30/05/2026: Great place for a bite to eat after a day of touring Killarney. The food was delicious…fish and chips were piping hot and the burger was amazing with bacon, cheese, tomato, pickles and a tasty mayo type dip on the side. A tad noisy, but that’s to be expected in a busy pub. Overall it was a great meal!

05/04/2026: I had a party for my wife's 50th birthday, and it was fantastic from start to finish. They were very helpful when I emailed them with any questions I had; they answered quickly, and nothing was too much. The service on the day was first-class, and I can't recommend it enough.

26/05/2026: DO NOT eat here if you are COELIAC or require GLUTEN FREE. I was at the afters of a funeral. This premises did the catering and it was brought into the afters. Food arrives in a container marked gluten free and I believe this was. A burger and chips both very nice. However they kept bringing food to our table of 4 (chips, onion rings and halloumi sticks). I advised the staff, 2 of us at the table were coeliac and thus we didn't need as much food but they told us the chips, onion rings and halloumi sticks were gluten free. I was shocked as they looked lovely. They assured me they use seperate fryers so they did seem to be aware of cross contamination. Immediately after eating the onion rings and halloumi sticks I felt the reaction started in my mouth. For me it's instantaneous. Luckily I had my epipen with me. I felt instantly nauseous. I rang BóTOWN and pointed out a mistake had been made and I had been poisoned with gluten and she said 'sorry'. I was so angry. My weekend in Galway was ruined, I vomited, luckily I did not have to use my epipen but sorry doesn't cut it. Be warned.

10/06/2026: Had a very taste lunch with friends. Not a fan of spicy food but was persuaded it didn’t need to be. Opted for a rice dish. No regrets.

12/04/2026: We spent five days in Dublin and it was surprising to realize how, even far from home, we managed to feel a little bit like we were in Brazil 🇧🇷. Looking for Brazilian options, we saw that there are several places in the city and decided to check out Pastel King — and it was a great choice! It's worth noting that it's not a restaurant, but a snack bar, ideal for a quick and tasty meal. The service was excellent, very attentive and welcoming, and the pastel was simply delicious, well-made and with that flavor that truly reminds you of Brazil. In addition, the place also functions as a small market, which is a very interesting differentiator. It's super well located, on the famous "market street," which makes it very easy to visit. I highly recommend the experience — it's definitely worth stopping by!

08/06/2026: Food came out fast tasty burger and chicken sandwich. May I suggest they keep the loo door closed as an odor was noticed.

04/06/2026: The Irish beef stew was good; the meat was tender and lean. I was surprised to find that the plate was surrounded by mashed potatoes, with no potatoes in the stew itself. But it tasted very good. Just one slight disappointment – it wasn’t served with traditional Irish soda bread, but with two slices of white bread.

02/03/2026: We could not have been happier with our wedding at Rathsallagh House 😊 We live in Australia and only saw the venue in person for the first time on our wedding day - but from the start, the communication was super clear and Megan was so friendly that we always felt at ease. We genuinely trusted them to make our special day perfect, and they truly did. The house itself is spectacular. Driving up the avenue, we felt incredibly lucky to be getting married there. We had 70 guests at our wedding which was in the drawing room. We loved the cosy, warm, Christmas atmosphere. What we loved most, though, was the staff. We felt so special and so well looked after all day. Tara was our wedding coordinator on the day and made sure everything ran smoothly. She was supportive, warm and professional — exactly what you hope for on your wedding day. We had the glam room that morning, which was the perfect way to start the day. The room is beautiful and the food was lovely. Our guests are still talking about the two lads behind the bar — they were fantastic all night. The day after the wedding, Nikki kindly and enthusiastically took us on a tour of the house so we could see all the rooms. Our bridal room was amazing — we loved the bath, and enjoying a nice coffee brought to our room. We honestly can’t wait to return and wish we could do it all over again.

15/06/2026: Found this my chance as we were looking for a different place. So glad we did! We did not have a reservation, but they got us in. Awesome vibe- great customer service- everyone pitched in. Neither one of us had a drink but they looking tempting. The bacon wrapped dates- O M G. Food portions were not small. Meals were savory. Savory. Pride friendly. Absolutely going to be return customers!

14/06/2026: We had a lovely time here. The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a good vibe. For starters: we had Ribs and Chicken wings. Portion size for the chicken wings was big (9) so sharing needed! For mains: I had Steak (cooked perfectly to my preference 👌) with a generous side of tasty chips. My friends had Goat Gyro (very flavoursome) and the Battered cod and chips (very tasty). My friend asked to swap out chips for mashed potatoes and this was no problem. For dessert: we had a delicious selection of ice cream and a Chocolate sundae 😋 Overall: Portion sizes were generous. Food was flavoursome and great value for money.

25/03/2026: Solid gaff , good food and service but a little pricey for a pub. Proper good Irish pub though if you're a foreigner looking for authenticity. Great mint of Murphys there

10/06/2026: We went to the reg for food last week for a small reunion. The chowder was absolutely delicious and the fish special recommended by Tila was amazing. Staff were so nice and attentive and Tila really looked after us. Such a nice place to visit. Will definitely be back!

11/06/2026: We walked into Gallagher’s Boxty House on our last night in Dublin. We were initially seated at the bar along the wall, but our delightful server, Mike, quickly found us a table and went above and beyond to make sure everyone's experience was the best it could be. My daughter ordered the beef stew, which was absolutely delicious, but the true star of the meal was the corned beef boxty. It was one of the best dishes we had during our entire trip. I only wish we had discovered this place earlier in our stay—I would have happily gone back multiple times. If you're visiting Dublin, Gallagher’s Boxty House is not to be missed.

16/03/2026: The building interior has a lot of character and is nice to sit in. There is no table menu, it was hard to see the menu board on the wall as I hadn’t got my glasses. On this day there was no beef stew, no mashed potato, no burger buns. Coffee just tastes like a spoon of instant. Frozen straight cut chips fried in oil that needed to be changed- not the quality food I came out for. Christmas table clothes on the table was a bit dated for March. Radio on in background was nice.
