The best restaurants

05/05/2026: I started to like going to this place until I went with two friends and one of them was discriminated for wearing a non-sleeved top. We were just enjoying the sunlight and the owner sent a message via one of the staff members. I felt very disappointed that this mindset is a thing here in Ireland. I did not expect that!

21/09/2025: Service was very slow took 30 mins to get our first cocktails. Then the waiter came around with only 30 mins left on our booking so we weren't confident we would get a second round in. Felt 1h45 is too short for 2 cocktails with the slow service.

20/11/2025: Good coffe, cozy, small and warm place, staffs friendly and matcha with ginger, never tried before, so good ! The tarts and cinnamon roll was delicious too !

12/04/2026: handy spot This is a handy spot 20 minutes drive from Galway center. It is easy to get a bus or taxi to eyre square. Breakfast and rooms were good. I liked the canopied outdoor seating area. #ramblingstampcollectors

10/04/2026: Had a really nice stay at The Flannery's. We were able to check in about 3 hours early with no issues, which was a great start. The hotel was wheelchair friendly, the room was cozy and warm, and everything was kept clean throughout our stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and having Netflix on the TV was a lovely bonus for those rainy days when the missus and I just wanted to stay in bed and have a movie day. The location was very handy too. The bus stop was only a 2 to 3 minute walk away, and buses ran every 10 to 15 minutes, even late at night, so getting around was easy. Breakfast being included was a big plus, and the food was tasty with both hot and cold options. Only complaint is the missus couldn’t find a croissant on the last day, which she may never fully recover from. Overall, very good value for money and a comfortable place to stay. We’d happily stay again.

07/07/2025: Came here recently for dinner based on word of mouth recommendations. Staff were friendly, and the food and drink tasted good. Choice was a little limited for non-meat eaters though.

20/04/2026: Didn't really want american food in Ireland, but everything else was busy. This place has the best burgers I've had in a while. The hamburger beef & fries (chips) were great. We're from Texas so that's saying something. Our server was very busy, but we could see she was doing a great job.

17/05/2026: Food came cold despite asking for extra well done, waited for more than 30 min to receive it. Had to ask the staff to return food back for more grill. Unfortunately, my experience here in this branch is really bad and will never eat again in this branch.

The staff are absolute legends—always welcoming, lightning-fast, and they genuinely make you feel like a regular every time you walk in.The food is elite level. The chips are perfectly crispy, the batter is light and fresh, and nothing ever feels greasy. It’s clear they take massive pride in what they do. If you’re looking for a proper, top-tier takeaway with service to match, this is the only place to go. An absolute local gem!I actually had great intentions of taking pictures of the takeout bag and how well it was all laid out in the trays, but I was so hungry I just landed it on the plate and snapped one quick photo before I got stuck in. I didn't have time to dress it up or make it look fancy, but it tasted incredible!

26/05/2026: This is a fabulous patisserie and cafe. I ate lunch here twice over the days coming up to my daughters wedding nearby. The lunch options are simply fabulous, feta salad was like a dinner, the club sandwich was amazing as was the chicken wrap, the cheese salad sandwich was so tasty, each day our group of four had fantastic food at very reasonable prices with great service. We also ordered a tiramisu cake for my daughters wedding with brownies and salted caramel bakes, wedding guests were knocked out by the each one, just divine. You just have to eat here and taste the pastries and cakes.

15/05/2026: Delicious freshly baked goods like cakes, pastries & breads- huge selection. Lovely warm brown berry scones with jam & cream, tasty lemon meringue pie.. and gluten free options. You can see the bakers in the kitchen making bread & decorating cakes- amazing! Staff very friendly, you order at counter & they bring it to you. Great service. Always people coming n going.. Lovely atmosphere. Sit inside or outside.
