The best restaurants

23/04/2026: From all my years of bring served at this restaurant I still cannot put into words how amazing this establishment is. Everything from the delicious food, peaceful and wonderful atmosphere and exceptional service. The friendly staff contribute heavily to the amazing atmosphere and service coupled with the extremely high quality of a traditional Japanese cuisine. Food has never been a disappointment. Extremely fresh and high quality sushi + variety. Ramen options are various and all delicious. If you fancy stir fries or meals they do not disappoint. Words dont do this establishment justice of you fancy fine dining and high quality Japanese cuisine this is the place without a doubt.

04/11/2025: Karen’s Diner has now closed in Dublin but fear not, you can come here instead! Ask for just coffees, and you’ll hardly be tolerated by the staff, even if the place is quiet! We were told AFTER paying that we could only sit and drink our coffees for 20 minutes (despite there being two available 2-person tables) and we were reminded to leave after 10 minutes. Decided to give it 2 stars instead of 1 star because at least the coffee is decent.

07/03/2026: A wonderful time at Terra Madre! The food was excellent, the pasta was delicious, and the tiramisu was incredible. As a French woman who has traveled to Italy, I can confidently say that you'll be in for a treat!

21/04/2026: We can't say enough great things about this place! The staff made us feel so welcome. The pizza was amazing. You could tell it was made with love. The desserts were out of this word! Creme Brulee, Tiramisu, and Affogato, DELICIOUS! Highly recommend Woozza over all the other pizza spots. You won't regret it!

02/05/2026: This is a place you’ll want to come back to again and again. If I could give 10 stars, I would—both from me and my husband. The food was absolutely delicious (I had the monkfish, and my husband had the fish and chips). But what really brings you back is the team—so friendly and attentive, they make you feel right at home. The whole place is led by a wonderful owner, Jim, and you can feel it in the atmosphere. It has that warm, old-style Irish hospitality that’s hard to find these days. Thank you for such a great experience. Highly recommended!

13/04/2026: Amazing experience, the food was beautifully presented and excellent flavors. Grilled sea bass with veggies and jack dory pan fried with veggies. We picked the multi dessert so a taste of three and coffee was wonderful ending. Fun to eat here for something special. Made reservations months in advance for 530 so we were quickly served before the crowd showed.

05/04/2026: Fabulous evening. The fresh seafood was super but the standout was the service. Our waitress Triona was fantastic. Helpful and knowledgable at every turn. We were out of sight in the conservatory area and she never missed a beat. Will be back at the first opportunity.

20/04/2026: Authentic old castle hotel. Timeless, great service, clean & today. Beautiful spacious bedrooms & unbelievable bathroom size with shower & seperate tub bath.

18/04/2026: Yup, it’s a castle, 🏰 it’s a fairy tale come true! So so beautiful! And I love how green the walls are!

17/04/2026: Excellent restaurant! Don't hesitate to stop by. We stumbled upon it by chance and it was a wonderful experience. They serve all day. The dishes are homemade.

12/04/2026: Super selection on the menu and fast, friendly service. UPDATE: After other visits, it is my opinion that this outlet has really deteriorated - it took an hour to have tea and a snack with a 50 minute delay between when they were eventually served. Staff were kind but untrained and confused. Crockery was dirty and had to be sent back. The food served was not what was ordered and was cold. The atmosphere was awful. I would not be keen to return in future - avoid, zero recommendation.

04/05/2026: Had a good experience as always. We made a mistake while ordering (didn’t read the menu right haha) and the waitress was very very kind and understanding and offered to remake the meal without the food aversion. Really really appreciated that despite it being very much our fault. Will return again :) Can’t remember her name but she was blonde, but huge shutout to her for being so kind !

27/11/2025: This is a big cold, but they have the best sausage roll in all of Ireland. No greasy, or cheap sausage meat…full of rich flavour and delicious flaky pastry. The Portuguese Pastel de Nata, straight out of the oven was better than any I have had in Portugal…well at least as good as! Great coffee as well! Friendly people!

30/10/2025: Pleasant surprise finding baked goods of such high quality in such a small town, great coffee too!
