28/02/2025: This small comfy home like place is one of the best in Cork with surroundings. The food was delicious and the staff so friendly, i wanted to order more food. :) Really amazing experience.

22/02/2025: Stopped in the afternoon for pub drinks and lunch. Fish & Chips and soup with Toastie were excellent. Service was very friendly and the ambiance inviting. 100% recommend.

10/01/2025: I think I spend half my wages in Tokyo Kitchen. The food is absolutely delicious and fair priced. Also, they cater for vegetarians and vegans FOR REAL - not just substitute whatever meat for veggies and charge the same. Just placing my next order now!

17/03/2025: I worked for them as a freelancer, it took them ages to pay me and plus, salary was 13.50€ per hour and they paid 10€ per hour to me. After that i all sending emails and calls but without any answers. Worst employers ever!!! I would not recommend this place to anyboday for work!

23/11/2024: Had a sirloin steak and chips. Really poorly presented on the plate. Steak was not of good quality. The chips were raw in the middle. Was like trying to eat rubber. Brought it to the waitresses attention as I didn’t eat them. She took the plate and went to the kitchen and never came back with a reply. Charged for the full meal and no apology. Hence I’m guessing the reason why the place was empty on a Saturday night. Poor show. Not good enough.

23/10/2024: Really nice food, unpretentious and very tastefully put together. The fish and veggie dishes we tried were very nice and the desert too. Would highly recommend.

12/01/2025: It's hard to get the balance right between homely castle and luxury Hotel, and as much as Ballyseede tries to do that it ends up with a juxtaposition of the two elements never quite meshing for me I booked for a room in the Castle and was upgraded to a luxurious suite out the back of the complex. It was spacious and elegant and clean, a five star room but it didn't feel like a castle stay. Dinner in the bar was underwhelming, and breakfast was okay, but the service fell short of five star and there is room for improvement. Despite that, the server asked me to go online and give my stay a five star review and to be sure to mention her by name. So four stars it is.

The portions were generous, and the presentation was artful. I also tried their renowned fish and chips, which were perfectly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The service was impeccable. The team is attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They made sure that we felt at home from start to finish, offering great recommendations and making sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. 19/03/2025: Ordered from here on a whim, what a pleasant surprise! Absolutely delicious and higher quality than you'd have any right to expect from a takeaway. We had a chicken jalfrezi and another spicy coconut type chicken dish. Both absolutely top tier. Flavoursome, plentiful and packed with different ingredients. Nann bread was ace, as were the mint and mango chutney dips. Couldn't fault it and have had far less impressive food in far higher-priced spots. 10/10, no notes!

08/03/2025: Very worst experience, you can find only kerala kitchen name in the menu not the foods, quality and quantity wise very poor we asked for extra spicy unfortunately they served sweet cury, and very expensive, only staffs are good

02/02/2025: Food actually wasn’t bad, the lady at front of house was. Ordered our food and 2 cans of coke which were out of date with a month, when I told the lady that I am pregnant and she sold them which were out of date she goes sorry do you want another one- didn’t seem genuine pretended like she didn’t know they were gone off and still didn’t take them out of the fridge! Won’t be the last they’re hearing from me if I get sick… careful lads what else is out of date in there… turned me off going back
