The best restaurants

31/05/2025: We only ate at the pub, didn’t stay at the townhouse, so I didn’t assign stars to the rooms. But the pub was lovely, great staff and service, and the bangers and mash were spectacular. A traditional pub experience that we enjoyed!

25/05/2025: Loved our stay here! Expect stairs, but the staff is very helpful. Food was exceptional, drinks incredible, and atmosphere perfect. I suggest you start and end your adventures in Ireland at O'niells. We will most certainly be staying here on our next trip to the Isle. Slainte!

11/05/2025: Just one word. Amazing. We were in Arklow for a swimming competition and we were looking for a coffee on Sunday morning at 8 AM. We found this little wonderful place and were greeted by the owners. We ended up having coffee and later on in day we had lunch. The food is just amazing and the atmosphere too. Will come back for sure.

08/05/2025: Great place by the river with very nice hosts and Italian music.

01/06/2025: We ate baklava and stuffed dates with flat white coffees. The panorama is fantastic by the River Lee.

31/05/2025: Slow to review this one, but we had a lovely meal here about two weeks ago. Service was great from when we arrived to when we left. Two massive portions of food and some lovely yoghurt drinks to wash it all down. Would highly recommend Izz to anyone visiting Cork or anyone local who has yet to be. We'll be back.

20/05/2025: Absolutely amazing spot! As you come in you are greeted by the most welcoming and lovely ladies who assure you that this is the place to satiate your hunger. The lovely lady ushered us to our table with a warm and witty remark which made us feel at ease! We came here for brunch after a long flight and it couldn’t have been a better choice! Whatever you do, treat yourself to the full Irish breakfast- I’m not kidding, it is one of the best in the country! Everything is cooked to perfection. The first bite will make you cry and thank your ancestors <3 the white puddings are the best, and I speak as a person that isn’t the biggest fan of white pudding! if the breakfast is that good, I imagine everything is is just as top notch! I can’t wait to return!!! Great value, even better food and atmosphere!

20/05/2025: I was travelling through Ireland on my own and had a stop in Mullingar. This pub is absolutely lovely. The owners, the staff and the people there are so kind and I felt very welcomed. Even though I was travelling on my own i didn’t feel alone there. I’d definitely recommend popping in there when you are in Mullingar! It’s a very original Irish experience; the beer is amazing and the nights there you’ll never forget!

26/04/2025: This is the nicest bar in all of Ireland. It’s clean, spacious, and has great service and selections. All the staff are warm and friendly.

07/05/2025: Just visited this place for the first time after living in the area for a while already. Absolutely loved the place. Just dropped here for a quick lunch on my son's 18th birthday. Service was really lovely, people went far & beyond to make us feel welcome, food was spectacular and I left the place even happier than I came in. Definitely will come again.

03/05/2025: Tuvimos una comida fabulosa, pero lo que lo empañó fue Beverly. Muy buena comida. El servicio era bueno. Tuvimos 3 platos de comida con bebidas que estábamos acabando desierto cuando Beverly el anfitrión vino y dijo que teníamos 10 minutos para levantarse de la mesa la mesa está reservada. No nos dimos cuenta ya que teníamos nuestros cafés pedidos sabiendo que estaríamos terminados en aproximadamente 10 mente de todos modos. Ella regresó en menos de los 5 minutos que necesitamos para desalojar la mesa dijimos que terminaremos nuestros cafés y nos iremos luego dijo que estábamos 2 horas allí y hay un límite de 2 horas en la mesa. Dijimos que teníamos una comida de 3 platos con bebidas y nunca oímos que había un límite de 2 horas y no había señales. Ella estaba dando a otros empleados acerca de nuestra mesa y que no nos íbamos de la mesa. Íbamos a irnos en breve. Sentimos que era muy grosera y poco después de la conversación dejó caer nuestro cheque a la mesa. Había mesas a nuestro alrededor libres y no vimos qué prisa había. Fue una pena dejar esta opinión, ya que la comida y el servicio era bueno. Nuestra factura era de más de 150 €, sentimos que no merecíamos esto.

03/06/2025: I ordered take out . Papaya salad , red curry chicken and jasmine rice . Food was beautiful 10/10 and the guy serving was very helpful and friendly . Thanks 🙏

03/05/2025: Great pub, the waiters are very friendly, the atmosphere is great and the croques monsieurs are great for mopping up the Guinesses 😋. Plus we arrived late (8:30 p.m. 😁) and the kitchens worked overtime 😎. Pay attention to the time, otherwise you won't eat in Ireland anymore 😔.
