25/02/2025: My husband and I visited The Wine Cellar last night to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary, and it was one of the most attentive & authentic meals we've had in ages. From the very first moment, Des looked after us with such sincerity and kindness. We both travel for work and dine out regularly, and trust me when I say the warmth of Des and his team is truly world-class. My husband is Italian, and we both loved our food. We tried the truffle arancini which were delightful, the bolognese which was perfectly balanced, and the coppa which was melt-in-your-mouth tender with the most incredible rich marsala sauce. For dessert, we shared the tiramisu and agreed it was the best one we'd ever had - ever! Compliments to the chef! Another bonus is the amazing €1 corkage deal on Sun-Tues, where you can select a bottle from their extensive selection on the shelves. We were really impressed by some of the labels and vintages on offer. We will absolutely be back again, and will be highly recommending The Wine Cellar to our family and friends for a relaxing evening and perfect atmosphere. Thanks again to Des and the team for making our evening so lovely!

13/12/2024: Ronan and I had the privilege of hosting our wedding at the stunning Sneem Hotel in August 2023, and it was an absolute dream come true. From the moment we stepped foot into the hotel, we were greeted with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine desire to make our special day perfect. A special shoutout to Louise, who was an absolute gem. Her dedication, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate our needs were truly exceptional. She made the entire planning process stress-free and enjoyable. Nicola Duggan was also incredibly helpful and supportive, always going the extra mile to ensure everything ran smoothly. The hotel itself is breathtaking. The stunning views of the surrounding mountains and Kenmare River are simply awe-inspiring. The elegant decor and cozy ambiance created the perfect backdrop for our celebration. Our guests were equally impressed, with many commenting on the beauty of the venue and the exceptional service they received. I chose to stay in the Boathouse the night before the wedding, and it was the ideal place to relax and prepare for the big day. The tranquil setting and luxurious accommodations provided the perfect escape. In summary, our wedding at Sneem Hotel was an unforgettable experience. The team's dedication, the hotel's beauty, and the overall atmosphere made it a truly special day. We would highly recommend Sneem Hotel to anyone looking for a magical wedding venue.

18/02/2025: My husband and I had a wonderful few nights here looked after superbly by Anthony . The Full Irish was the best we’ve ever tasted with homemade bread and local produce. Endless pots of tea , fresh fruits , yoghurts , cereals and juices. The freshly baked scones were to die for ! Tea / coffee /biscuits always available in the gorgeous quirky sitting room. Our second visit here ( last one pre covid ) and so sorry the restaurant is now closed but plenty of lovely places to eat in Charlestown only a few minutes walk from the Riverside. We will definitely return as the location is perfect for visiting Knock Shrine and a few minutes from the airport .

24/02/2025: I recently visited Pascal Coffee House, expecting a decent coffee experience, but I was left extremely disappointed. I ordered an iced latte, only to receive something that was barely cold—it was practically room temperature. How does that even happen? It’s supposed to be iced, meaning cold and refreshing, not lukewarm and unappetizing. It was as if the ice had melted before it even got to me, completely ruining the drink. To make things worse, I also ordered a simple espresso, expecting a strong and fresh shot, but instead, I got a cold, lifeless mess. Espresso is meant to be served hot and freshly brewed, not stale and chilled like it had been sitting there for ages. I don’t know if they pulled it five minutes before serving or if their machine wasn’t working properly, but either way, it was unacceptable. The quality of the coffee here is just not up to standard, especially considering their prices. If I’m paying for a coffee shop experience, I expect them to at least get the basics right. This was a complete letdown, and I won’t be coming back anytime soon. If you’re looking for a properly made coffee, I’d recommend going elsewhere.

I sampled the Baba Ghanoush and the Venison, much to my liking. The service was second to non as with the presentation. Unfortunately I didn’t stay in the rooms this time, will leave that for next time. The wine choice was super. Look forward to coming back soon.

12/02/2025: Oh my lord what a pleasant surprise!! We happened upon this lovely shop today, staff were super friendly, the shop smelled amazing! We ordered 2 coffees and a Baileys Cheesecake. I'm in love!! Coffees we're divine and the Cheesecake was perfect. 5 stars. Definitely reccomend. Will be returning for a breakfast ❤️😍

10/03/2025: Great night out you don't see bar like this any more great vibes friendly bar staff full of jokes the lots great beers on offer food is very good to street stall doing Asia street food well worth a try they take a break for the winter months but they will be back soon. The place it self so cool looking whit some meny thing's to look at you can go ever day for moth and still not see it all🙏👍have say a special thanks to Damo And Chantelle great bar staff around great service you have a laugh whit all big thank's from all of us ❤❤❤

05/03/2025: Cash only but ATM on site. Not busy on a Wednesday but what a treasure. Totally unexpected atmosphere. Warm blazing fire and cushioned benches. Staff are amazing and just looking at the walls is a treat. The owner has turned a nook of the pub into a shrine for his wife Susan who passed from cancer in 2016. It's really something to see. Great pint as well. Spend time there.
