09/09/2026: Not the first unpleasant experience here! Came here a good few times and staff had been on and off each time. The older staff are quite rude and dismissive! Seated us and wouldn’t even look in our direction and waited ages for them to take our order. Although I do say the younger generation working are much more pleasant, Food overall is good quality and very tasty !

21/08/2026: We started with the house suggestion, the ebi mayo temaki topped with ikura: crispy nori, perfectly cooked rice, and the roe bursting in your mouth. The sashimi was impeccable; the scallop had a memorable sweetness and texture. With the nigiri, we went from strength to strength: the first round of classics (salmon, tuna, mackerel, prawn, and a perfectly torched salmon aburi) was already excellent, but when we asked the itamae to choose, the best was yet to come: cured and marinated fish with precise touches of citrus and chives, a superb marinated tuna… technique, respect for the product, and creativity in equal measure. Eating at the bar while watching him work is a spectacle. And the finale was perfect: ponzu ice cream, created by the sushi chef himself, with a sweet-salty-citrus balance that encapsulates the restaurant's philosophy. We will definitely return.

07/08/2026: Dined here on the 7th of August, incredible experience. I was recommended the special and I'm glad I listened. The same waiter also helped me discover the perfect paring of sake, nothing to fault. All I wish is that I came at a busier time for a livelier atmosphere. That being said, the downtime was perfect to chat to the chef while they were working their magic. Highly recommend!

20/07/2026: Hobby barista approved. I was here yesterday, so I'm back again today. The cappuccino with oat milk is easily a 15/10.

07/07/2026: Ready nice coffee and food. Don't believe some stupid reviews on here. It's not a massive place but it's really nice, staff are very friendly. What's not to like.

17/09/2026: This place is a gem, hidden in plain sight. Right across from Temple Bar. Great wine list, diverse menu, great service! Fish&Chips was great, thick piece of hake! Beef cheeks melt in your mouth! Chicken sandwich was spectacular!

14/05/2026: During our Hotel stay we had a special evening, so we chose the Yew Tree Restaurant despite the priciness, and we were definitely not disappointed. Location is a rather old-fashioned small hall but not too overwhelming design and more moderate color compo. We had the 4-course, which is our strong recommendation, since it comes with bread/butter and small, nice amuse-bouche and petit-four before/after the starter-main-dessert. There are vegetarian options. The waiter was as you can expect in such a fine location, very polite and attentive, but not intrusive, overall very pleasant. No issue or comment when we did not everything completely correct (e.g. struggle with which fork/knive to use). When serving each course there was a little "show" of pouring soups, broth and sauces. The meals were of course of less amount but we were not hungry afterwards. Very nicely arranged, i really liked that, please refer to the photos. Great souffle!

09/04/2026: Only the (limited?) bar food menu was available at 3:30 PM; still a good selection of dishes. The Caesar Salad and Fish and Chips were excellent.

22/08/2026: An amazing Pub with a crisp vibe and great staff, same reflected in their Pints and food . Had Guinness , Fried Scampi and Battered Cod . All three things were grand . The servers were so polite and responsive , checking in everything couple of minutes . Will be returning back soon .

20/08/2026: Very cosy friendly pub with a good quality food menu, a bit limited but what they do, they do really well and the ambiance and cosieness make up on top of that. The food is of a very high standard with particular attention to presentation, selection and quality. On a recent visit I had baked cod and chips with salad of rocket, tomato, onion, cucumber, peppers, lemon, tartar sauce and deep fried scampi thrown in for good measure. I've had this meal several times, fantastic value best in the general area at €16.50 as shown. The bar manager and staff particularly attentive and helpful and efficient. Frequently quiet and relaxing, expect it to be maybe busy Friday afternoon / evening with customers coming home from work.

18/09/2026: Well what a lovely welcome first of all. Ordered our food which was a full Irish breakfast as we had not long landed at Knock Airport. Mary who looked after us, she was fabulous. I know its a breakfast but it was so nice.

29/08/2026: Avocado toast with a tiny bit of avocado, cold poached eggs, cold haloumi - very disappointed for a first time experience. My partner had a sandwich with uncooked and chewy pieces of chicken thigh, which was unpleasant and morever, made him feel like having a food poisoning afterwards. He ate just half. The high review made us try the place. The unproper cooking and unfriendly staff (who looked angry because we didn't tip) made us never come back.

22/08/2026: Extremely shocked that this plate of nachos was allowed to leave the kitchen…. This was literally a bunch of freezing cold, slop piled ingredient after ingredient…. It was so unbelievably bland and tasteless with no spices or seasoning to the point where the jalapeños which are supposed to be spicy and kick you in the face tasted like cucumber slices.

05/08/2026: Excellent food and we got beautiful cinnamon buns from the bakery on the way out as a wee take home treat.😋

28/06/2026: We didn't sit in, but the coffee was excellent and the cinnamon bun was perfect!
