21/06/2026: Attended a 21st upstairs and it was a great night. Lovely space and great service.

22/06/2026: Sunny Father's day, everywhere fully booked so we went with Eddie's based on reviews, but definitely not the experience we were expecting. We opted to sit outside as it was sunny - it wasn't presentable: duck tape in the middle of the table, presumably to keep the table cloth down - looked awful. sat on the bench and nearly went through it because it was half broken. Went to get a chair from another table and the whole area was full of cobwebs. Everything is very old, could do with a much needed revamp. Clearly stated beer on the father's Day menu but only serving Coors Light and 2 non-alcoholics - pointless to say beer, just put down Coors. Oddly enough, we saw wine in the "cold drinks" menu, asked for "beer" to be substituted with wine. Came out in massive gin glass, and miniature wine bottles, like the ones on a Ryanair flight - very odd, but not a bother. Boneless wing on the father's menu but the main menu clearly stated "chicken wings". Which the waitress also read back to us, but 2 portions of boneless wings came out. Food was mediocre: boneless wings tasted like nuggets. Steak absolutely tasteless, and looked like a cheap ateak out of Tesco. Was closer to well done than medium I asked for. Tough to cut through. Crispy prawns were over cooked - we were given another few because apparently the chef said the were over cooked - weird that they would get sent out in that case. Apple pie pastry had a very sandy texture. Only thing nice was the cheese sauce. I'm far from a fussy eater, so I eat my food without complaints. But for the money, I can't recommend this place. Staff were decent.

26/08/2026: What a lovely man I met here, heave rain, I had a flat tyre, couldn't get the nuts off to change the wheel, I asked if anyone could help me, and without any hesitation the man behind the counter got his coat and came straight out and changed the wheel for me, so helpful, exceptional service, very pleasant, thank you so much.

06/08/2026: From the outside, it looks very unassuming and somewhat deserted. However, once you go up the stairs, it's very nicely furnished and offers a fantastic view of the sea. The food was okay, depending on the dish. They sometimes overdid it with the MSG and spices. Otherwise, though, it tasted good and we had a pleasant stay.

17/03/2026: My experience wasn’t good the room looked ok but the smell was horrendous like a wet mop that hasn’t been cleaned for a long time couldn’t sleep with the smell I was booked for 3 nights but I only stayed 2 the breakfast was ok bit small the bathroom was awful both taps running hot water no cold water couldn’t brush my till I had to buy bottled water terrible experience I would never recommend this place to anyone won’t be back

25/08/2026: Coming from a coffee focused city, I’ve had to lower my expectations (and change my coffee order) whilst in Dublin. Coffee from this place was alright, better than other places I’ve tried so far, so I gave it 4 stars, for Dublin standards.

23/09/2026: Myself and my best friend had a gorgeous evening at Doolally! The butter chicken was exceptional, and the staff were so kind and accommodating. We will definitely be back - I highly recommend this restaurant.

Really not what it used to be which is a shame, food was beautiful but service let down. I also got chewing gum stuck to my clothes from under the table - not good

13/09/2026: One of the worst services in Dublin. A place that cheats and the staff argued with me for their mistake and they state that this is how they work. The lady who is in the bar counter and a male literally pushed me out stating that I am at fault coming here. They even stated that the FortyFoot pub under the weatherspoon banner is not the same place. BEWARE THIS IS A PLACE TO VISIT IN CASE IF YOU WISH TO BE CHEATED AND ROBBED FOR YOUR MONEY. MY TABLE NUMBER WAS 40 : DATE 13 SEPT : TIME 8.10 PM.... They literally cleared my table without my consent and then both these staffs argued with me and forced me to leave the place. The food was not even consumed to a level of 50%

22/08/2026: Great menu big selection for adults and great menu for children too...Ate here two days while in Cork...First day 3 of us had the roast beef special of the day one had the Indian style curry and child had sausage and chips...Second day... one had rib eye steak which was cooked to perfection...one had cajun chicken burger so juicy and tasty...one had the beef burger the best that we had ever eaten....one had chicken goujons and chips delicious...and child had chicken goujons and chips too which were lovely... we tried the pavlova it was a great size and really tasty...the drinks were great too guiness, strawberry daiquiri, beamish and Heineken zero...the waitress and waiter were both so nice and couldn't have done more....All the food and drinks were to perfection would definitely recommend. After coming back 3 years later staff are still amazing so friendly, pleasant and welcoming. Great coffee excellent iced coffee the best I've had so far in Cork , lovely soup and homemade brown bread, chicken and cheese toasties and bruschetta. So happy to have returned to the Court Yard excellent food, service, drinks and staff. Great to have such a great screen to watch a match on as well.
