29/08/2026: Really nice, friendly place. Food is lovely. Unlike other places that are popular you done feel pressured to vacate your table.

27/06/2026: We ordered two pizzas to go. An Italian guy served us, but when we picked up the pizzas, a Spanish guy helped us. I asked him if he needed the receipt to check our order, and he said no. I insisted, and he told me he knew what we’d ordered, so we trusted him. When we got to our picnic spot, they didn’t give us the sauce we’d paid for, nor any napkins. It was only €2 plus a few cents, so we didn’t go back . In any case, always double check your order, even if the server insists he knows what you ordered.

18/09/2026: What a find, got in out of the squall blowing in off the Atlantic. Killing a little time before flying home. A Guinness and Kenny's Chicken Curry was a perfect late lunch. Look forward to coming back in November.

11/09/2026: It's my 4th year staying here in a row. I'm down in Bandon to take part in the cancer charity fundraising event at the nearby airsoft site Absolute Airsoft. The food in the bar and restaurant area speaks volumes about the care a attention from the chief and kitchen staff. The bar staff as always friendly and know their way round the bar and how to pour a good pint. The floor staff helpful and polite and very knowledgeable about what's on the menu if your looking for a recommendations of what to eat. The rooms are as always clean and well maintained. With a price per night not be beaten and 8 rooms, 4 single and 4 doubles. Highly recommended.

03/09/2026: Being a South London lad it was amusing to chat with a North London lass. All joking aside, everything was great and will definitely visit when back in Ireland.

12/08/2026: - Sushi did not taste fresh 🤢 - Rice had an unpleasant sour/off smell and taste 🤢 - Prawns were very dry, tough and hard 👎 - Sushi quality was disappointing overall 👎 - Cocktails were good 👍 - Staff were friendly and provided good service👍

07/06/2026: We've had an amazing stay in this beautiful and authentic Castle, I can't thank you enough. Brian and all the staff are the real definition of "warm and welcoming", rooms are cozy and comfortable, restaurant with truly high quality menu. I wish we could stay longer than one night. See you again soon xxx

25/05/2026: Great first time experience in a castle! Beautiful castle and grounds, great bar and dinner was fantastic! Try the local lobster it is so sweet! Definitely stay here again.

07/09/2026: I went in with an open mind knowing it was french style, but the flavours were overly sweet and it was not the gourmet dish I was expecting. With that said, the place has a lovely ambience and staff were friendly. Go for the pastries, not for the pizza.

28/08/2026: The atmosphere and staff are very friendly, so smart... no reservations needed, arriving an hour early is highly recommended! Be aware that if the port parking lot is full, there won't be much space on the road either, or even on the path...

06/09/2026: I ordered the special which was a caramelized onion filo tart with blue cheese on top with arugula and a mustard seed based dressing; needless to say, full of flavor! I also had the Korean cauliflower wings--so delicious and perfectly cooked. I had extra wing sauce i wanted to dip bread in so I added the breads n dip to my order at the end...don't do it, at least don't order the gluten-free version. Flavorless unlike other gluten-free breads I've had over the years. Tasted like they came right out of a bag of bread from the grocery aisle. The sauces that accompany the bread are descent. But again don't bother and maybe go with something else (or stick with their sourdough which I should have). I also had the cherry pie and yes, please! Perfect amount of sugar in the crust and excellent blend of tart from the cherry--highly recommend! This place had an excellent vibe and they clearly care about the establishment. I would definitely go back and I love the tapas style, too!
