01/09/2025: I only went in for a pint and to watch the match, but a very nice spot. Segmented areas made the feeling a lot more personal. I would recommend.

18/10/2025: I am truly mesmerized by my experience here. Everything, everything was amazing. We came here because we are currently staying at the hotel and didn t expect anything special. But it was the exact opposite, food was great, service even better. There is so much to tell about how surprised we were. And the prices… we couldn’t believe how much we paid (in a good way). Best culinary experience in Ireland so far (and we have been to various « fancy spots). 10/10 would recommend. And, last but not least, we did go there with a 6 years old who was as happy as we are. Thank you !!

30/08/2025: We recently had our wedding here in Blackthorn restaurant. I would highly recommend this restaurant for their food and service. We had 96 guests seated on our day and I couldn't have asked for a better setting or food. Our guests were raving about the food. The only complaint they had was that there was too much! ( between the horderves and mate night snacks) We have been getting compliments all week, ' the best food I have ever had at a wedding', ' I will go to this restaurant again', ' I will recommend this place to my brother for his wedding', 'what type of meat was that cut again? The meat just fell apart when i touched it'. We opted for this restaurant as opposed to a big function room style wedding exactly for this reason so we are SO happy with the way the day went from start to finish! We worked with the managers Patrick and Fergal who couldn't do enough for us- who helped us in choosing our food and wines and the format of the day. All of the staff were fantastic.They were brilliant to work with and so helpful- the people and staff make a place for us, this is another reason we chose this venue. Nathan, the chef, although I never actually met him, did an amazing job. No ask was too much for the team and the day went perfectly. I would highly recommend dining here, holding an event here or getting married here. You will not be disappointed. A lot of our guests that stayed in the hotel commented on how friendly all of the staff were so I would like to highlight that too. Thank you again!

28/10/2025: Well we often get fish there and it’s very fresh and the staff are very knowledgeable. Excellent bread and other deli items too. Also they have a little coffee corner and their coffee is delightful, you could try their Almond croissants – they are divine. They have a couple of tiny tables outdoors so you can enjoy sitting out there on a sunny day !

05/09/2025: Came here with my daughter & grandchild.. was made very uncomfortable by the staff & rude to my daughter. A toasted sandwiche was out of the question as its breakfast time .. told her in a very rude manner ..staff has changed here i wont be back here . So dissapointing.. bla had no butter on either side 🙈 sausages not cooked n streaky bacon was burnt Wasnt given cutlery had to wait 10 mins to be served and another 20 t9 get food that was not worth 23+ euro

07/10/2025: Yummy coffee and lunch, they were dog friendly in their outdoor seating when I visited a while back, which was great 👍 pleasant loal small business, happy to support.

06/08/2025: This is a classic Supermac's restaurant that has a varied and tasty menu compared to the big rival that is currently in a trademark dispute with the owners. This particular restaurant in Gort, despite the small size, is clean, serves up the food quickly, and kids especially like it. It's in a great spot in the centre of Gort. Only thing is that according to the website there's no deliveries from here. Other than that, it's an excellent place.

22/10/2025: Wow, the Silver Salmon Grill ,what a great 👍 find!!!!! I just randomly chose the SSG , primarily because of the convenient location, close to where I parked my car. Wow, ....totally lucky find on my part! The atmosphere is old-school Astoria with walls loaded with local artwork. Eye candy!!! Clark, our server was attentive and not in the least bit hovering. The food was terrific!!! The rich clam chowder with cheese bread was delicious, with copious amounts of diced clams swirled around in a thick cream base. This clam chowder doubled as dessert for me !!!! The smoked salmon sliders are also excellent. 3 sliders served on toasted buns . Desserts looked delicious, but after the RICH clam chowder , my dessert slot had already been satisfied. 😀 Prices were somewhat expensive but reasonable for the quality of food. Final take... highly recommended
