The best restaurants

28/08/2026: Very friendly, warm and welcoming staff! Ordered an Iced Latte, a BLT and a Club Sandwich. Portions are quite large and very tasty! Worth the money for sure (10-11€ for th sandwiches and 3.50€ for the Latte). We were only passing through but as we were sitting, enjoying our lunch a lot of locals popped in to grab lunch there. So seem's to be very popular with the people of Ballyshannon too. Definitely highly recomended!

31/07/2026: Can't say how surprise we were with the food and price..! We ordered an Americano, Acai bowl, éclair and carrot cake. Food portions were generous, and tasty of course (highly recommend!!). We also love their music playlist that's really calming and enjoyable in the morning.

30/08/2026: I got locked in the bathroom the door won’t open I was so scared I was about to cry but the staff are nice to me it was a disabled toliet

15/08/2026: A very welcoming restaurant with a lovely terrace and a perfect atmosphere for relaxing. We especially enjoyed the main courses. The starters, however, seemed a bit underwhelming due to their preparation, although ultimately it's a matter of personal taste. Even so, a pleasant and charming place.

10/08/2026: I went to this place to order a dozen oysters. An older man came and gave me a menu and once I told him I only wanted a dozen oysters, he told me they were too busy for that and every table was reserved. There were only a few people in the restaurant at the time. I passed by an hour later and the restaurant still had several tables available. I went in again to ask why he wouldn’t serve me when the restaurant clearly had availability and he simply said that it was his choice. I left… I don’t normally write bad reviews but this particular man was extremely rude. I do not recommend this place…

03/06/2026: I was passing through Portlaoise at the weekend and wanted a quick bite to eat. I stopped at the Parkside Shopping Centre due to handy parking outside and went into Kelly Lou's. I chose a sausage roll and coleslaw and while it's something I like I seldom order it as they can be a bit hit and miss. However, on this occasion it was full of sausage meat with lovely flaky pastry and absolutely delicious. Just what a good sausage roll should be. It came with coleslaw, some salad and crisps and I enjoyed it immensely. I then had a lovely lemon cupcake and an equally lovely latte (in a tall glass the way a latte should be served but seldom are). All in all a delicious lunch and based on my experience I would definitely go there again if I was in Portlaoise.

23/08/2026: It’s great to eat at a place where the chef clearly cares about the food, the staff are lovely and the views are stunning …. Even more so on a glorious sunny day on the terrace.

15/08/2026: Excellent experience at sunset. We arrived as a family just before my kitchen closed at 9 pm, we were able to order and everything was excellent. I highly recommend it.

07/09/2026: After an early flight home from holidays, my family and I enjoyed delicious, hot and tasty full and mini Irish breakfasts along with delicious homemade brown bread and sour dough toast. The staff were extremely friendly, lovely chatting with owner Sinead and service was fast. We loved the tasty bakes we took home with us too, highly recommend and we will be back if passing Ennis again. 😊

21/07/2026: Nice corner café in Phibsborough with great coffee. Their outdoor seating area was their best quality, but unfortunately it had to be taken down.

27/07/2026: ​Ordered soup and a portion of chips. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with the chips—they came in a very small plate and were undercooked. To make matters worse, they charged over €3 for the chips!. Expected better quality and value for the price.

24/10/2025: This is the place to stay when visiting Lahinch. Less than a 5-minute walk to both the town and Lahinch GC. Onsite restaurant is excellent for both breakfast and dinner, and the staff is marvelous.
