The best restaurants

25/08/2026: Very kind and professional reception desk. Rooms spacious and well appointed to include US and Continental style electric outlets. Restaurant under construction but dining still available and food was excellent. We would enjoy staying here again.

29/07/2026: We had a good stay, except for the absolute nightmare of a server at breakfast who was very rude to our group. We had a large group and they were absolutely not prepared to handle a large order. She yelled, spoke very rudely, and made unnecessary comments about how we should not be ordering from the main menu, which no one told us about before we were seated. The food for very good and rooms were comfortable, but the breakfast from hell left us with a bit of a bad taste in the end. I hope they are more upfront next time about expectations and management of larger groups.

09/09/2026: It was very packed when we were there at dinner hour. We had stir-fried squid, steamed whole sea bass, and seafood noodles. Surprisingly, the sea bass was still cooked in the traditional Chinese style but deboned, which made it much easier to eat. The food tasted good, and the servers were highly efficient.

05/09/2026: We had crispy duck and stir fried noodle special. Everything was excellent!

18/09/2026: The food was good and great presentation, although it was more expensive than expected. We didn’t have to wait long, and the staff were nice and friendly. The restaurant is quite small, though, and it can get busy and loud. Our table with stools wasn’t particularly comfortable, and the space felt quite tight.

11/09/2026: Amazing experience for my partner’s 30th birthday! Well looked after, our waitress was unreal (sorry I don’t know her name but she was a queen) - if we lived in Dublin would be back in a heartbeat. Thank you!!

08/09/2026: Excellent food. Everything was fresh and delicious. The parmesan fries were perfection. The bartender didn't have exactly what wanted but came up with a killer alternative.

06/09/2026: When I got there I thought Boco was the most beautiful sighting I have ever seen. Boco is a British Rail Class 28, also known as the Metropolitan-Vickers Type 2 diesel-electric locomotive. Also I saw Gordon and he looked scared.

27/07/2026: We held our wedding lunch at The Old Spot in July 2026, having visited several times in the months leading up to the day. It quickly became one of our favourite restaurants in Dublin, so choosing it for such an important occasion felt like an easy decision. From the very beginning, the service was exceptional. Alisa, Hazel and Denise in the reservations team were incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. They happily accommodated all of our requests, from creating a bespoke menu and ensuring there were excellent vegan options to guiding us through the wine selection. We were also able to drop off all of our decorations the day before, and Alisa made sure everything was beautifully set up and ready for our arrival. On the day itself, Aiden was simply outstanding. Professional, warm and effortlessly organised, he made everything run seamlessly. What really stood out was that the entire team felt like part of the celebration rather than just serving it. Every member of staff was genuinely invested in making sure we and our guests had an unforgettable day, and their enthusiasm and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We had 40 guests across four tables, and the upstairs private room was the perfect size, with plenty of space to comfortably accommodate larger groups. The natural light from the ceiling windows made the room bright and welcoming throughout the afternoon, the air conditioning kept everyone comfortable despite a warm July day, and the linen tablecloths were well worth adding for an extra touch of class. One of the biggest talking points among our guests was the food. Being able to order from the full menu without asking our guests to pre order in advance made the whole experience feel much more relaxed and personal. With five main course options and excellent vegetarian and vegan choices, everyone found something they loved. The wine list is extensive and very reasonably priced. If you’re looking for a venue for a wedding lunch, birthday celebration, corporate event or any special occasion, I genuinely couldn’t recommend The Old Spot highly enough. The food is outstanding, the venue is fantastic, but it’s the people who truly make it special. To everyone at The Old Spot, thank you for helping to make one of the most important days of our lives so memorable. We’ll be back many more times in the years ahead.

23/09/2026: A very enjoyable evening in Cork at SpitJack restaurant. The menu is short but excellent. Be warned, though: if you're expecting a burger with a beef patty, the meat is more of a stuffed meat. The servers are attentive to allergies, and I was served mashed potatoes (which were delicious) instead of fries. The French wine selection doesn't live up to the quality of the vineyards they offer.

28/08/2026: What an amazing restaurant. They sell Italian goods as well as wine. Service was amazing, we asked for wine recommendations & the lady serving us advised for a lovely bottle we thoroughly enjoyed. Food was amazing, incredible value! Bottle of wine, shared starters & 2 mains only came out to €78 total! Can’t wait to be back x

23/08/2026: Authentic, high-end Italian food served in an intimate, relaxing, homely setting. It’s hard to put into words, you need to experience it! The food and wine was superb. The hospitality was amazing. They don’t just know good food, they also know good people. The staff are so warm and friendly, they obviously get a good sense of people. If you can’t go to Italy to experience their amazing food and culture, thankfully you can still experience it at Sfuso. The restaurant will warm your soul. It’s now my favourite restaurant in Dublin. Also, if Italian people are eating there, you know it must be good. Highly recommend. They’ve created such a unique atmosphere. Curated every aspect of it as close to perfection as humanly possible. This is the what all restaurants hope to create and should aspire to. You’re in for a treat! You can check out the gallery on their website to see the photographs too. We had the Lazy Platter antipasti board which came with mini lasagne & quiches, roast vegetables & potato wedges. Beautiful olives, meats and cheeses with freshly sliced bread topped with red and green pesto. Of course you also get fresh bread, olive oil, and vinegar for the table to really make you feel like you’re in Italy. We also had half carafe of the house red wine. A really beautiful red. All this at €25 pp. Where else would you get that?! So healthy and good for you as well.

28/08/2026: This place turned out to be a real hidden gem for me. On my way to work, I tried their caramel latte and carrot cake for the first time, and I have to say, they absolutely made my morning. The coffee is delicious, the pastries are soooo good, and the prices are very reasonable. Overall, the place is incredibly cosy and the staff are lovely and friendly. I definitely recommend giving it a try! Your café has a special place in my heart now. I simply can’t walk past you on my way to work anymore without stopping in for my morning coffee. ❤️

29/06/2026: The vibe here is great and the outdoor seating is really nice, perfect for a slow brunch. I got the breakfast bravas with chorizo which hit the spot, and my partner got the simple which she loved too.

18/09/2026: It was very crowded and loud. The music was tucked in a corner and if you weren’t right in front of them, you couldn’t hear them over the loud talking.

15/09/2026: We had our wedding ceremony in The Sitting Room and, the night previously, a small group dinner in the courtyard. Service was attentive, food was amazing and everyone was talking about how a great location the cocktail bar is for the ceremony - and dog friendly too.
