The best restaurants

22/05/2026: Nice and cosy atmosphere with modern decor dim lighting delicious food especially chicken biryani, Lamb shank and chicken karhai. Hospitality was great too.

30/06/2026: I have been a customer of this restaurant since 2012. Over the years, the restaurant changed ownership, and unfortunately the quality declined, which is when we started ordering less frequently. Tonight, for old times' sake, I placed an order for myself and my family. After waiting more than 40 minutes, I received a call informing me they had run out of boiled rice and asking if pilau rice would be acceptable instead. Around 20 minutes later, they called again to say they had also run out of bhajis and could only provide 4 of the 6 ordered, offering 2 samosas as a replacement. At that point, I asked for the order to be refunded. The lady on the phone simply said "OK" and hung up. A few minutes later, a man called and asked why I was "making a big fuss" about the situation. I explained that my issue was not the substitutions themselves, but the delays and the poor communication. In the end, I agreed to accept the delivery, which arrived about 10 minutes later. Once again, the call ended without so much as an apology or any gesture of goodwill. What stood out most throughout the entire experience was the complete lack of accountability. At no stage did anyone acknowledge the inconvenience caused or apologise for either the service or the attitude displayed over the phone. The food itself reflected the experience. The four bhajis we received were undercooked, with raw onion and gram flour clearly noticeable in the centre of each one. The two Madras dishes tasted like watered-down tomato soup with chicken pieces swimming in it. There was virtually no spice, depth of flavour, or resemblance to a Madras curry. Ordering food at 8pm on a bank holiday Monday from a restaurant that is clearly in decline turned out to be an expensive mistake. Fortunately, there are now other, better alternatives in the village. I hope the owners find a way to improve both the quality of the food and, more importantly, the way they treat paying customers. As things stand, we will not be returning, and I will certainly warn others to avoid this restaurant

23/06/2026: Came all the way fron tralee I ordered the 20 inch wrap and I must say it was not as big as I thaught itd be..... It was even bigger savage meal for 20 euros wouldn't get that price anywhere else got half way threw and thaught I saw the angels coming for me couldn't have been nicer there too. 30/05/2026: We landed in Shannon early and went straight to Tea & Tones. Excellent food, great service, darling atmosphere, great prices, vegetarian options. I could go on. Thank you for a fabulous breakfast.

26/04/2026: The veggie breakfast was fabulous, the tea pot refilled regularly, the company was excellent, service was perfect and atmosphere was great. We came after park run while in Ireland for the weekend, this was a wonderful highlight!

30/07/2026: Great food good range of Gluten free products! The staff are really friendly and the service is very quick. They even have a range of Gluten free sweet products which is rare!! There is a lovely shop attached beware if you have a shopping addiction to gift ware!!!

01/08/2026: Food was 10/10. We had the double smash bacon burger with the garlic Parmesan fries, and everything was absolutely delicious. The burgers were full of flavour, the fries were unreal, and the quality was excellent. What really stood out, though, was how kind the staff were. They made our toddler feel so welcome, and their kindness genuinely made our visit even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Cork. Highly recommend!

23/07/2026: Food is really not great. Chicken is over cooked and very dry. Fish and chips were just okay. We’ve had better here in Ireland. Disappointed after seeing all the blogs about this place. They clearly pay for a lot of publicity. I wouldn’t go back.

21/07/2026: Not very sure where all the awards from, we have been eating at so many restaurants and this is by far one of the worst. The children chicken tenders are not too bad hence the 2 stars but I got bang bang chicken salad and my husband got the pork belly and I had to say to hardest chicken I ever taste, maybe that's why it's called bang bang. The taste is not too bad but the texture is just so hard to chew, the fries are not great either. I left half of my dish and was so disappointed

15/04/2026: Excellent stay last weekend with my baby as part of a hen party. Cannot thank the staff enough, I found myself staying on my own with my baby due to the fuel protests. The ladies on reception were so welcoming and helped with my luggage. The restaurant delivered my meal to the room, it was lovely. The hotel is great and the staff definitely made my stay enjoyable and relaxing.

08/04/2026: Good hotel located in the centre of kilkenny. Room was nice, clean and big, and despite it overlooking the main street it was quiet. Slightly odd setup that the quickest way to the hotel room was to leave the building and walk across the car park, but there was an option to walk through the hotel also. Bar was good, just went there for a drink, not food. Breakfast is self service and a good choice of hot and cold food.

15/06/2026: Myself and the wife popped in for our birthday dinner..never fails to disappoint...steak was fabulous...service fantastic...hats off to darren and all the staff as it was very busy...see ye all soon again.

14/06/2026: Don't order fish and chips unless you have low expectations. The chips are frozen. The fish is cut very thin. And it tastes very fishy. Disappointing. Award winning supposedly - that award is well in the past I think and now they're living off of their reputation.

03/08/2026: The big breakfast is a big let down. Was looking forward to a full Irish breakfast with black and white pudding. Everything felt microwaved. The sausage was hard , the mushroom I can’t cut through it using a knife. The puddings were dry. I might as well do a fry up at home. For the price it’s disappointing
