The best restaurants

15/04/2025: We went here for some tea. My wife and I had seen this while driving along the main road on the Wild Atlantic Way. We had to book online to get a table. It's about 10 miles out of the city of Derry. There's a large car park outside and the place is on the main road. My wife and I had soup with Soda Bread while the little one had chicken wings, which were very hot. Half way through theme we were asked to move to another table because the owners were trying to accommodate a large party. We did and ended dup in the main restaurant with trees from floor to ceiling. The little one had a steak for mains which was about as thick as your fist and in her words tasted delicious. My wife had Sesame Chicken and I had a curry with Pitts Bred and rice. The food tasted lovely but it wasn't cheap as the meal cost over £100 for the three of us. Definitely a place to visit but you will need transport to get here.

08/04/2025: The risotto was brilliant! Alessio was so friendly and we had an amazing time. Can’t wait to come back! Tiramisu, Spaghetti, and the Prawns were all 10s out of 10.

09/04/2025: AMAZING DUCK. literally best I’ve ever eaten with glaze and veggies to die for. Crisp skin cooked to perfection. Trust me. Great fish and chips and home made bread. I don’t write reviews but I made an exception for this meal.

27/03/2025: Stopped in for dinner with family. The service was excellent. Had the leg of lamb it was perfect. Had the cheesecake for dessert excellent also. My whole family was impressed with the food and service. Would highly recommend for a great dinner and welcoming atmosphere. Dan from Ottawa Canada

15/04/2025: Everything at the top. We walked around the city to find a restaurant that also had vegetarian options and wasn't already closed (after 8pm...). Destiny guided us here. Even though the menu was not top-of-the-line and the dishes (according to the waiters) were not huge. The food was fantastic, an incredible dining experience. And the portion in the end was normal. With €60 we ate for two, two dishes each plus a drink and a dessert (absolutely try the ice cream with brownie...absurdly top notch) This place adds value to the city's "culinary capital of Ireland" appeal

25/03/2025: Probably the best seafood chowder I have ever had! My partner had the full Irish and it was also delicious. Staff are very friendly as well would highly recommend :)

08/04/2025: We headed in for a last minute dinner a few weeks ago. The atmosphere is so warm and inviting, the staff were brilliant (two girls who chatted away to us and really seemed happy to be there!), and the owner (who was in and out of the kitchen with dishes) was friendly and relaxed, making it a lovely experience all round 😊 the carbonara here is 10/10 and we topped it off with a takeaway tiramisu - the best I've had in Cork 👌🏻

16/04/2025: Can’t beat this restaurant in the heart of Rathgar for excellent food, wine and very engaging and sociable staff. Been going here since they opened many years back and never disappointed. Wonderful spot which even if booked out always seem to find us a seat at the bar. Highly recommended.
