28/06/2026: Polite staff, Propt helpful service Gorgeous food Would very much recommend

01/06/2026: Had a great experience at the Coach House at the weekend. Terrific atmosphere on Sat for the champions league final, then had a superb meal on Sunday. My wife and Aunt had roast beef and I had the beef curry, meat was cooked to perfection. Very attentive bar and waitress staff, and cracking pint of Krombacher. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone passing through or staying in Balinteer!

27/08/2026: Stopped here after touring the gardens. The hot food option of turkey, ham and leak pie was fantastic! I was surprised by the large portions. When the friendly server asked, "Do you want everything?" He was not kidding! Roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, broccoli, green beans, carrots and turnips plus gravy. It was so much we had to take some home. Oh and the pot of tea netted 2.5 cups!

18/09/2026: Wonderful gastropub in the liberties. I love their style, the design was very curated and comfortable, even the bathroom. The food was delicious. They made an exception as I asked for a pie, that is generally served only for dinner and I remain surprised both for kindness and tasty chicken curry pie. The service so good too! Really recommended!

05/09/2026: Really nice food. I had the chicken supreme and tropical Eaton mess. Flavours were great. It’s attached to aloft hotel so enter there. Would go again.

17/06/2026: Rooms ok layed out a little goofy, but great location.

13/06/2026: Very comfortable room, got a last minute free upgrade which was much appreciated. One problem with a fan but resolved immediately. Pool a welcomed addition and food was lovely. Only issue, and it's minor, was the water machine rang out of water and there was no outdoor ash trays. Overall had a good stay and would recommend!

24/08/2026: What an absolute gem! My Sat Nav recommended stopping here for lunch. Arrived on a Sunday afternoon with a Trad session in full swing! Had Dinner and a pint and it was delicious, lovely food especially the home made chips and lovely staff. Definitely on my bucket list for another visit.

28/05/2026: The nicest place you can go, practically in the center of Cork. Good coffee, delicious fruitcake, excellent music, unbeatable service, and a covered terrace where you can smoke. The owner is a great guy. Ideal for a relaxing break.

19/02/2026: Got a ham and cheese toastie which was delicious. The food and coffee is cheap but lovely. The owner is a gentleman, can’t recommend this place enough.

27/08/2026: Very nice pub, but it's a shame we couldn't get a meal because the kitchen was already closed when we arrived. The owner was very kind.

18/08/2026: We were traveling out of lough Key by boat and by chance we found the moorings on Google. We called and got a place offered to moor in the marina. The owner met us and helped us get pulled in. The service in the pub was great with a very friendly waitress serving us. A great place to stop in future.

24/09/2025: Authentically friendly Irish. Homemade and delicious crème filled danish. A real treat for anyone’s tastes!

20/09/2025: Wonderful bakery right next door to our Airbnb, went there often. Excellent meat pies and pastries.Fresh bread and they'll make you fresh sandwiches. Enjoyed everything that we tried here over our two weeks. Favorites were steak pie and cottage pie. Fair prices.

12/08/2026: Great value for money! Greens are in fantastic shape 4/5 Fairways were some of the best before the heat wave mid summer 2026 4/5 Tee boxes 4/5 Bunkers were kept well 4/5 Lads in the pro shop were very nice and accommodating. Club house serves food! Putting and chipping green was reflective of the course conditions. Did not use the range but there was one there.

30/08/2026: Terrible response, pop in to have a drink but had a dog with me and she’s a barker, so phone in to order a glass of wine a glass of water , wait over 20 minutes to have to ring again to reorder to have the guy hang up on me , to ringing third time to speak with a manager or supervisor to finally getting my order, would bother going back again,

20/08/2026: Pros:- Great pub food but the standard evening menu has become a bit limited in recent times which is a pity. It has also increased recently very significantly in price and is not good value and quality has dimished. An example is the cost of fish and chips which is now €22 less five cents for pub grub and "canteen" quality. This is even dearer than the local hotel. They do sometimes have evening specials which the serving staff will advise you about. Carvery meals when available (midday to early afternoon) are really excellent and generous and slightly cheaper during weekdays. Cons:- Avoid always crowded Friday, Saturday evenings and indeed some Sundays (depending on sporting events) when it can become just a drink emporium. There can be unexpected unbelievably noisy customer groups also on other days which makes normal conversation impossible - the management accept this and do not intervene no matter how loud they get. Not a good pub for a quiet drink. Staff seen to have a "push" directive on selling drink, While drinking one pint I was asked six times if I wanted another pint, several times by the same staff member. However a good local hosteler.

25/08/2026: It’s that coffee? The worst latte in my life, it was water milk and no coffe or shit!

23/08/2026: Lol was very sad. She didn't like her job. I expect my coffee to be served with a smile. Maybe it was because she was on her own and there was a massive queue.
