would be my poetry writing hideaway.

26/12/2025: Beautiful tea and coffees here as well as being such a place to meet people to chat. Amazing staff and sweet baked goods too.

20/03/2026: My cousin and I are on a road trip around Ireland. Our B&B host recommended this joint & it wins hands down. Even though the place was packed , tables were turned around quickly, staff were lovely & very attentive. Before I had my second sip of my beer, our meals were out - delicious and massive at a great price. Customer service was amazing & bar staff were pretty good looking. You know your in a good place when it's packed with the locals. Highly recommend!! Alyce 🇦🇺🦘

18/03/2026: Beautiful Food and plentiful. Accommodated 8 of us on a very busy day (( St Patrick's Day) no prob , despir the place being very busy and packed . Food service very quick and lovely and hot and fresh

21/03/2026: The best pub in this little town. Atmosphere and live music was great and the workers/owner are all so lovely and welcoming, they also do good cocktails which pleasantly surprised us as its got such a traditional Irish pub feel.

31/03/2026: Scanlons is the only place we will stop when we are heading to or from Dublin , The food is ALWAYS amazing , The staff are one nicer than the other , Even on the busiest of days we have always managed to be seated as quick as possible . Trevor & all the team run an amazing business & it just keeps getting better & better .

29/11/2025: Staff are friendly, coffee is delicious😊 Skip the line at the first “fancy” coffee shop as you enter American boarding gates and go on down to DUBH!!

15/11/2025: The staff was so rude, I was in line just trying to order Guinness, there was no line. I was following the previous customers. I got to the line, she was so rude first of all, that’s not Irish I know. she was not going to serve me. I carried on. I thanked her, I am not going to spend money on a rude cashier.

23/11/2025: Fish and chips is excellent from here really enjoyed them. We were watching dolphins playing in the estuary while we ate.

21/04/2026: The food is for connoisseurs and the service is next level! Our waiter Sylvain was an absolute gentleman and incredibly attentive and quick. The manager also works on the floor and supports his team; also very helpful and professional. The tastiest meal in a while. Nice, well-organized wine list with imported bottles that pair perfectly with their meat. Boutique atmosphere. Probably my new favorite restaurant in Dublin. Bravo!

21/04/2026: The Sunday Roast was incredible. The meat cooked to perfection; tender, juicy and incredible flavor. All the accompaniments were skillfully prepared; they were not an afterthought, but certainly each played a role. Strong selection of drinks. My friends tried their old fashion; from the presentation, everything was executed meticulously. I would highly recommend it; make sure you make a reservation in advance.

14/04/2026: My family and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Golden Elephant this week. Authentic, flavoursome, Thai cuisine, with very generous portions. Very pleasant ambience. I couldn't speak more highly of the friendly, attentive staff, who couldn't do enough for us.

14/12/2025: Small but imitate. Great atmosphere, service and food. Freshly made tacos and tortilla chips. Highly recommend. Very reasonably priced. Only alcoholic drinks are beer and wine so if happy with that I would recommend for dinner.
