03/11/2025: Great customer service.
Food is so fresh and tasty.
Was so accommodating to our baby as well
31/10/2025: A great find! The staff was welcoming. The food was delicious. At lunchtime, there's a €16 set menu: excellent value for money.
Don't hesitate!

Gapo's Restaurant
Listowel
25/04/2026: Going here for years. The spiced chicken and cream sauce is fabulous. I like the bare hint of spice and this suits me perfectly
18/01/2026: Excellent food and great value. The roast lamb is out of this world.

Bunratty Manor

04/06/2026: Our two night stay was perfect. Professional and welcoming staff, spacious room and very serious food in served up in the restaurant.
03/06/2026: This was the last place we stayed on our trip and they were accommodating. It was a ice place and we even had air conditioning. I wish we could have enjoyed it and the surrounding area a bit more than we had the chance to

McHughs Traditional Pub & Restaurant
11/06/2026: We stayed overnight in our Van in the top carpark thanks to the hospitality of the landlord.
The breakfast was amazing 1 full Irish with toast & coffee. 1 eggs benedict & coffee.
The Guiness the evening before was welcome too!
Lovely staff 👌
01/06/2026: This forward-thinking landlord has created a peaceful, level area for RV's and campervans at this lovely pub. My husband was hospitalised leaving me alone with a dog who has fits under stress, in our van. I was'nt able to go every day but I don't know what I would have done without them and their kindness. Thank you.

Vintage Cocktail Club
Dublin
13/06/2026: Great service from Emma. Really lovely cocktails
13/06/2026: Went for a birthday celebration, while the cocktails were delicious and the food was nice, the Service was very disappointing. Given the prices and standard of the speakeasy, it is important that they ensure that customers have a fabulous evening and experience . The hostess was awkward when we went to enter and started engaging customers behind us before us for no reason. Then our server rushed us out our table about 30 minutes prior to when we had to give it back and asked to pay the bill, which seemed odd when we already thanked them to let us know when we had to give back the table (and we were ready to pay at when leaving). There were empty tables beside us so not sure why our table had to be interrupted. It felt like the staff just wanted to get done with their jobs and really didn’t allow for the whole celebration and vibe to go as expected.

Thai Baan Cafe
Dublin
26/11/2025: Food Review:
Braised pork leg with rice - The pork and rice were only warmed in the microwave. The braising was barely noticeable in the meat, and the sauce was too watery. The meat's texture was dry. (1/5)
Pad Thai with prawns - I had high expectations for this dish, as it was cooked by a native Thai chef, but I could barely taste any seasoning. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the prawns were decent. (2/5)
Thai Milk Tea (large) - It tasted okay, but it couldn't compare to authentic Thai milk tea like you can get in Thailand. (2/5)
Moo Ping - the pork meat is tender but the taste is not sweet, savory and no charred flavor. (1/5)
10/11/2025: The food tasted delicious and people are very friendly

Il Padrino
Cork
06/05/2026: One of the best options, in my opinion, in Cork city where you can celebrate an occasion in a fancy and delicious way. I’m a picky eater, but starters and pasta here were absolutely amazing, ended up eating them quite fast hehe.
16/04/2026: We visited with high expectations, but unfortunately the experience was very underwhelming—especially for the price point.
The food was not bad, but it was completely average and lacked any real character. The Penne Filetto was okay, but nothing memorable—something you would expect at a much lower price. The calamari fritti portion was small and overpriced for what it was. The burrata was fresh and probably the highlight, but it was extremely simple and did not justify the €12.70 price tag. Desserts were again just average, nothing special.
The wine (Montepulciano d’Abruzzo) felt like a basic, low-cost bottle being sold at a premium price without adding any real value.
Service unfortunately matched the food: polite, but indifferent and lacking warmth or attention. Overall, the atmosphere felt uninspired and the whole experience quite disappointing.
For €93 for two people, we expected something significantly better. The value for money is simply not there.
We won’t be returning

Highlands Hotel
Glenties
17/06/2026: This Hotel was absolutely outstanding, in a class of it's own. Seriously to die for. The rooms are beautiful set out. The restaurant with as the oak furniture was so tastefully decorated, it's own little coffee shop. The staff were a pleasure to be around. The Highlands Hotel just kept giving and giving. The food was outstanding, my favourite meal there was the mussels in a tomato and herb sauce. The bar manager Tuffer (Christopher) was superb add to to the organisation, a very knowledgeable chap who knows how to run a bar with ease. I would visit the Highlands in a heartbeat and will be going again soon, very soon. Glenties the town is a biscuit tin town. Idyllic with the most beautiful views that stop you in your tracks to take it all in. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
08/06/2026: I honestly cannot recommend the Highlands Hotel in Glenties highly enough. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, every single member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome and valued. The level of hospitality we received was outstanding and truly set this hotel apart.
The entire team deserves recognition! From the restaurant and café staff, to the bar staff, housekeeping team, and front desk reception. Every interaction was met with warm smiles, friendliness, and a willingness to help in any way possible. It is rare to find a hotel where every department consistently delivers such excellent service, but the Highlands Hotel does exactly that.
The hotel itself was immaculate throughout our stay. Everything was spotlessly clean, fresh, and extremely well maintained. Our room was comfortable and beautifully presented, and we especially appreciated the thoughtful touch of fresh water being provided every single day.
What really made our stay special was how much the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience. Whether it was helping us arrange taxis, providing local recommendations, answering questions, or simply taking the time to chat and make us feel at home, nothing ever seemed like too much trouble. Their genuine care and attention to guests is something you don’t come across often.
A very special mention must go to Paul, who consistently went above and beyond for us throughout our stay. His professionalism, kindness, and dedication to ensuring guests have a fantastic experience did not go unnoticed. He is a real credit to the hotel and played a huge part in making our visit so memorable.
The Highlands Hotel perfectly combines excellent accommodation with outstanding customer service. It felt less like staying in a hotel and more like being welcomed into a home. Thanks to the incredible team, our stay in Glenties was unforgettable.
Without a doubt, when we return to Glenties next year, we will be staying here. Thank you to everyone for such a wonderful experience. Highly recommended and thoroughly deserving of a 10/10 rating. (Love from all the McGowans) x

Axis Art Centre and Theatre
Dublin
03/12/2025: Lovely people, great space and show. I would recommend a visit to this venue. The only area that could be improved is the bar, queueing for quite a while, perhaps pre order on arrival prior to the show would save a lot of time and solve the queuing problem.
13/10/2025: Superb play "My Right Foot" by Michael Patrick Campbell.

24/05/2026: Busy, waited to get in. Then they didn't enter into the system, we waited 20 minutes and asked if they forgot...then took 5 minutes. First place that I have seen that have MILKshakes and smoothies both based on milk. It's a milk smoothie. Not labeled on the chalkboard so

Hi-B Bar
Cork
20/05/2026: Stopped by based on the recommendation of our hotel, The Residence Inn. There was a sign at the door stating, “ no cell phones”. Upon entering the vibe was great with classy music and vintage furniture. We had a couple of drinks in the lounge area than moved to the bar when there was vacancy. The server, Alex was great and gave us some recommendations for sights to see. I would recommend this put to travelers.
09/05/2026: Very nice and historic bar that I would never have found if not brought by the locals
