The best restaurants

08/06/2025: I came hungry to the Market expecting a bulgogi burrito, but they were closed. I hesitated to switch to Indian, thinking you can get Indian anywhere; but to my pleasant surprise, this isn't your standard Indian place. I got the chicken curry. They fried the chicken, so it was a bit like a chicken nugget curry. The sauce had a nice tomato aroma. The waitresses were all very sweet. Apparently the water at the market is bad, so you have to buy bottled water. (Apparently it's still fine to cook with?)

08/06/2025: Honestly, one of the best meals I’ve had in months - maybe ever. We dove into a slow-cooked beef dish that was absolutely out of this world, paired with a Paneer Makhani so rich and velvety it deserves its own spotlight. Homemade cheese in a lush cashew curry. Perfectly flaky bread and colorful fragrant rice… pure magic on a plate. The owners are very welcoming and knowledgeable, and the place is simple & cozy. Vegeterian and gluten-free options are included in the menu. We honestly couldn’t stop eating - or talking about how insanely good everything was. We already planned our next visit! It's walk-in only, but the staff will make sure to find a place for you asap. We were only two and we didn't wait at all. Tucked away in Blackrock Market, this place is a true hidden gem. Go before everyone else finds out.

11/05/2025: Disappointed by the service here. I asked for a takeaway and was abruptly told I’d need to buy a reusable cup — despite a sign clearly stating takeaway is available. The owner, an older man, was rude and dismissive, complaining that people litter with paper cups. I’m not “everyone” — I came in to support a local business, not be lectured or treated poorly. There’s a big difference between being environmentally conscious and being condescending to paying customers. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

04/05/2025: Best coffee in all of Killarney. Alan Oliver super GAA fan, is the best owner in town. Must visit! Great outdoor seating!

04/06/2025: The cafe is small and sweet. There isn’t a huge amount of seating which is the only downside. The waitress that served me was lovely and the food was delicious (it also came really fast). I highly recommend 😁

13/05/2025: Whenever I'm around Bray I always try and stop to grab a bite from here. Such an amazing little gem, the crepes are exactly like the ones I've had in Normandy and Brittany. The staff are so friendly and welcoming also! It's a small kitchen and it seems only one person cooks at a time so if it's busy prepare for a small wait but it's absolutely worth it, especially with such reasonable prices.

24/05/2025: Molly's is the place for an amazing coffee. Staff are so friendly and Molly is the centre piece.

12/04/2025: Lovely tasting coffee, milk was very velvety and the coffee was beautifully crafted and made to a lovely temperature that it was fresh and warm but not too hot which alot of places actually make they're coffee's too hot. Lovely chilled atmosphere inside even on a cold night. Staff were very friendly.

01/06/2025: Great wine selection, also did a good dirty martini. Food was also fantastic, we shared a starter and had a main each. Really good value

20/05/2025: Had dinner here last Saturday with some friends and we had such a good time! A super friendly lady on the ground floor took care of us. Service was great and the food was delicious. Definitely recommending this place and we’ll be back for sure!

02/05/2025: 2 salads bought, ingredients fresh and tasty, complimented by some lovely fresh brown bread! Service on point, very busy but all well handled… now understand why there was a queue, will be returning on any future visit and would highly recommend!
