The best restaurants

26/08/2025: The old man employee (not sure if he's the manager or what) is just as rude as many of these other reviewers have said. I met up at the cafe today with a friend to do some work after lunchtime. My friend ordered a coffee, but I had already eaten, so I did not order anything. After a while, the employee chastised me for not ordering anything and said, "We're not an office." No, you're a coffee shop in which people regularly take their time to do some work on a laptop! The restaurant was about 2/3rd empty at this time. There was PLENTY of available seating, and I did not see ANYONE waiting for a table. I'm sure the owner is going to give the same reply that they need to facilitate turning over tables, but that response holds absolutely no water when the restaurant is mostly empty. Owner, you need to stop making excuses for this rude employee. Though I did not order anything today, I have eaten at the bistro in the past, so I have contributed to their business. But I will never, ever return after being treated so rudely. That employee just hurt his business' long-term profits rather than increase them. Do not be short-sighted and isolate customers when there is no need.

06/11/2025: This place is unreal, every dish we get is amazing. Owner is a lovely man also, Food comes very hot and the meat in all dish’s are super tender. A bit more pricey than regular take away, but super quality.

27/10/2025: The best curry in town! And I met the owner the other night, he was very lovely. A Palestinian man ordered a kebab just before me, they were both chatting and when the owner learned the man was from Palestine he gave him his food for free and was super sweet to him. The food we got was really tasty also. Definitely go here! It is worth whatever you spend!

27/10/2025: Extremely rude service and poor food – won’t be back. We stopped into Tequila Jacks in Cork for some drinks and snacks while checking out potential venues for a Christmas party and a family gathering in the new year. Unfortunately, we were met with one of the rudest bartenders I’ve ever come across. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas, and the jug was almost completely packed with ice. When we politely asked if there was actually any drink in it, the barman snapped that there were four drinks inside. When we poured it and questioned where the four drinks were, he said the glass was “too full to count as one” and then laughed, adding that he sells hundreds every week. It was an unpleasant experience from start to finish. We also ordered chicken wings, and when I bit into one, the bone was covered in blood. I know sometimes this can happen and the meat was probably cooked, but it looked absolutely disgusting – so if you’re at all squeamish, I’d definitely avoid these. Between the rude service and the unappetising food, this visit was a complete disappointment. We left and went to another Mexican restaurant in town where we had a far better experience. We’ll be bringing our custom there from now on. I won’t be setting foot in Tequila Jacks again.

26/10/2025: You’re waiting at least 30 minutes to get a drink if the bar staff decide they don’t like how you look! Gave up and left, try somewhere else

26/07/2025: First time here, ordered the bacon cheese burger and sweet potato fries. It was incredible! Huge portions, fresh ingredients, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff! I'll be back again

03/11/2025: Batonis restaurant is our favourite place. We go there regularly. The foos is excellent and freshly made. Place is clean and service very professional. We have been to the best rated restaurant in Kinsale and yet our Batonis is much better:). We dine out only at Batonis.

02/09/2025: I specifically traveled to this restaurant because I wanted to try their momos. When I asked about them, the lady at the reception told me they’re not serving them today, and she wasn’t sure if they’d be available tomorrow or any other time. Honestly, it was quite disappointing. At the very least, they should have clear communication about what’s on the menu and when it’s available. The response also felt a bit rude, which made the experience even worse. For a restaurant that highlights momos as part of their menu, I expected better clarity and hospitality.

22/10/2025: I got severe food poisoning after eating their food, I ordered their spicy chicken wings and their tandoori masala. The naan definitely looked old but I thought the food would be okay. Not recommended at all

19/10/2025: I had the pleasure of eating lunch at the lough Ree Inn this afternoon ,I'm dairy and Gluten intolerant, so it can be difficult eating out, but Gerry couldn't have done more to accommodate me, lovely meal...fantastic service, warm atmosphere....I'll be back...well done

17/09/2025: Great atmosphere! Friendly staff and very affordable. I love this place but it would be nice if there was a bit more maintenance/ refurbishment done on the premises, oil on the machines and new workout mats. Those are my suggestions.
