01/06/2026: Serious spot, so easy going and just simple food and service no messing around. 11/10

17/05/2026: Place looks cool and food is fresh but...quality of food is very poor, soda bread was not soda bread it was type of ciabatta...coffee was instant...zero taste...not drinkable at all. Prices are ok- ish. A bit of a clean up would be recommended. I would not go back.

04/09/2026: A really nice facility for entertaining kids from around 3 to perhaps 14 at most. Newly renovated and it has been done to a decent standard.

07/09/2026: A group of us stopped off here for lunch on Sunday 6th September. Had ordered in advance. Food was delicious and the girls were magnificent.

06/09/2026: One of the best places we ate during our trip to Ireland. We can definitely recommend it. The service was very friendly, fast, and professional, and the portions were really large and filling. The food was very tasty, well-prepared, and presented without any unnecessary fuss. Another big plus is the reasonable prices for the quality and portion sizes. We enjoyed everything and would happily return. A very good place for a decent meal.

17/06/2026: Bollards is our favorite pub in Kilkenny. This was our 3rd time to Kilkenny and we stop in here every time for pints, food, sessions, and overall great craic. Cheers to Damien who was our bartender and took great care of us. We enjoyed chatting with him and a few other locals. It feels like a home away from home. Can’t wait to come back soon!

24/02/2026: Amazing! Coffee is delicious, the staff are sound and very dog friendly. Perfect spot to link up for a coconut flat white & breakfast. The owner is also great. Bless RDC 👊🏼

17/01/2026: All round TERRIBLE.. Rude owners, cheap coffee beans, frozen traybakes... Never coming back to this place... Charged me nearly 20 euro for a coffee and a small bun.. I asked a guy I think he was Barney why so expensive and he moaned and groaned and said 'go elsewhere if you don't like it's... Horrible owners won't be back

06/08/2026: Rare old time pub. Full of character and a few characters to go with it. Great service and a decent pint. Well worth a visit.

17/08/2026: Had an amazing time here for my hen trip- firstly we done cocktail making which was brilliant and then we were invited to the drag show (hosted by Ariana Grindr) The show was fantastic and we all had a lot of laughs and could not stop raving how much fun we had. Everyone who works there really made my hen very special! Much appreciated ❤️

26/07/2026: Booked for a group of 10 for drinks, was accommodated for but not very well. First area was completely empty there was no other people there so the vibe was dead, we were then moved to the covered terrace which was fine but when a table freed up and we asked to sit there we were told of the option to go to the 2nd floor. Thinking it would be busy and lively we went with no issues only to arrive to another empty floor with a sticky table. We stayed for one drink and left because honestly it was a bit miserable. Staff were nice but it honestly looked like they forgot a big group was coming and was underprepared which is a shame because they clearly accommodated other big groups. Look overall I’m sure the place is lovely this is just my experience. For drinks alone I wouldn’t go back.

24/10/2025: I came for a lunch on Thursday with my friend and my little dog. I would like to thank you Declan for your kindness and warmth welcome. Fish and chips with a salad was delicious.

12/09/2026: Excellent food Very tasty and just the right amount. Very obliging and helpful could not do enough for us. So much so to the point I asked to have a cheese sauce to accompany the cauliflower. Although this item was not on the menu they provided with no problem. Overall excellent food, excellent staff all round.

28/07/2026: We went here on Sunday morning. What a fantastic set up. A group of 14 people. A great selection of food on the menu for everyone. Service was very efficient. Portions are large so it helped that we were all hungry.And everyone left very happy.

14/09/2026: The worst restaurant of my life. Very low quality food. Extremely long wait times. In a restaurant with an €80 cover charge. The service, wait times, products, and dishes were among the worst I have ever eaten or experienced.
