23/08/2026: Completely closed down for at least the next 2 weeks it seems. With no warning posted online its quite disappointing. Especially when the marina market is so much more conveniently located with better selection and quality.

25/07/2026: We spend three days this weekend in Dublin and the Bleeker Street Bar became our favorite Pub. Maybe because it‘s placed on the opposite from our apartment but also because Johnny is a really cool dude with a cool bar. 10/10, would recommend!

11/08/2026: A real little French boulangerie, croissant et chocolatine (should we say "pain au chocolat" ;-) ), are really tasty. I have enjoyed the quality.

06/08/2026: Quite an expensive bakery. We ordered two chocolate croissants and a loaf of bread and it cost us 9.80 euros.

30/08/2026: Stopped in to catch the match and grab a bite, and it couldn't have been better. The steak sandwich and chips were spot on—proper hearty pub food that hits the spot. Fantastic atmosphere for live sport, quick service, and a great pint to go with it. Easily one of the best sports pubs in town.

15/09/2026: Jan 25 - Dined in their new extension today 4 brekkie. Wow, amazing breakfast !!! Quality food, served hot 🔥 the breakfast bap with potato sides and 2nd dish of hot sausage, poached eggs and tomato sauce on some of those potatoes. We hovered it up. Planned a sweet treat to finish, but we were full for the day. Lovely young , kind, and polite staff !!!! Highly recommend. Forgot to take photos of dishes (excuse to to back) Sept 24 -Sat outside for an almond hot chocolate and a protien ball on Friday in beautiful September sunshine. Everything was delicious.

26/08/2026: Great Bar Staff. Friendly, quick service, always have time for a chat, but sometimes they don't like my jokes, ( probably because they heard them all before) Worth a vist. Great value for 💰

19/08/2026: Went for lunch today with my friend, food delicious and staff so friendly and a car park at the back which is handy as parking hard to get in Lucan Village. Will be back, thanks to the really nice barman also☺️

27/05/2026: The hotel is in a quiet and convenient area. We were greeted warmly by Tunde, who checked us in and shared some local knowledge. At breakfast, the manager, Oisin, chatted with us for a bit. Both experiences were wonderful and made our first trip to Ireland excellent. Athernry is a great town!

12/07/2026: If visiting Dungarvan I’d give the Merrys Gastro pub a miss It was fairly grotty seats and tables were fairly dirty. We were left waiting an hour and a half for our food that was only average . Lots of fabulous restaurants and bars in Dungarvan to choose from but this was not one of them!

21/07/2026: Really loved the Cream and fruit cake we got here. The cake had the perfect texture and flavor; the fruit was perfectly ripe with a good crisp texture. I honestly have had few cakes that compare. Super happy we decided to get our wedding cake here. I really recommend it!

14/08/2026: I had a wonderful stay at The Boat Inn and really enjoyed my experience. The hotel was lovely, comfortable and welcoming. The room was clean, cozy and well prepared, and the self check-in process was very easy and convenient. The location was great, and everything was exactly as expected. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend The Boat Inn. I would be happy to stay here again!

12/08/2026: Located in the heart of Oughterard with every amenity nearby. The guesthouse has been tastefully renovated and refurbished. Check-in was quick and easy. The rooms are warm and inviting. A really lovely stay for a weekend, or even longer to explore the Wild Atlantic Way.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere hummed with quiet elegance, the kind that doesn’t need to announce itself. Then came the venison, and truly, it deserves its own standing ovation. Presented with theatrical grace, it stood poised like a bride beneath a chuppah, a culinary ceremony in full swing. Each bite was rich, tender, and deeply expressive of the land, as though the surrounding hills had whispered their secrets directly into the dish. The asparagus risotto followed, glowing with freshness. It arrived adorned with a delicate bouquet of edible flowers, like spring had decided to dress up for dinner. 02/05/2026: Fabulous Michelin star restaurant, personnel is amazing food is fantastic and the place, being so tiny makes it very cozy, winter or summer the view is amazing!
