28/08/2026: Beautiful village setting on Lough Derg. Good food. Larkins is an old established premises in beautiful picturesque Garrykennedy. Great for food music and quality drink. The ideal climax after a day boating. May fly still too cold. One of Irelands hidden gems

07/09/2026: Very disappointed. Got a takeaway with my partner and both of us had severe food poisoning the next day. Horrific cramps, terrible nausea, and vomiting/diarrhea. Do not recommend. There is issues with food hygiene

24/08/2026: The fried Plaice was two totally different colors, textures, and tastes. See photo. €4 for a tiny bottle of Diet Coke. Learn what seasoning is, the bottle of salt at the table was graciously used to achieve any sort of flavor at all. Music was ATROCIOUS. The only saving grace was that they forgot our soup, which we did see and both agreed it would have been awful. Place is clearly understaffed, but the employees seem to be trying, which I appreciate. Cheers.

20/09/2026: Food was ok but we found rude to bring us the bill even tho we had not asked for it... and it's not like we were blocking other clients (had been there for 45 minutes top and half the tables were empty..). The waitress even came back and asked "cash or card ?".. 😒

01/06/2026: I can’t give enough starts for the meadowlands and their staff. Exceptionally clean, comfortable and welcoming. Great food and lovely bar. Highly recommend to anyone.

07/09/2026: The card machine prompted me for a tip after I had started paying with my card. Finger was resting on the machine and it allocated a 20% tip whilst simultaneously billing me. Not good

27/08/2026: Not the biggest range of pizza toppings but pizzas look really nice authentic ones. Nice outdoor area with music but tends to be pretty busy so hard to get a table if you're having a pizza

08/08/2026: Quirky little cafe/store. Truly delicious sandwiches. Just eaten goats cheese/fresh pesto ciabatta and cheese/tapanade. The BEST tapanade I have ever tasted. Y. U. M ❤️

07/09/2026: Probably the best food in Galway. Got there by accident and oh God, how lucky it was. Hidden gem ! Nice atmosphere, cool decor. We ordered ribs and lamb shack. I usually never order lamb shack as from my experience its just never done well as restuarants rush orders out. We waited around 35min and it was WORTH every second. Ribs were so incredibly done, nice around and juicy inside. My lamb shack just melted off the bone. Sauces were amazing, even the side dish of steamed vegs were done to a perfection. Been there twice within one week and just planning another trip. Wherever in Galway you live - its so worth the drive.

05/09/2026: Staff are lovely and friendly. The food is great.

20/08/2026: Very busy when we were there , mix of locals and travelers. Pints were perfect and the music was as authentic as it comes. We had a special treat and Dave Lofts sat in for a couple songs with the local trad players.

19/08/2026: A quaint pub, excellent food, and good music. Table management needs some work. The pub is large, and there's only one person who manages those who want to eat. Obviously, since it's practically the only pub in the area, everyone goes there.

30/08/2026: Malibu Honey Toast - very good. I didn’t even know they had bees from Florida here. Coffee - very good. Staff - a delight. I needn’t say more Go here and enjoy the experience.
